Our waitress, Emma, was also extremely helpful and attentive, guiding us through the menu and making sure we had everything we needed. As someone who takes corned beef seriously, I can honestly say theirs is among the best I've had. Enzo shared that he gets up every morning at 3 a.m. to prepare and cut the brisket himself so it is ready by 10 a.m. for brunch dishes such as skillets, omelets, Reubens, and Bennys. If you are not sure what a "Benny" is, just ask--you will be pleasantly surprised. It is rare to find a restaurant today that delivers a 10 out of 10 in every category, but Dexter Brunch House does exactly that. I highly recommend supporting this wonderful local restaurant.

The restaurant is charming, with the feel of a cozy house and a beautiful outdoor patio. We shared the calamari, smoked whitefish dip, and Brussels sprouts. The Brussels sprouts were the star--perfectly roasted, not mushy, and coated in a yummy sweet sauce. I'd come back just for those! The Wild Blossom Martini was also refreshing and delicious. I ordered the scallops. They were cooked perfectly, but the dish didn't quite come together for me. The "avocado relish" was more like scoops of guacamole, and the white cheddar grits were served as a cake. I think a vegetable succotash would have made the dish much more balanced. For dessert, we shared the Mexican chocolate pot de crème, beignets, and a strawberry dessert that wasn't listed on the website. The pot de crème and beignets were both delicious. Overall, the service was good, the atmosphere was lovely, and the food was enjoyable. A few small improvements would make it even better, but I'd definitely return the next time I'm in Ann Arbor.
