    Adeni chai

Love the location in Dearborn/Canton and so so glad to have one in Ann Arbor now! The barista was very friendly and their options are similar to the other locations. I got the Adeni Chai without sugar and it was piping hot and delicious! Their pastries look delicious though I didn't get any. The vibe inside is cozy and modern and very open!

Love this Yemeni coffee shop that recently opened up in the area!! The interior is so beautiful. It's perfect for hanging out with groups or getting some solo studying and work done. Service is friendly and efficient. I really loved the Yemeni latte I got here last time. It was perfectly spiced and comforting in such cold weather. Will definitely be back!

Adheni chai, and honeycomb bread warmed with honey on top.

I always loved Qahwah house at their original location in Dearborn. So when I heard they opened a new location in Ann Arbor I had to try it asap. - Food: Stuck to my usual favorites: Honeycomb bread, warmed with honey on top. Adheni chai pot , ordered here is small pot good for 2 people with regular sugar. The taste is great, as close to the Dearborn location. - Note: Would advise not to drink adheni chai in the plastic/paper cups , somehow it tastes best in the porcelain/glass cups. - Ambiance: Looks nice, and clean. - Parking: Ample parking space which is a plus so im not searching for parking - Service: Polite, and prompt service. Our food took about 5 mins wait time (we were the first ones to get here) We will come back!

Very spacious spot with various seating options good for small or big groups. Staff were friendly and welcoming. It took a little long for our drinks to be ready but I believe they made the adani tea fresh which can take some time. The matchas were supposed to come with cold foam which they didn't tell us they were out of until we asked when we received our drinks. Other than that the place is nice and clean. I loved the history wall and the overall decor.

Yemen cake (like a Dubai chocolate cake!)

We stopped for an after-dinner snack and everything was delicious!! Ginger tea and ginger milk were both good. The Yemen Chocolate was like a Dubai chocolate dome (SO GOOD) and the chocolate cappuccino cake was also delicious. Kids loved the chocolate bombs (cake pop). We will be back!

Adeni chai, strawberry cake pop and spinach pastry

Pretty nice place. Adeni was amazing! I liked the cake pop, it was more of a mousse than a cake but still pretty good. The spinach pastry could have been warmed up a bit more (inside was cold). Service was quick and helpful.

This Pistachio Dream pastry was delicious!

Nate and I frequent them while we're in A2 and recently visited this location for the first time. It's located in a strip mall and is connected to the Westgate branch of Ann Arbor District Library. The employee taking our order was super patient and friendly! I got a large oat milk latte and a croissant breakfast sandwich, and Nate got an Earl Grey tea with a pretzel bun breakfast sandwich. Our food and drinks came out in a timely manner and they asked our name for the order (bonus for this, #iykyk). The shop is interesting because the library doesn't actually open until 10 am, but there is seating available for the coffee shop and people were walking around/browsing the library for at least an hour before they opened. I've never seen such a set up but it seems to work for them! I really liked the latte - it was smooth and creamy, and the sandwich was flaky and savory. They have a great rewards program and overall I really like this chain. Parking is quite easy compared to some of the other Sweetwaters locations, which is nice!

The cinnamon rolls are worth it, and this latest trip had me going for a yuzu lemon meringue bar, which struck the perfect balance of not too sweet, but also not a bland flavorless hellscape, which a lot of "not too sweet" dessert can fall into. Rather tempted to make the trip and get one again before they go away for the year. I will note that loaf cakes, like the apple cake and the olive oil cake, were a bit disappointing--dry, and in the former case, lacking in apples.

I might actually buy coffee and tea as holiday gifts for my coworkers. The reason for the 4 star instead of 5 is because the women's bathroom was not clean, customer service can be improved, and some music can really make the cafe more inviting. I made coupe of orders, one included dessert. I was handed the cake with no fork, had to ask for one. Wasn't given napkins and didn't bother asking. I might sound petty, but honestly the product can be great. However, customer service is what brings customers back. There needs to be proper training. If I'm going to spend money and do everything myself and ask for everything that should be the basic/ standard, then I might as well make my coffee at home. It terms of music, I think it would amplify the space. When I stopped by the cafe, I was the only one in the main space and it was dead silent and all I can hear is the buzzing of the cooler that had the water and pop/ drinks. Some light music in the background would've blocked that noise. I only share this because I would love to see this business thrive.

Other places make mochas that taste like hot chocolate or that make you feel like you've eaten a giant piece of chocolate afterwards. I've had the brewed coffee, the butterbear and a handful of other drinks...and I loved them all. For the kids, they have flavored lemonades and smoothie-like options, too. And, they don't carry donuts, which eliminates the kiddos begging for sugar during the visit. What I don't like: The menu is crazy huge. I had to go inside and get an actual booklet of drinks to understand the choices. You can't just order a drink here. "Do you want it hot, iced or frozen?" I feel if I wanted it iced or frozen, I would have said so. "Three or four shots?" Again, if I wanted extra shots, I would have asked for them. I walk away feeling as if they are trying to upsell me, not really get me the drink of my dreams. At this location in particular, parking and getting out can be tricky. It's a sad little strip mall. Heck, it's too small to even be considered a strip mall! But, the staff is super friendly, so I'll continue to shell out $5+ for my mocha and be on my way.

I experienced all of this in just the first minute or two of entering. And it was packed! I really appreciate the time taken to explain the shop to me and walk me through many of the teas.
