Greek Salad with gyro meat.
Joe G.

Friendly establishment with a large menu. I can personally recommend the Greek salad with gyro meat. It was really good. The cranberry juice was better than most. Found it odd that the veggie wrap was grilled which was not mentioned on the menu. Service was above average.

Lovely mom & pop cafe with amazing breakfast! It's a great feeling to find a place like this that makes you feel at home after traveling. Their "Great Breakfast" was the best bang for my buck. $4.99 before 11am for eggs, bacon, English muffins, and MORE! Be prepared for street parking but no wait time when you walk in. Amazing prices and polite staff. Very very pleased

Food wasn't the worst but it definitely did not look appealing or was that appetizing. I went with a group of my girlfriends and we were all pretty upset with our meal and service from our waiter.

Greek omelet with gyro meat and homemade hash browns

Want a great breakfast! This is my new favorite restart in the Dexter area. I have gone to this location for more than 25 years, during which time it had changed management and ownership many times. While I miss the days when locally sourced trout was an option as a breakfast menu, I do not miss the unwelcoming but short time period where they staff were forced to wear xenophobic T-shirts and I wished the management would read the pocket copies on the US constitution they had placed at every table. Sensing a change, I returned and was delighted! The place is now not only immigrant friendly, but seems to be welcoming to all people! But, even better, the food is amazing and fairly priced (for 2022). The Greek omelet with gyro meat was spectacular! The hash browns appear to be truly homemade, not preshredded frozen potatoes. The toast was cooked exactly the way I like, and they even made an ice coffee for me. Waitstaff is friendly and happy to work there. Modern furnishings and clean bathrooms. A bit dark inside, but they have plenty of outdoor seating. This would be a great destination for a long weekend bike ride....

Every table filled on Sunday morning.

The Riverview is still a fiver with owner and chef Jimmy serving up a wide variety of delicious omelettes on Main St. of this small town just west of the Arbor-town. Today's breakfast consisted of a Hawaiian Omelette, a Philly Steak Omelette and an order of Chocolate Chip Cakes. Awesome tasting 'lettes cooked soft along with small-town friendly service. Great spot...clearly a fiver.

Great breakfast place. Friendly staff, great service, and resonably priced. I am glad to see a breakfast place downtown again.

My "chicken and waffles" was literally Tyson chicken strips on a waffle. If your going to offer such a luxury please make it from scratch.

While many reviews focus only on the food, what stood out to me was the outstanding service, excellent food quality, and genuine hospitality from the ownership. Enzo, the owner, came out to greet guests personally and created an atmosphere that made us feel more like welcomed guests than customers dining at a restaurant. Our waitress, Emma, was also extremely helpful and attentive, guiding us through the menu and making sure we had everything we needed. As someone who takes corned beef seriously, I can honestly say theirs is among the best I've had. Enzo shared that he gets up every morning at 3 a.m. to prepare and cut the brisket himself so it is ready by 10 a.m. for brunch dishes such as skillets, omelets, Reubens, and Bennys. If you are not sure what a "Benny" is, just ask--you will be pleasantly surprised. It is rare to find a restaurant today that delivers a 10 out of 10 in every category, but Dexter Brunch House does exactly that. I highly recommend supporting this wonderful local restaurant.

We were recently near Dexter and it was getting near dinner time so I looked on Yelp for ideas. 42 North (name and latitude). According to our waitress, they make everything from scratch and it appears based on our meal with a bonafide chef. The restaurant is civilized and ambiance tasteful. While it was a quiet time, we still greatly appreciated our corner table setting offered, didn't have to ask. Exceptional service by several attentive and kind staff. Loved everything about it. As good as any restaurant we've ever been. Kinda pricey though, yet a higher end restaurant. Soup of the day was excellent as was our main dish and complimentary bread.

It took several attempts because the phone just kept ringing before someone finally answered. Perhaps they could benefit using an online reservation service like OpenTable. The restaurant is charming, with the feel of a cozy house and a beautiful outdoor patio. We shared the calamari, smoked whitefish dip, and Brussels sprouts. The Brussels sprouts were the star--perfectly roasted, not mushy, and coated in a yummy sweet sauce. I'd come back just for those! The Wild Blossom Martini was also refreshing and delicious. I ordered the scallops. They were cooked perfectly, but the dish didn't quite come together for me. The "avocado relish" was more like scoops of guacamole, and the white cheddar grits were served as a cake. I think a vegetable succotash would have made the dish much more balanced. For dessert, we shared the Mexican chocolate pot de crème, beignets, and a strawberry dessert that wasn't listed on the website. The pot de crème and beignets were both delicious. Overall, the service was good, the atmosphere was lovely, and the food was enjoyable. A few small improvements would make it even better, but I'd definitely return the next time I'm in Ann Arbor.
