Excellent customer service by Chris and the staff . I was only in columbus for 2 days and needed after-market tires for my Gwagon. Chris gave me a couple of choices and luckily they had my choice of tires available in the inventory. I dropped off my car at noon, he picked me up at work at 4:30 and I was on my way out with my tires . I recommend them 100%. Wish I lived closer , I would use them for everything. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE. Brought our truck to have new custom tires mounted and balanced, and they over torqued the locking lug nuts, to the point where we had to get the stud replaced. After they replaced the stud (yes we paid for this to be replaced) they forgot to put on the brake caliper back on correctly which 1) is a complete safety issue. How did this pass their final inspection & 2) scratched the inside of our new rims. Thank you ptap for the horrible experience. We will never recommend your shop to anyone we know. read more

Disabled Veteran Ripped off These guys are thieves,literally ripped me off and kept my money.. KEPT AND THE WHEELS I PAID FOR. I purchased a set of wheels there and they ripped me off literally. Two days later they called after I paid over 2000 dollars in advance. There was a since of urgency on there part to get there and get it done. I was there in about 45 minutes. I gave them the keys, looked around, sat in the waiting room a little( only one other customer in there and this is a huge store with a big shop). Quite a tone has now past and I went back inside to ask them to load the wheels in my truck and I would have them put on some where else. They refused. I asked for a refund they made excuses. It's been nearly a week now and no attempt to refund or just give me the wheels. I've been there more the once.oh and the guy I had a disagreement with ran down the fence line giving me a finger jester. They have some ties to the community so I think they feel intittled. read more

There is nothing more welcoming than talking to an associate in person an feeling like your at the right place for the job. I went to Ptap today and purchase wheel adapters! I waited 30 mins before any help! I finally spoke with Chris and I ask for a discount of course he was extremely loud and stated NO! I feel Chris took his time on the white people before me and rush me out the door! After I made my purchase he ask me to enter my pin for credit card which he held the machine up high so everyone can see my pin number! Definitely a security issue! Rude and bad service. Guys destroyed my truck trying to put LED lights inside my truck. Broke door panels, scratched the paint, then tried to cover it with wax and buffering, some glue and touch up paint. They claim to fame is that they have a bunch of worn out broken cars sitting around their shack. Truth is they had banged up these vehicles so much - no one will buy them. I would not take any thing to this place that I want to help. Then their tint shop is a mess, had to use the tint warranty to get it fixed right. Had to drive to Fort Walton Beach to get the tint fixed. The guys there asked to see the invoice 5 times because they could not believe how much we paid and then were not sure if the tint was really the warranty tint. Now it is fine, because I told the car to professionals. Ptap the most unprofessional. read more

Was shopping for window tint and first went to a business in the town I live in. Customer Service was awful and even though they carried llumarr products I just didn't trust them with my new car. Did some research and decided to make the 50 mile drive to Columbus to PTAP. Very nice automotive boutique. I really didn't expect something so nice in Columbus. PTAP team was great. My tint is llumarr ceramic and they cut it from the computer to fit my car. It looks amazing. I wish I had went a little darker but I'll change it later. Bottom line I feel that their service was worth my money. The price was the same as what the local bootleg shop wanted....NOT! Go see them they'll take care of you and your ride. read more

