The Pizza is absolutely delicious. It is thick crust with generous toppings. Great pizza place!

So I've heard all the hype about These Chubby Stix so me and my daughter went yesterday to give them A try. We got one cheese, and 2 pepperoni. It took about 15 min and we had yummy, garlicky, warm, toasty, chubby Stix. They were as good as the hype says! I won't eat too often for the nutritional value , but when I want some pizza but not a whole pizza then I know where to go. The owner was nice, funny and respectful to me. We tried this place out because my son has karate in the same strip mall. Heads up, I only rate the food, not the service or the location. We got two pizzas and a chubby stick because the karate studio recommended them. Fking delicious. Tastes homemade and fresh. I'm looking forward to trying the meatball sandwich next visit. All in all it was a great experience. If you care to know, the owner is super nice and offered to change things if my son is a picky eater (he's not) but I appreciated him offering. I have such mixed feelings about how to rate this business. I wanted so much to fall in love with this place based on the reviews. YES, chubby sticks are awesome and well priced at 4$ each for how HUGE they are. YES, the owner has passion that the food is authentic and I could see his dedication from just interacting with him. It was him and one other guy when we picked up. Here is my feedback, and maybe the local community can invest into his business to help a local business owner out. This place has a B and it's because of cleanliness, when I pulled up (first time here) I thought this place was out of business. The inside looks like a run down almost could be place of storage. While the decor is not new (that's not the problem) it's extremely dirty and disorganized. The back door was open to let the breeze in and the air was off or broken, it was easy 85+ degrees in there. The little you could see if the kitchen was messy and dirty and I only share this because I can guarantee this is playing a factor in their health score of a B. It's ok to have an older establishment, it's not ok to delegate the establishment because that in return crests health risk and low health scores. I'm always trying to find goof pizza places in the area and when our usual spot was closed for the day, I looked on the Upland Eats Facebook group for recommendations. So many people recommended Rizza Pizza and to get the Chubbies. I looked over their menu and ordered over the phone for pick-up of one of their deals, 2 topping medium pizza with 3 chubbies for $25ish. We ordered on the day of the "hurricane" and wanted to have pizza on a rainy day and stay in. Rizza Pizza is located in a shopping center on Foothill, in the same parking lot as the drive through Starbucks and across the street from the Taco Bell. The inside was simple, but decorated cute and looks like they're slowly allowing indoor seating again. There was no one dining in, but it was also pouring rain. I think if they had some music playing inside it would be nice. We paid for our order and chatted with the owner for a bit. He was very nice and I like that this is a family business. The pizza and chubbies were really good! For me personally it was a bit cheesy and I wish there was more sauce and peperoni, but I like that everything here is made fresh with quality ingredients. I would love to come back and try more of their menu items. Rizza Pizza is definitely one of our top choices in the area now. read more

The pizza is really good; better than Red Devil (which the style is comparable) and waaay better than Dominios, Kirkland, Pizza Hut, or Little Caesar's (which, who are we kidding, isn't pizza). Discovered this location on accident as my son needed to sit down while we waited for my daughter to finish up an appt at another business. The owner was so friendly and invited us to use the tables as long as necessary. After striking a conversation I asked him what his specialities were and he told us about "Chubby" sandwich. Later that week I decided to try it out and we were not disappointed. Amazing flavor in a homemade sauce. It's a combination of tomato sauce, gooey mozzarella, and pepperoni(there are other varieties). The crust/bread was light and flavorful. The pizza was also delicious and had plenty of toppings and the price point is fair especially for the quality and quantity of food. The hours of business may not be convenient. The wait times can sometimes be longer than expected. But this is one of my favorite places in the IE. Although I've had the pizza here before. Nothing beats the Chubbies!! What's a chubby you say? Freshly made fat breadstick, sliced open with their sauce, cheese and pepperonis or topping of your choice. Comes with a dipping sauce of marinara that when combined offers a flavor explosion of perfection. I've been coming here since I used to work at the local blockbuster video down the block. It's been a while since we've had Rizza! We used to have it frequently but kinda forgot about it. Are you ever in the mood for pizza but not like Dominoes, Pizza Hut or Papa Johns John's.. nothing against them we do order those but when you want like ma and pop type or local pizzeria... yep that's what we were looking for! I called to order and the lady who answered was friendly and patient! She took my order and said okay 30-40 minutes (I expected it to take a while being that it was Saturday night). Then like 10 minutes later my phone rang and she let me know my pizza will be ready sooner! I appreciated that because nothing worse than picking up pizza that's been sitting for 10-15 min. My 2 Littles and I went on our happy way to pick up our pizza! We pulled up and there was a gentleman sitting outside who was acting a little strange but she walked me out and made sure I got back to my car okay. I appreciated that she cared enough to call me and let me know my pizza would be ready early and cared enough to make sure I got to my car okay. The pizza was hot and delish! They put enough toppings on the pizzas but didn't over do it either! The sauce is so good, very tasty! And the crust was soft on the inside but had a crunch on the outside! The pizza can become soggy if not eaten quickly. The pizza is made with the sauce, then toppings and finally the cheese. The ingredients tasted fresh and the cheese tasted good, along with the sauce. The chubby's are great for kids and adults alike. If you don't eat bread you can always just eat the toppings off the Rizza Pizza's. I promised myself I would cry happy tears at some point during this review. It is OK to cry, and it is not at all acceptable to go to any pizza place other than Rizza Pizza. Rizza is parmesan and pepperoni the best pizza place ever. Mario is the paragon of pizza preparation; his genius manifests in an edible lunch treat known only as the Chubby Stix. Let me narrate. Beneath the lambent twinkle of a red and white sits the sacred Rizza Pizza storefront. (Google describes it this way, but Google is sorely mistaken: "Casual strip-mall pizzeria serving classic pies, subs, calzones & wings, plus beer." Note the conspicuous absence of the miracle from the sky that is the Chubby Stix.) Behind the glass window the holy counter shimmers; a space momentarily vacant because in the back of Rizza, Mario, the inspired artisan, labors in a total hush over another pair of enchanting bars laden with golden cheese and layered in the hockey puck pepperoni Rizza is known for. To confirm that all is perfect on the Stix, Mario scrutinizes each inch of the Stix while he blesses it with a heap of parmesan. If a Stick is a creation worthy of Mario's approval--damn I'm getting hungry writing this review--then he anoints it in garlic herb butter. I have had some beautiful life experiences. I even saw a rose grow out of concrete before the CalTrans workers came back the next week and poured more concrete over it. Nothing is as wonderful as watching the cheese rise and fall on a Chubby Stick that Mario, the savior of pizza himself, has just summoned from pizza oven with his supple hands. The Stix are what prop up the city of Upland. They're the jewel of that Strip Mall. They keep customers coming and going back to Rizza Pizza for generations. Mario is not about the money.
