I had a great experience with Riverside Vacuum Sales & Service! I brought in my Shark vacuum thinking it needed to be repaired because it just wasn't working like it used to. Turns out, it didn't actually need a repair at all, just a really good and proper cleaning! They got it cleaned up and working perfectly again, and now it honestly works just like new. I really appreciate that they were honest about what it actually needed instead of trying to charge me for unnecessary repairs. Great, quick service, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. I'll definitely be coming back if I ever need anything for my vacuum again. Highly recommend! read more

Excellent service ! Very nice person, was repaired in no time at all. I would definitely do business here again !! read more

I love this place and love supporting local businesses like this. Seems like very few around. The owner is the one who runs the store and he knows everything about vacuum cleaners, servicing and sales as opposed to buying a vacuum cleaner at Target, etc and talking to people who know next to nothing! Highly recommend! read more

Great service! Friendly, knowledgeable and quick. Highly recommend! Saved me a ton of money by resurrecting my old Dyson vacuum. Thanks so much!! read more

The owner was very professional looked at my machine, gave me a fair evaluation and was very reasonable on his pricing. I was very happy with the service and had my equipment back in less than 48 hours I would highly recommend this shop to anyone needing vacuum repair read more

A great find. The store is a throwback to a different era, maybe the 1960's? No pretense, just good, friendly service and moderate prices. And knowledge. I dragged my errant vacuum into the tiny shop. Several years ago, I had bought it refurbished, or so Best Buy said, but it really never worked as a decent Miele upright should. Since I already had one exactly like it, I knew something was wrong. I was just too lazy to figure out why. I had tried replacing the bag and filters with no improvement. So, first thing he did was unscrew the hose at both ends. Oh my! It was plugged full of foul dirt and dog fur. But the real culprit was a whole chapstick and the lid that had separated and were stuck sideways in the hose. The dirt spilled all over his rug. He reassembled it, plugged it in, and proceeded to vacuum my dirt up with my vacuum. It happily purred and sucked like a champ. He then tossed the Chapstick and its lid in the trash, but let me keep the dirt. I paid him $20 and walked out a happy woman. You just won a new customer. Thanks! read more

These guys are the best. They know their stuff and they're trustworthy. Today that's hard to find. I only bring my vacuums to them.

My vacuum broke the day I was hosting a large family party. I searched online for the best vacuum, because I was tired of purchasing "good" vacuum cleaners that only lasted a few years. My search lead me here, they were extremely knowledgeable and helpful, they saved the day. I have now had my vacuum for 5 years and it's still going strong. I would highly recommend this store for all of your vacuum needs. read more

Very reasonable and kind service. Owner was aware of surroundings and ensured I was escorted out to my car safely. Both dysons came back clean and new filters. read more

I brought in for repair my $400 Henry canister vacuum that I bought 1 year ago on Amazon. John very honestly told me that I should pursue the warranty with the company because he didn't want to invalidate the warranty on such an expensive machine by tinkering with it. He talked me out of giving him money. That's an honest man. I asked about vacuums I could use in the interim. He showed me a Sanitaire canister that was a much simpler and lighter machine than the Henry. I walked out of the shop got into my car and reconsidered. I went back in to learn more about the Sanitaire. He explained all the attachments and how to keep it running well. And he said I would have a warranty with him for 2 years. I liked the idea of having local warranty service and decided to get it. John was also very personable and kind. So even though my trip there didn't result in the repair for my vacuum that I initially wanted, I was very impressed with this small business. read more

John is very nice person. He treats all his customers as if they ate his family. Worth a drive, definitely. Vacuum was repaired on time. Very reasonable in pricing. He told me what went wrong and saved all the broken pieces. I trust him wholeheartedly. With all the electronic nowadays, people tend to just throw away and buy the new and latest. It is great to see such a place that still do repairs, sell vacuum bags and accessories. Please do come by. read more

Great job at cleaning my Dyson vacuum and nice communication. Highly recommend! I'll definitely be returning! read more

I took my vacuum in for repair because the vacuum was no longer working on the carpet, only the tile. The gentleman that greeted me (owner's brother) asked me a few basic questions and was able to resolve the issue within seconds! Be sure to check your vacuum for a reset button. As a result, there was no charge!! Love that the business has been family run for decades! He was so nice and I felt so comfortable there! Looking forward to when the vacuum really does break so I can bring it here! They also have an excellent selection of real vacuums, not just the stick vacs that seem to be the only thing available these days. Check them out if you're in need of repair or replacement! read more

When you walk into the shop, it's like stepping back in time, when family-run mom & pop businesses handed down to the children were common. It reminds me of my dad's old tv repair shop open during the 70s-2000s. John was honest, worked fast and didn't price gouge. He got my Dyson working in less than a week. We both have Japanese moms, so we had something to talk about besides vacuums! I recommend this business. read more

Repair my Dyson vacuum on time. Very knowledgeable and great customer service. Highly recommend to any one.