Towards the end of December I went to PTAP. I needed a front bumper, hood, fenders, and side skirts painted and installed. The representative Quentin said they could do it and that he would get their painter Richie (Richie Rich Pant & Body). When we went to look at the car I tried to show Richie pictures of what it would look like and how I wanted it. He said "Don't bother, they always use the best pictures," and basically just blew me off. While that may be true, if I'm paying for your service I think you should see/hear what I want done. I ended up explaining what I wanted done to Quentin. I was told it would be about two weeks to do. The car was dropped off January 16th so I hoped to have it back by the end of the month. After the third week the timeframe kept changing. Initially it was going to be done Saturday (almost 4 week's). Come Saturday no call. Not even a courtesy call with an explanation. I called Monday and was told that due to weather (not sure how that makes a difference) it wasn't done and that it should hopefully be done by the end of that day. I went to go look at it and the only thing on the car was the fenders. It was still missing the bumper, hood, and side skirts. I was then told it should be done Wednesday and it was. When I went to pick up the car my initial impression was that it looked good. Upon further inspection I found numerous issues. There was minor scratches on the driver side of the bumper. On the passenger side there was another scratch. The same scratch was actually noted a few days prior. I was told they tried to buff it out, but it is still there. On the hood there are spots where the clear coat bubbled up on the corners. To the point where it is clearly visible. They also did not put the windshield wiper sprayers on the new hood. Reason being that the holes for them are too small on the new hood. So instead of calling and letting me know or asking what I wanted done, I guess they just said they're not doing it. On the bottom of the hood they did not put one of the pieces of weatherstrip back on. When I asked why they said because the lines didn't match up for the clips. When I got home I looked at it and it fit perfectly. If you turn it around though the lines do not match up. So they didn't even have common sense. The hood also sits much higher instead of being flush with the front of the bumper. When it came to the fenders the fitment is completely off. On the passenger side there is a 1/4 inch gap and on the drivers side it's between 1/2 and 3/4 inch. The fact that all these parts are aftermarket does come into play. However, the brand is know for being the best when it comes to fitment. I called the vendor I bought them from and he said he has never heard or seen any of these issues. The side skirts came out pretty good. There is "only" one spot where there is some sort of bubble in the paint. They blended the doors that way the paint matched better. On the passenger door there was clearly some issue where there is an "odd" mark that was left behind along with more clear coat bubbling. On one of the rear doors there is also a scratch that was not previously there. To top it off they took the antenna off at some point and never put it back on. When looking at the car with Quentin, Jason came over and we started discussing some of the issues. He looked at one of the minor scratches and said, "it's not something I would be worried about." I was pretty surprised about his comment and said that if that's how he presents a product to a customer then fine I'll go pay and we'll call it a day. We continued to discuss some of the issues and the conversation went nowhere. I came off very forward as I just paid a good amount of money for quality work and it was not delivered. Jason kept saying how I got a lot for free. This being a piece of mesh grille insert (doesn't match the rest) that was supposed to come with the parts but didn't, probably some bolts, and the entire front doors were repainted. On the one door there was a nice scratch they did at some point. So the door would have had to be re-done to cover it. The scratch was noted to Quentin one of the days that I stopped by to look at the car. Jason also said they were rushing to get the car back to me as I kept asking about it. Well when you said it would be two weeks and that turns into four weeks, yes I'm going to be asking about it. I understand aftermarket parts have their issues, but I have had the same work done before for a lot less and didn't take nearly as long. Throughout the entire process, Quentin was great. However, I was warned not to go to PTAP and went anyways. Definitely not worth the price I paid, especially since I'm going to have to pay someone else to fix all the mistakes. Next time I'll just wait and go to a more reliable shop and better painter. Richie has no sense of professionalism. read more

I took my Silverado to these clowns May of 2020. I had lift, wheels and tires put on. Don't get me wrong, the truck looks great... What did not look great was the fact that they charged me additional money after what I was quoted and charged when I went to pick my vehicle up because it "took longer than they thought". They also left jagged edges cut into my wheel wells that I had to go in and correct myself. Also, upon taking my vehicle to a different shop to have an alignment, tire rotation and balance done and to have a terrible creaking and squeaking noise checked out, I found out that the factory shims were still in the lift kit, which means that PTAP never did an alignment, which completely destroyed the $1500 set of tires I purchased from them, rendering them un-rotatable. Upon further inspection from the shop, every single bolt on the lift kit was only hand tightened by PTAP and the ball joints were barely holding on for dear life. Had there been a catastrophic failure, I would most likely be dead, so thank you, PTAP! The better business bureau will be contacted regarding your lack of attention to detail and blatant disregard for customer safety. I'm glad you let a vehicle in this condition leave your shop. read more

I was so excited to be taking my sons car to be detailed by what's perceived to be the best of the best here in town. Sadly I think if I had just rub it through the $20 wash at 4th ave car wash downtown I would have gotten a slightly better job and saved $80. Very disappointing. From no tire shine to not even cleaning the plastic over the speedometer. I was prepared to take all our other cars there but not anymore. Ptap is by far the best custom car shop in the Southeast United States. The staff is always friendly and the service is top notch. I come here EXCLUSIVELY for work on my Tesla Model S and my wife's Tesla Model 3 also her former SUV and my Son's Honda Hybrid. If we have any issues (which are rare) the OWNER himself ensures that the problem is addressed and that we leave as satisfied customers. I have been a customer for over 8 years and have taken advantage of most of their many services to include three custom wraps, vinyl graphics, three cars tinted with LUMARs tint, oil changes for two gas cars, blacked out rear lights, subdued emblems, an air suspension problem, three sets of custom wheels and painting that they contract to Richie Rich Autobody that is co-located behind their building. They have awesome employees who have been their for YEARS. You will not get a person working on your car that doesn't want to be there. There is no revolving carousel of employees that drift between auto work and McDonald's. They are fully committed and take PRIDE in taking care of YOUR vehicle. The prices are fair and they go through extreme lengths to give you the least expensive option. As a retired Combat Veteran, I do not have a lot of disposable income to throw around. PTAP ensures that my money is stretched efficiently when possible. Sometimes the nature of the work is inherently expensive so if you are not willing to pay for the best service and custom products available then that is a personal decision for you as the customer. You are welcomed to take a chance somewhere else where they will take shortcuts with your vehicle and charge you three hours of labor for a thirty minute job. Don't take my word for it....GO TO PTAP!
