My wife had the salmon, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and I had a salad that was crisp, vibrant, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Everything tasted clean, fresh, and really well balanced--exactly what you hope for when you're traveling and looking for a good meal. Grey Lodge Wildlife Reserve was flooded. We didn't know this until we had driven about an hour and a half to get there. Pro Tip -- Cal F&W has a website that will tell you stuff like this. Another Pro Tip -- go here! I checked Yelp, and it's well-reviewed, so we stopped. Local place. comfortable seating. We sat at the bar/counter because that's where the action is. The service is great. For a small place, it has a good beer selection. We ordered the Broken Arrow IPA -- came in frosty glasses. My husband gave it a 5 on Untappd -- first 5 in ages. The food looks and smells great. But for the fact that we had just finished our car picnic, we would have been ordered. Next time. I went there for the first time this evening and must have picked the worst item on the menu - fish and chips. It was the usual frozen food service company fish (probably tilapia with gray streaks in it - very fishy) and run-of-the-mill frozen thin fries. Definitely not good quality fish and definitely not "chips". From the reviews I guess they do good sandwiches, burgers and appetizers, but again, I picked the wrong thing and felt like I was overcharged for the poor quality. Great food and fantastic service! Came in for lunch today. I have a gluten allergy and ordered the hot pastrami sandwich and a salad. My husband ordered the breakfast burger and tots. I asked the waitress if the fryers were separate for the chicken strip and tots to decide about my order. The cook even came out to make sure I was ordering safely which I really appreciate. The fryers are not separate but the sandwich and salad were both fantastic. We even ordered a stagecoach burger and tots to take home to our teenager.