I don't usually vacuum my house but have someone here now forcing me to pick things up and clean so I discovered that my Oreck wasn't working and smelled funny. I brought it in to this place and the owner found that it was clogged and needed a new belt. He had the machine completely unclogged and the belt replaced within a few minutes as his dog watched him work and now it's working as good as new. I'm not thrilled that I'm going to have to vacuum now but at least I have a quality, reliable machine that gets the job done quick. Fast, reliable service and only $20. As a side note, I recommend calling first. As another reviewer noted at the present time, the website and phone number listed by Yelp are wrong. The number is (951) 682-8819 and there is no website as far as I can tell. I was told he may be leaving early over the next few days and I'm not sure if it's because of the upcoming holiday or just when business is slow but it is kind of a one man operation and if business is slow my guess is that he may close early at times. read more

I sing the praises of this small but mighty local business. It's been here forever. It passed from the parents to the sons. They fix your vac and/or look up your warranty. They're skilled and honest. I wish there were more places like this and I hope they stick around forever. read more

I came here to write a review for this business as I was so pleased with the service. But I see anything I could write would be redundant since every other reviewer holds the same opinion. They are a fantastic resource for qualified vacuum repairs. I was looking at new ones on line and figured replacement was inevitable. But just before I hit that "buy now" button I thought I'd give repair a shot since the vacuum still had a good motor and good suction. They turned it into a new vacuum, replacing the worn out broken plastic parts with new ones. I got basically a new vacuum for the price they quoted up front. Such a pleasure to do business with these guys. Honest, conscientious and friendly. I highly recommend in lieu of sending your salvageable vac to the landfill. read more

This company was prompt at fixing my vacuum which was on a warranty! It was completely repaired in two hrs ! And honored my warranty! Thank you for your courteous service! read more

I brought my Shark vacuum in because I had accidentally sucked up a produce bag and it stopped working. He took a look at it and showed me where the bag was caught up (it sucked up into a trap door where one of the filters sits). He also showed me where one of rollers is missing! I didn't even know I was missing a roller! He took his time with the vacuum and and the end didn't even charge me a dime! I am so thankful and he restored my hope for humanity today! read more

Omg!!! I'm scrolling for Black Friday vacuum sales, in the Long Beach area. Then I thought, "I need another Kirby, that would solve it all. Wait, what was the name of that one vacuum repair shop that serviced, repaired, sold accessories, AND sold refurbished vacuums all while providing the BEST customer service?!" . So I search Kirby and Riverside and guess who pops up?! OG John! I'd been a satisfied customer since 2006. I am HAPPY to make the drive to get a quality vacuum at and shop local small (family) business! This is the BEST place to service your vacuum or purchase accessories. They have always served with integrity and honesty and I am excited to put my $$ in the local community.I will let y'all know what I come up with. Happy holidays! read more

What a pleasure! My vacuum cleaner got fixed while I waited, and I had an enjoyable time chatting with the owner while he worked. Holly recommended. read more

Very dishonest service. After believing the reviews, we took our vacuum here for the annual servicing. Upon pick up, it was discovered that they broke the handle, and when we mentioned it, they just told me the part was available on Amazon. No apologies, whatsoever. Would not recommend this shop to anyone... read more

The owner is really friendly and fixed my vacuum... he's got great prices on vacuums with warranty. Definitely coming back to buy my next vacuum when this one dies on me lol read more

This is absolutely the very best vacuum and cleaners shop I've had the pleasure of dealing with. I've been in the flooring business for over 40 years, you can imagine I've delt with a lot of places. These gentle men are brothers who's father taught them what they know and they take American pride in dealing with each and every customer. They are absolutely fair about pricing, it might not be the cheapest but when are finished you have a dependable product for a good price. read more

Riverside Vacuum represents everything good about Riverside...A friendly face, welcoming environment, excellent, timely and reliable customer service. Hands down one of the best and most pleasant shopping experiences ever...and I was servicing a vacuum. Honesty, integrity, genuine customer service and friendliness might be rare commodity these days but you can find abundance of it all in this establishment. It was true pleasure walking into the store, meeting the owner and getting help from a real person that cares. There is no doubt I'll be back, I'll bring all my business here (and everyone I know). They have all of my support. I'm a (new) fan. Glad I found this place. It gives me hope that there are still good people in the world. read more

i am so sorry i do not know the name of the gentlemen that repaired my vacuum. I only know that when i go to the oreck retail repair store in temecula, ca i am required to give a kidney for payment. The person in this location gave me very important information about my vacuum, repaired it and charged me a fee so appropriate plus better. THANK YOU read more

Outstanding service by an expert in vacuums. I have had the pleasure of having parts and repairs completed by this shop. The owner is as nice as can be. Gave me great advice on my vacuum and the repairs that were needed. He even checked the condition and told me that I should repair not replace my vacuum. Who does that? Instead of telling me to buy one of his vacuums he showed me how to repair it and sold me the parts as well. The prices were very fair. I highly recommend this business for any repairs and for the purchase of a new vacuum We should support small businesses like this one. You will be very happy and satisfied with this shop read more

I've been to this business twice this year for two different problems. The owner is extremely kind, honest and helpful. He diagnoses the problem and tries to do the fix as economically as possible. By the way the phone number listed by Yelp is incorrect, the correct number that I got off of the business card is (951) 682-8819 read more

Happy with my experience here. The guy here was honest with me and told that he couldn't fix my vacuum because the part I needed, they don't make it anymore. He told me that he could put a belt on it, but it would only last about 2 weeks and I would be right back up there, for it to be fixed again. Long story short, his honesty was greatly appreciated and I would recommend this place to anyone for their vacuum needs. read more

This is an outstanding vacuum repair shop, who provides excellent service for a very reasonable price, in a very timely manner. I had my Kirby vacuum serviced and I highly recommend this company. John ordered the necessary parts, notified me once the parts had arrived and arranged to have the Kirby technician at the shop when I arrived the following day. I live about forty miles away and I was able to wait while the service was performed so I didn't have to make two trips from Orange County to Riverside. I was back on the road in about an hour and doing business with John and Donny was well worth the drive. Their prices are very fair and I will continue to do business with them in the future!! read more
