So this is how petty this dealership is. They reached out to me to buy a car I had listed on FB. Sent them all the info and after pulling a carfax they made me a cash offer. After a couple days I reached back out to see if I could get more for my vehicle if I were to trade it as we all know they can show you more for a trade based on the markup they have in their own vehicle. Not at Rivertown Subaru. They offered me less. No problem right, simply walk away. A week later one of their salesman (Teron) then gave me a 1 star rating on my Facebook commerce account stating "vehicle has been in an accident and did not disclose". Not only is this a lie it doesn't even make sense. Any dealer out there is going to pull a Carfax to verify the vehicle condition so you'd have to be a fool to tell them it hadn't. It never even came up in our conversation as I simply supplied the VIN so they could verify condition. To say anything different is not only dishonest but slanderous. I'm normally pretty easygoing, but my most recent experience wasn't pleasant at all. I had the differential fluid changed at the 60k mile mark. After I left, I drove the car home and I didn't drive it anywhere for 2 days. I took it to a car wash and noticed an oily film on the rear window, and all over the back of the car. I took it to a local mechanic and he put it on the rack, and the Subaru dealership DIDN'T put the differential plug back in. Just bought our 3rd car from this dealer (dating back to when they were Jay Subaru) and could not be more pleased with the experience. First, Charles Fields was out salesman and is awesome. He knows he's selling an awesome product and is an absolutely no-pressure salesman. He lets you drive and look the car over. He will let you talk privately as much as you need to. He is personable and a great person to talk with. I've bought lots of cars from all over the country and he is by far the best salesman I've ever dealt with. In addition to the usual car salesman stuff, Charles really looked out for us. I had been in a couple times and was looking for something, but was not really specific. Honestly, I was probably hard to figure out. However, Charles called me weekly for over 2 months to check in. He kept me informed of pending trades that were coming in that I'd be interested in. Made an appointment with the service department, for a specific maintenance activity (timing belt replacement) approximately 1 week in advance for my MILs car. Dropped off the car on the morning of the appointment, and asked before leaving how long the work would take. After the intake person consulted the technicians, we were told about 6 hours. We fully expected, as always it would probably be more like 8-10, so we planned to pick up the car the next day. By the next day at noon, we had heard nothing about the car status, and called to see when it would be ready. At this time, we were told they had no idea, because they didn't order parts until it was dropped off, even though they had known well in advance why the car was coming in for service. Then, they attempted to say they couldn't order parts until they had figured out what was wrong. There was nothing to "figure out" it was discussed when we made the appointment why it was coming in. Now, my 75 year old MIL is stuck in rural Ga with no car, and my husband and I were only in the area for a couple days to get this car taken care of, and couldn't stay any longer than we had planned for. Then, my MIL was getting worried and started calling the dealer. Having no idea who she was, the person answering the phone just started giving her information about the car etc (her name is not affiliated with the car in any way, we purchased it for her and it's in our name), and as unprofessional as the whole situation had been up to this point, I was baffled they would randomly give out a clients information to some person who could have been anyone. And this of course just caused more distress for my MIL, who we were trying to keep from worrying. All in all, it ended up taking them 4 days to do what we were told would be done in 6 hours, all while charging more than double what a quick google search indicates the job should have cost, and based on the initial estimate charging a labor rate of 316.00 an hour. read more

So I just recently bough a beautiful 2015 Subaru BRZ with less than 25K miles on it. Previously owned by a race enthusiast, the BRZ was heavily modified with a turbo, oil cooler, catch can blow by system and a race tuning. Driving down I85 to Montgomery from Atlanta and I enter a rain storm and within a minute the car, like a switch had been thrown, shut off. I sat on the side of the highway for 3 1/2 hours and could not get anyone to look at it because it was a warranty job even though I knew because of its modifications that Subaru would not honor warranty. $160 tow truck out of the way to the nearest Subaru dealership in Columbus and I was met by Service Advise Michael Ippolito. Nice enough guy, they were going to take it in and at least diagnose. I informed him of all of the modifications to the vehicle and inquired into his ability to work on a vehicle with aftermarket modifications. Michael assured me they would be able to check it out. Waiting on an Uber back to Atlanta and their tech comes in and says "First off, I don't know what the problem is, but I think you melted your valves", and Michael is sitting there confirming the diagnosis without even realizing that his first statement completely and utterly nulled out the second one. They said they were having a Subaru field tech come to confirm. Fast forward 2 weeks and I get a call that my car threw its timing chain...at 25K miles and it was going to be over 1,800.00 to tear down and confirm. Again I asked whether or not they were going to be able to make the repairs given its aftermarket modified condition. Again Michael assured and confirmed that it would not be a problem. Fast forward 4 days and now Michael is telling me because of the aftermarket modified condition he was not going to be able to repair or put my car back together. He had 4 opportunities to tell me this whole CAN'T WORK ON AFTERMARKET caveat and when I inquired why this was the first time I was hearing this and that he had a responsibility to tell me prior to investing 1,800.00 into a teardown and he became irritable and started yelling and talking over my questions. I closed the conversation and spoke with the Service Manager Ken who chose to double down and back his advisor telling me it was going to cost more to put it back together. Having worked in Auto Service for a prestigious So-Cal Toyota Dealership, I know that a teardown estimate includes tear down time and reassembly time should I opt out of paying for repairs. Not only did Subaru not reassemble the car, but they left all the pieces in the trunk, so now the new shop has to be paid to put it back together to properly diagnose it. #1. Rivertown Subaru not only didn't provide me with a Repair Order when I left the vehicle at the shop, but now they are refusing to give me my final paid invoice with itemized breakdown. Not only is all of this illegal, but it begs the question of how and why Subaru America would allow a dealership in their network to carry on with this lack of integrity. Not only am I going to submit certified letters to the dealership, their owner group out of Texas, but Subaru America and GA's state regulatory agency and the Better Business Bureau. I'm also a film director with film cameras and editing equipment so social media will be blessed with this saga for generations to come and will take half the investment to make it go viral. I will be forced to sue them for remedy of my damages, but at least they made it easy for me. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER...spend the time and take it to Atlanta. YOU WILL REGRET IT. read more

More than twice my wife had to resign paperwork and products I've ordered they said first it's not paid for twice and can't find it after they've called earlier in the week telling me it's in stock.
