Visited June 22 2026. See my receipt as always. First time here and what a great Mexican restaurant! Although no outside seating for pups but the inside is really big! I met the owner JUAN and he said they have been in business for 58 years! I certainly can see why! I ordered the 2 beef enchiladas with rice and beans. It also came with soup and warm fresh tortillas. Complimentary chips and salsa. Both the ground beef and shredded beef enchiladas were tasty! I tried a few bites of everything and it was delicious! The chicken soup was flavorful with corn. The red salsa was mild but the green salsa was awesome because it was spicy and tasty! YUM! They have a full bar and special margaritas. I had a nice chilled chardonnay with lunch. They also have a lady near the front making fresh tortillas. It was a really great experience with quick service and friendly employees ! I came here with a friend and again this place does not disappoint. Our waitress was friendly and the service is always great. The staff were also friendly. I always enjoy my food. The perfect plate that a friend ordered had a little bit of everything, even a salad that wasn't pictured. I always enjoy the taquitos when I come here. We were staying nearby and wanted an early dinner before a show at the Hard Rock Live down in Wheatland and followed other Yelpers. This place really delivered! Saturday late afternoon and this place was 75% full! They have their flour tortilla machine near the front so you can check that out. Our server checked whether we wanted spicy salsa or not (we wanted mold) so we got the pico de gallo and it was nice and crunchy with a light bite to it. We had the two item combo with a chile relleno and crispy ground beef taco and two enchiladas, one with cheese and one with chile verde. The chile relleno was okay, but the taco great! Lots of beef and super tasty. For the enchiladas, the cheese one was okay, but the chile was amazing - nice chunks of tender pork inside and out with a flavorful green sauce. Refried beans were great - still had some solid beans and tasted really good. Our server brought us two of the fresh flour tortillas and they were soft with a nice springy texture. Service was super friendly too! If I am in the area, I am coming back to Casa Lupe! read more

Nothing but good things to say about this place. I have loved this place since the first time I went. It's warm & inviting. It's always clean. The waitresses are always very nice. The food is amazing. I love the chimichanga! I get that pretty much every time I go. It's a bit on the expensive side but I don't ever regret going. The food is authentic. Great location. Clean restaurant. Friendly staff. Quickly approached with chips and salsa. Asked for drinks. Chips and salsa provided. Salsa out of a jar. Chips out of a bag. Not fresh. Menu is fairly inclusive of many options. I guess if you want fresh salsa you have to request pick de gallo when you are seated. It's $1 for small Portion and $3.50 for a bowl. Bummer this should be a choice not an up charge. Food came fairly quickly and hot. Portion, presentation and flavor give a 6 out of 10. Nothing special. Probably won't choose here again. Perhaps give another shot next time coming thru yuba city. Only one block of hwy 20. Any others thoughts or comments welcome. The old restaurant located off garden hwy. authentic. Food was very good! I was pretty surprised by this place. Came over from Vacaville dropping my girlfriend off and decided to stop to get Mexican food before she gets picked up. Inside was very nice, decorated with papel picado and even had a tortilla machine in the middle of the restaurant. I believe there was a fountain by the front, but I don't remember that well. I've been going here for as long as I can remember and I just love it! Their beans and fresh tortillas are the measuring stick in which I measure all other beans with. I just love them! There are cute flowers on the table. Large portions and free chips at the tables. Come hungry. It' comes out fast. Their brunch is great too. The bathroom door and floor is sticky often. I'm not sure what small child is responsible for it but I really don't think it's the restaurant. read more

