Great location. Clean restaurant. Friendly staff. Quickly approached with chips and salsa. Asked for drinks. Chips and salsa provided. Salsa out of a jar. Chips out of a bag. Not fresh. Menu is fairly inclusive of many options. I guess if you want fresh salsa you have to request pick de gallo when you are seated. It's $1 for small Portion and $3.50 for a bowl. Bummer this should be a choice not an up charge. Food came fairly quickly and hot. Portion, presentation and flavor give a 6 out of 10. Nothing special. Probably won't choose here again. Perhaps give another shot next time coming thru yuba city. Only one block of hwy 20. Any others thoughts or comments welcome. The old restaurant located off garden hwy. authentic. Large portions and tasty. This place is only an upgrade in the restaurant bldg its An up charge. F. Prices are fair. Not inexpensive and not pricey.

Service was really good. Fast and attentive. Place was clean as usual. Kids love the rice and fresh tortillas.

Food was very good! I was pretty surprised by this place. Came over from Vacaville dropping my girlfriend off and decided to stop to get Mexican food before she gets picked up. Inside was very nice, decorated with papel picado and even had a tortilla machine in the middle of the restaurant. I believe there was a fountain by the front, but I don't remember that well. Salsa was VERY good and my main plate was good too. Service was quick and felt personal. Si tienes suerte, podrás ver as gallinas pastando :)

The service is very fast. The food was good. Ambience was very quiet bc we were the first customers.

These 3 and so not worth 20 bucks for this place. Go eat somewhere else!

I don't understand how places find it so hard to be kind to customers. When we first came and ate at Casa Lupes in Yuba, there was hardly anyone there. There were lots of empty tables. Then, finally, Bertha K. came over and took our order. She already had a little attitude. But we went ahead and ordered. My husband ordered 6 taquitos. I ordered a chicken burrito. We get our food mine is the wrong meat and then his plate only had 3. The waitress we call her over to ask about it only being 3 this point she's extremely upset angry that my husband had asked then we said the meat was wrong she took my plate and threw it in the trash almost breaking it. Where has customer service gone? We weren't rude or mean. I have never been treated so badly at a restaurant, and I will NEVER go back there again. I feel like Restaurants have really gone downhill, and I hate eating out. So we left and went to a way better real Mexican food place Antonio's

Verde Enchiladas with shredded beef. Really good!!!

We were in staying in Yuba City for a convention at the casino and woke up in the late Sunday morning really needing some comfort food, for reasons some adults may understand... Casa Lupe put that warm hug around us we needed! The server and other staff were all so friendly and attentive. My husband got the verde enchiladas with shredded beef and I got the red sauce enchiladas with Lupes chicken. Both enchilada sauces were so wonderfully flavorful! Lupes chicken was cooked in a really good sauce that brought that next layer of flavor. The rice and beans were good too! We will be back any time we're in the area and honestly talked about driving back from Elk Grove to Yuba just to eat here again!

Visited April 9 2026…read more This place is located in Yuba City. Plenty of parking plus inside and outdoor seating. Pet friendly in outdoor seating area! I originally came here for the molcahete ( my favorite ). After talking to the nice waiter (Pepe) I realized it would be hard to transport such a large dish into my ice chest since it comes out boiling hot. I decided on the 2 enchilada plate ( carne asada) that came with rice and beans with a generous amount of guac and sour cream! Huge plate! Everything was very tasty! I love the complimentary salsa bar with warm chips! Several spicy options! Love the variety they have ( see picture). I had to try everything! Plenty of leftovers! It was a Great experience with nice employees ( thanks Pepe!). Very clean inside! They have a nice selection of beer as well. I will definitely be back with my boyfriend so we can sit down and enjoy their molcahete with chicken and beef and shrimp!

It only has a sign on the east side of the building so you may miss it. Parking lot is pretty decent size and there is street parking behind it. Had a nice selection of food and was doing a good amount of business. Prices were not too bad and you will spend about 11-15 per person. Salsa had good flavor and the food came out in about 10 minutes. Flavor was excellent on all our meals, chili verde burrito, chicken chimichangas. I would definitely go to this spot again. For what it is, the price range and the flavor of the food it gets full stars.

It so happened we were directly across the street from this place, and without the Yelpers, we NEVER would have noticed it. Small street frontage, sharing a small parking lot with a few other businesses. So, we pull in anyway. We open the door hoping for the best, but confident that Yelpers don't lie. WOW! The tantalizing aroma hit first, then the clean and orderly vibe, then the comfy chairs. Seated immediately, then waters and chips and salsa. So many options on the menu but we finally settled on Chicken Fajitas for me and Chicken Tamale for the hubs. Lawsy, Miss Scarlett, we done hit the motherlode of deliciousness and fresh tasty Mexican food. We each stopped about halfway through our meals to enjoy leftovers the next day -- and save room for dessert. I had their flan - twice the size of a piece of cheesecake. Hubs had Ice Cream Nachos - scoops of ice cream on cinnamon/sugar corn chips with chocolate syrup and whipped cream. We both agree that the 40-minute drive north from Sacramento is worth it to explore more of what this 12-years-running, woman-owned, amazing restaurant has to offer. Reasonable prices, yummy grub, stellar service. Oh, and ya gotta love a well-appointed restroom with design touches and a painting of Frida Khalo (see pic).

Ordered the quesabirria, a 3-item combo plate w/ tamale, chicken enchilada and carnitas taco. We also had a super burrito with carnitas. Quesabirria was super flavorful, however the chicken and tamale lacked flavor, as well as the burrito. The green and red sauces were both delicious. The carnitas taco was amazing!

Carnitas enchilada-style burrito done RIGHT…read more This thing came out smothered in rich red enchilada sauce with melted cheese all over the top--exactly how it should be. The carnitas inside were tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, with that perfect slow-cooked texture that melts in every bite. Once you cut into it, the sauce soaks into the tortilla and takes the whole burrito to another level. On the side, the fresh guac, pico de gallo, and sour cream balance everything out and give you that cool, fresh bite between the rich carnitas and sauce. And the michelada? Ice cold, loaded with flavor, and that thick chamoy rim gave every sip the perfect salty-spicy kick. It paired perfectly with the burrito and honestly might be one of the better micheladas I've had in a while.

There's nothing really wrong with it, but there was nothing spectacular or noteworthy that would make me want to return. In addition, the price point is kind of outrageous. Two tacos, one burrito, and one drink came out to almost $30 -- and the soft drink alone was almost $5.00 for a basic fountain drink, which is ridiculous. When you look at their previous menu photos and compare the prices to what they are today, it's kind of grotesque. The burrito is $9.99 tops rather than thirteen dollars. And I don't even think they added the sour cream that I paid an extra dollar for. The tacos are way overpriced -- I'd say by about 40%. This meal should have cost $20 to $25 max, and I think greed is on display here. The size of the tacos and the portion overall weren't that great. The taste was just average. Will I return? Doubtful. The beef tongue taco I had never tried before, so I wanted to try it today, and I was kind of unimpressed. It was soft and chewy, and it just had an odd texture. It's not something I would want to order again. It was kind of gamey. The shredded beef was decent and the salsa dip was good, but again, the price -- nothing worth thirty bucks. Take it for what you will, and if you feel like trying something new, why not.
