The ribs melted in your mouth and the chicken tasted like it just came off the BBQ! Even their beans were very tasty! It was plenty of food to share plus leftovers! We had just moved to Winters last year from Hawai'i and have heard so much about this location. When our friends suggested we go there I got so excited about it. The best part of the visit was a personal tour of the grounds at Park Winters from Rafael who is one of the owners. He has got to be one of the most humble and nicest people I have ever met since moving to California. There is so much to see and do if you decide to walk the grounds on your own. I love how they have repurposed some of their buildings with old doors, wooden fruit crates, window frames for picture frames, just so much creativity in this hidden gem of Winters. Food was pretty good, the menu for brunch is rotational and overall we enjoyed the meal but it was not the high point of the visit. Several of us got the fried chicken and biscuit and it was good with honey but was hoping the fried chicken would have been more crispy. Fries were yummy and salad option was delightful. We sat near misters, which we would probably ask not to for our next visit - little too strong for our eating setup. Overall a beautiful spot and wonderful way to spend a weekend with the family. In terms of menu items, about 95% of the menu items are the same as Stockton's. I tried the Hamachi Crudo, which was refreshing and I also tried the roasted brussels sprouts. The duck confit was probably my favorite as it was so crispy. Although it sat on a bed of sweet sauce, I think it balance as well with the saltiness of the duck. I had a sparkling rosé locally from Lodi, which was refreshing and not stale/metallic. My friend got the salmon which she said was good too. I think overall, the big appeal for us was the fantastic service. At the end of our meal, our server generously gave both me and my friend little baggies of blueberry oatmeal cookies that we tried later. They were so fresh and delicious and soft. The staff here at market Tavern really made sure we got such great care and attention and treated us so well. My fur boys and I would be happy to return for that same experience. :)