I don't understand how places find it so hard to be kind to customers. When we first came and ate at Casa Lupes in Yuba, there was hardly anyone there. There were lots of empty tables. Then, finally, Bertha K. came over and took our order. She already had a little attitude. But we went ahead and ordered. My husband ordered 6 taquitos. I ordered a chicken burrito. We get our food mine is the wrong meat and then his plate only had 3. The waitress we call her over to ask about it only being 3 this point she's extremely upset angry that my husband had asked then we said the meat was wrong she took my plate and threw it in the trash almost breaking it. Where has customer service gone? We weren't rude or mean. I have never been treated so badly at a restaurant, and I will NEVER go back there again. My friends are from Yuba City and I was there visiting. They were always talking about Casa Lupe and really hyping it up. I was not disappointed!!! It was really busy inside, but only a 15 minute wait. As soon as we sat down, the waitress came up with chips and delicious salsa. Soon after, the waitress came back with complementary tortillas with butter. The tortillas are house made from a tortilla machine at the front of the store. Needless to say, the food was amazing! My wife grew up in YC and has been here a zillion times but it was my first time. I've been Jonesing for a regular ole' burrito lately (I'm usually a street taco guy nowadays) so I had a chicken burrito and it was really good. Chips and salsa were nice as well. We were in staying in Yuba City for a convention at the casino and woke up in the late Sunday morning really needing some comfort food, for reasons some adults may understand... Casa Lupe put that warm hug around us we needed! The server and other staff were all so friendly and attentive. My husband got the verde enchiladas with shredded beef and I got the red sauce enchiladas with Lupes chicken. Both enchilada sauces were so wonderfully flavorful! We visited together as a family on a Sunday evening for dinner. The service was speedy and our server did ask clarifying questions on our orders. The restaurant was lively and busy for a weekend - many people enjoying watching the game on the TV's. The in house made salsa and tortillas were absolutely delicious! The meals were tasty with large size servings. Taco Bell pizza may have to step aside for this yummy one (see picture). But, the drinks dissapointed us being made with not enough alcohol or too much. The waitress was kind enough to catch something was up with the drinks though and sent them back. Do note, you'll have to dodge the local roosters in the parking lot before you get in! read more

Reliable white person Mexican food. Perfect for me and my younger kids, who won't eat anything but chicken nuggets. Here they can get chicken tacos or fajitas and be happy campers. Its also kept up really well and is really clean, even for a place that's been there as long as it has. We were traveling home Sunday night and passed through Yuba City. We were pretty hungry for dinner so we Yelped and remembered that there was a Casa Lupe in YC! We'd never been, but heard great things about the one in Gridley. We were seated pretty quickly, although it was a very busy night, and the waitress brought water/chips and salsa right away. Both were really yummy! We also ordered guac and that was delicious and came in a pretty generous serving for the small size! I ordered a 2 time combo. My cheese enchilada was really good and I liked the chicken taco. The shell was a little too much shell for me/would have loved more stuff inside the crispy shell. I've visited Casa Lupe twice. Let me begin by saying the customer service is great! Nice people! First time I ordered a veggie burrito. Pretty good but not memorable. Second time I ordered 2 flautas with beans & rice. I also ordered the flour tortilla chips! Now those were really good! And the homemade salsa was perfect! However, the flautas were soggy where I believe they are suppose to be crispy. They were mushy and rather flavorless. The beans okay. The rice simply had little flavor as well. I had to dress it up with a lot of salsa to make it good! My order last night was $23 dollars for the 2 flautas and the flour chips. Too much money for the value of food! I may or may not go back. This is the place we go when we want to enjoy a meal. So different from the fast food places. You get to know the owners and staff and the food is always great. There is also something about creative and colorful surroundings that add to the pleasure of a meal. It is a good feeling to support a local business instead of the big chains, especially since they are such nice people. I start to hurry into a fast food place and then I realize it doesn't take that much longer to eat at Casa Lupe. I think that life is too short for fast food. read more

It may be cheaper to order a 1 item combo since it looks like things are added as single items in addition. We were both shocked that two plates and 1 drink came close to 50$. read more

I'm very disappointed that I didn't get the experience today that I used to have here. The food was mediocre at best. Soup was overcooked and mushy. My daughter's taquitos were cut in half to make "6". There was little to no rice in my Diablo burrito. The steak in it was hard in texture and overcooked. The "fresh tortillas were rubbery and tough.
