This is the best restaurant in town! I love this place…read more I had the BLT salad again and it was fabulous. It's because they use a very good quality bacon and blue cheese. I get it with blue cheese dressing Hubby got the shrimp scampi again. And loved it. It was light and the shrimp was really good. Mom got the special Chicken salad sandwich with oyster salad which she enjoyed. I had the cotton candy fizz again. And the Montgomery peach smash. They are great ordered together. The fizz is better without the extra lemon and lime in it (which I asked for but won't do next time) I also really liked the white linen drink. Sat outside on the patio this time and enjoyed it

One order was a pulled pork sandwich with garlic fries, it was very good ($22), the other order was a patty melt with regular fries ($18), the patty melt was flavorless. There was no salt or pepper on the meat making it bland. The caramelized onions were flavorless. The only flavor was the marbled rye bread with thousand island dressing. Hot chocolate and iced tea were the drinks. They had to go across the street to get the hot chocolate at their coffee house. Overall, this is a good place to eat. It has a nice patio out back too. I recommend that you try this place.

I will say to the owners, for a business next to the HWY the place looks drab. My suggestion would to pressure wash the outside and maybe pull the dead flowers out. Ice Burgie and I have a love/hate relationship. Let's talk about the love part first. If you like…read morepellet ice then this is the place for you! Many sodas options to choose from as well as syrups to add in (think raspberry Dr Pepper, vanilla orange soda). Their shakes and malts are great and affordable. My kids love going for shakes after dinner on hot nights. As for food - my kids usually stick to the chicken fingers and they pretty good. They aren't dry like other places and they have decent flavor. The BBQ sauce is good to dip into! You get big portions of fries for the cost, however as far as onion rings and fried mushrooms they get skimpy. I love them, but not exactly worth the cost. They need to up the quantity on those. The jalapeño poppers are always a go to. My husband and I pretty much stick with the bacon burger, mushroom burger, or the bulldog burger (on sourdough). I get my burgers dry, but with the fixings and everything always tastes fresh. For most menu items the cost seems reasonable, but for some the portions do not match the price. We do love the history and nostalgia behind this place and how much it is adored by locals. Ok...the hate. Kind of what I mentioned above - the price for some things just isn't worth it due to quantity. It's not a quality issue, it's more of the lack of "bang for your buck". Menu prices should be consistent and mimic the "low cost" if that's what they are going for. It can get busy and the wait can take awhile. Now, this means a few things. 1. It's a good assumption that if it's busy then it's good. 2. They make the food to order. We need to remember good things come to those who wait. However, if you do want your food in a timely manner and do not want to worry about crowds/lines I highly suggest calling in your order. We do this a lot in the summer even if we are just ordering milkshakes. The staff ....attitudes are inconsistent. Most of the employees are students and all female. I've always wondered why I have never seen any male employees there. Hmmmm ?? But yes, it's true, you can go and have the kindest personality taking your order or you can go and get someone taking your order that you would be nervous to eat after they have spoken to you. I do think that Ice Burgie needs to do better about making sure employees are good with people/customers. In other reviews on here it's mentioned quite frequently that this is a reoccurring issue. Ok lastly - the seating is sketchy. The old vintage concrete tables and benches in the front are cracked, loose and need fixing. In the back there are picnic tables that have seen better days. The wood needs to be replaced or fixed. Splinters anyone??? Possibly updating the outdoor tables with new ones would be a great idea. Other than that it's a great establishment and I would recommend everyone try it at least once. Remember...the shakes and the fries are the most bang for your buck!

Our server was prompt, polite, and friendly, which we appreciated. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated with lots of natural light and a pleasant atmosphere. I'd describe it as "Chico nice" -- casual and trendy, but not fine dining or especially refined service. The food was okay to good, but nothing memorable. We ordered the avocado toast, chicken sandwich, a beer, and a sweet drink, and the total came to about $72. Everything was perfectly fine, just not the kind of food or experience that would make me want to return, especially for a birthday celebration. Overall, it's a decent spot for a casual lunch, but it didn't feel particularly special for the price.

So glad we stopped in alittle after 11am. I have been here only once before in my travels. The corned beef and cabbage was so tender and delicious! We split it along with a small Caesar salad which was actually a very big portion! We still had leftovers! So wallet friendly which was surprising! They have several large tvs in the bar area seating. This place is dog friendly. Because I have a puppy I need to know that beforehand. BOTH inside and outside dog friendly! My puppy was happy and welcoming! They have a full bar with plenty of seating including a more private dining room. I had a nice glass of chardonnay and my friend had a dark beer similar to a Guiness ( they don't carry Guiness). It is definitely a locals hangout today. I heard they are slammed on the weekend and require reservations as there is very little competition in colusa for dining options. We had a great experience! Friendly waitress with fast service! I think her name was Lisa?? I will definitely be back sometime in the future on the weekend to enjoy their prime rib and other specials!

If we lived closer we'd end up as regulars here, but we'll definitely return on random weekends (and making reservations next time.) The feel of the place has a grotto and barn type of vibe. We'll check out the outdoor seating next time. There was nothing on the menu that disappoints so far. We look forward to exploring more (the duck wings will make a repeat appears for us.) This is a fun balance of higher end dining and multi regional creativity that we really enjoyed. The mix of high and low is something we explore a lot in our own kitchen, so we welcome that energy when dining out.

Food: The food was delectable. We did two raw bar items, a starter and our mains. We were very hungry, so it was the perfect amount. They have a super curated wine list, and we got a Pinot Noir from Santa Maria Valley that was excellent. The short rib poutine was SO amazing and I loved my duck. Ambiance: Great, cozy vibe with lot of brick. Bustling but not too loud. We were kind of tucked at a table without a ton of room around it, so that was a little awkward to wiggle into. But overall, if you're in Nevada City, this is definitely where you want to go for a special dinner!
