Food was amazing, drinks & prices are all so reasonable! Definitely will come back to eat again when I'm near the area!

Food is good. With good portions and they actually serve small size Menudo on Sundays which is a plus for me.

Excellent surprise find in Yuba City! Thank you, Yelp for steering me in the right direction once again. I was in the mood for shrimp tacos and Mariscos El Capitan popped up loud and clear. The decor is utterly charming! Seaside white and blue abound with beach touches like model ships, sand and shell shadow box tables and anchors. Super super clean look and feel. I had one breaded shrimp taco and one garlic shrimp taco. Wow! Both were amazing...generous portions and spot on with accompaniments. Kudos to M.E.C. For offering s green salad as side option in place of the ubiquitous rice and beans. Everyone I encountered was super friendly. I was in a bit of rush and my server hurried the order for me and delivered a check promptly so I could skeedadle. Highly recommended!

Overall, service was great. It's a family owned restaurant. They do have quite a lot on their menu. Food is alright. I stumble upon this restaurant to give it a try and it wasn't too bad.

Chimichanga shrimp

Fast service and the food was fresh and so good. We came on a Saturday and there was live music. It definitely helped the ambiance and we stayed much longer than planned. Had such a fun experience. This is a great neighborhood hangout. Very family friendly as well.

The food and drinks are AMAZING!!!!! Their by far some of the best Micheladas in town (and surrounding towns). Seafood dishes have sooooooo much flavor! Whether it's just you, two of you or a whole party.... STOP BY! You will not be disappointed. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality of food you're getting. The plates are a good size. Very authentic! If you're in need of some good Mexican food, stop by! Parking is easy and right in front of the restaurant. The staff are super polite and attentive. The decor and tables are so cute! Fit to the style/name.

Food and service was a 10/10! Camarones a la Kora were my favorite. They offer handmade tortillas and good selection of drinks.

Visited April 9 2026…read more This place is located in Yuba City. Plenty of parking plus inside and outdoor seating. Pet friendly in outdoor seating area! I originally came here for the molcahete ( my favorite ). After talking to the nice waiter (Pepe) I realized it would be hard to transport such a large dish into my ice chest since it comes out boiling hot. I decided on the 2 enchilada plate ( carne asada) that came with rice and beans with a generous amount of guac and sour cream! Huge plate! Everything was very tasty! I love the complimentary salsa bar with warm chips! Several spicy options! Love the variety they have ( see picture). I had to try everything! Plenty of leftovers! It was a Great experience with nice employees ( thanks Pepe!). Very clean inside! They have a nice selection of beer as well. I will definitely be back with my boyfriend so we can sit down and enjoy their molcahete with chicken and beef and shrimp!

It only has a sign on the east side of the building so you may miss it. Parking lot is pretty decent size and there is street parking behind it. Had a nice selection of food and was doing a good amount of business. Prices were not too bad and you will spend about 11-15 per person. Salsa had good flavor and the food came out in about 10 minutes. Flavor was excellent on all our meals, chili verde burrito, chicken chimichangas. I would definitely go to this spot again. For what it is, the price range and the flavor of the food it gets full stars.

Sweet sweet find - thanks to Yelpers, of course. We were out on a day trip from Sacramento and…read morelanded in town at supper time. Boom. Opened Yelp app on the phone and scrolled through. It so happened we were directly across the street from this place, and without the Yelpers, we NEVER would have noticed it. Small street frontage, sharing a small parking lot with a few other businesses. So, we pull in anyway. We open the door hoping for the best, but confident that Yelpers don't lie. WOW! The tantalizing aroma hit first, then the clean and orderly vibe, then the comfy chairs. Seated immediately, then waters and chips and salsa. So many options on the menu but we finally settled on Chicken Fajitas for me and Chicken Tamale for the hubs. Lawsy, Miss Scarlett, we done hit the motherlode of deliciousness and fresh tasty Mexican food. We each stopped about halfway through our meals to enjoy leftovers the next day -- and save room for dessert. I had their flan - twice the size of a piece of cheesecake. Hubs had Ice Cream Nachos - scoops of ice cream on cinnamon/sugar corn chips with chocolate syrup and whipped cream. We both agree that the 40-minute drive north from Sacramento is worth it to explore more of what this 12-years-running, woman-owned, amazing restaurant has to offer. Reasonable prices, yummy grub, stellar service. Oh, and ya gotta love a well-appointed restroom with design touches and a painting of Frida Khalo (see pic).

Ordered the quesabirria, a 3-item combo plate w/ tamale, chicken enchilada and carnitas taco. We also had a super burrito with carnitas. Quesabirria was super flavorful, however the chicken and tamale lacked flavor, as well as the burrito. The green and red sauces were both delicious. The carnitas taco was amazing!

Carnitas enchilada-style burrito done RIGHT…read more This thing came out smothered in rich red enchilada sauce with melted cheese all over the top--exactly how it should be. The carnitas inside were tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, with that perfect slow-cooked texture that melts in every bite. Once you cut into it, the sauce soaks into the tortilla and takes the whole burrito to another level. On the side, the fresh guac, pico de gallo, and sour cream balance everything out and give you that cool, fresh bite between the rich carnitas and sauce. And the michelada? Ice cold, loaded with flavor, and that thick chamoy rim gave every sip the perfect salty-spicy kick. It paired perfectly with the burrito and honestly might be one of the better micheladas I've had in a while.

I decided to check out Salsa on a Sunday morning, and to be honest, I slightly regret it. The food…read morewas okay. There's nothing really wrong with it, but there was nothing spectacular or noteworthy that would make me want to return. In addition, the price point is kind of outrageous. Two tacos, one burrito, and one drink came out to almost $30 -- and the soft drink alone was almost $5.00 for a basic fountain drink, which is ridiculous. When you look at their previous menu photos and compare the prices to what they are today, it's kind of grotesque. The burrito is $9.99 tops rather than thirteen dollars. And I don't even think they added the sour cream that I paid an extra dollar for. The tacos are way overpriced -- I'd say by about 40%. This meal should have cost $20 to $25 max, and I think greed is on display here. The size of the tacos and the portion overall weren't that great. The taste was just average. Will I return? Doubtful. The beef tongue taco I had never tried before, so I wanted to try it today, and I was kind of unimpressed. It was soft and chewy, and it just had an odd texture. It's not something I would want to order again. It was kind of gamey. The shredded beef was decent and the salsa dip was good, but again, the price -- nothing worth thirty bucks. Take it for what you will, and if you feel like trying something new, why not.
