Attempted to purchase a preowned Harley-Davidson Motorcycle for $11,000. After I provided my documents and credit information they told me there was an additional $1,000 fee for reconditioning the motorcycle. This additional fee was not included on their clearly marked Sales Tag on the motorcycle. I ended buying a brand new Kawasaki across the street at Malcom Smiths Motorcycles. I have no desire to go to Riverside Harley-Davidson again! read more

I would leave a zero if I could. My sister called the day before with pre-approved financing and arranged for the purchase of a bike the following day. She made it clear that we would be driving 4 hours to get there and everything needed to be ready. She called again the next morning, on our way to the dealership, to verify that they had everything ready. We arrived at the dealership and nothing was prepared. The bike that she was coming to purchase didn't even start (dead battery). We wanted for over 2 hours to be told that no one was available to replace the battery and that we would just have to come back another day. This dealership doesn't care about their customers at all! Talked to John over the phone and put in for my financing online He said " You're good to go " This was a big question I had due to the 3 hr drive to their location. I was looking at a 2014 Road Glide. My friend was also looking at a bike also. John told him "I will have the bike ready and waiting for you to take a test drive when you come down." Upon arriving to Riverside Harley after a 3 hour drive We found that NOTHING in the store was priced. ONLY new bikes NO used bikes were priced. The bikes we were supposed to look at were not there. We could not tell which bikes we were supposed to look at due to the fact that all the bikes were mixed together with no pricing. So our salesperson, Steve, took us over to the warehouse. The warehouse has 10 to 15 bikes in various disrepair, such as the first thing we were greeted with, a Road King with a towel sticking out the bottom of it and a puddle of oil the size of an apple pie. We found my friend's bike( with the preview certified sticker on it) only to find that the battery was dead and it was dirty. This should've clued us in on what we had gotten ourselves into, an unprepared, lying dealership who will do anything to get their customers to come down and buy something. After 30 minutes of waiting they were finally able to get the bike started with the pre-certified sticker on it and it had a knock? How does it have a knock if it's pre-certified I said to myself. Then we went on to the bike that I was interested in I kept inquiring about the price and they would dodge the question, I can't get a hold of this person or that So I can't give you a price they said. Finally they came over and told me to fill out some additional paperwork for financing when they came back with the price of the bike and the ridiculous finance offer that they were offering me. I'm taking to consideration that the bike I was interested in also had the certified card on it When I touched the stop light where the plate was located, it was ready to fall off, there were scratches on the bag, which the salesman licked his finger and said this will rub out it's just a contact mark. I knew the depth of the contact mark. I knew that it was not going to buff out. In the sun, I was able to see more things: the tired look at the bike, the badges missing the cracks in the saddlebags, the areas where you can tell that the bike had been tipped over on both sides. I asked them do you know the condition of the bike? Have you looked at the cosmetics of the bike? Is there any wiggle room in the price? They were asking $17999 for a tired used 2014. They came back with yes we can take $1000 off making the bike $16,000 to my dismay. As I continued on with the sale trying to get a better price, they came back with an increased down and monthly, after being pre-qualified before I left home I told them this is not what John and I had discussed over the phone. I was very specific on the price I wanted, the down payment I wanted and the monthly payment I wanted. They told me John had nothing to do with it His only job was to get people in and that they would talk to him about doing things like this but nevertheless it was what it was. Riverside Harley Davidson's salesman, phone recruiter and the financing department are terrible to deal with. I came down there with two other people: my friend and I planned on driving two Harley's home and a 3rd driver to bring the car the 3.5 hours home, we decided to leave. The salesman was not very helpful, he wouldn't tell my friend when the bike's knock would be looked at by service. He did not ask him if he wanted to call after it was looked at. He did not even give me the price of the bike that I was looking at. Honestly I don't even know if that's the bike I was looking at. He never bothered to look any deeper as I asked him specifically for the bike that I had saw online. Even or 3rd driver was trying to buy a pair of gloves and he could not find a price on those. So we left. I thought Harley Davidson dealerships have to be the worst places on earth to shop for anything. And who knows maybe it was just the color of our skin yes I will throw that out there. I brought my 2021 Pan American to the shop for warranty work on the clutch. The bike has less than 10k miles on it. They said they wouldn't cover the parts since clutches aren't covered. They're a "wear and tear" part. I paid for the repair. The clutch plates and replacement parts took a month to arrive. I called several days a week for many weeks asking for updates. They assured me the bike was being worked on. I finally got it back a month and half later. I rode 200 miles with the Pan Am when I got it back before the clutch went again. I took it back to the same dealership since that's obviously not "wear and tear" under the warranty. They took the bike back in August 22nd and said they'd fix it. I had to send my keys in by mail on September 10th. I called every other day asking for updates. Ambyr, Raymond and the service staff were very difficult to reach. And the automated system doesn't let you leave messages for service. I was promised they'd reach out once the parts were sent. That was almost a month ago. They made no more updates. I left the country for a wedding and hoped they'd have the bike fixed, or at least the parts in, when I got back. I called yesterday and no one was available at the service desk. I was told they'd call back by an operator. They didnt. I finally got through to someone when I called again today. The parts still haven't been sent. Riverside has held my bike for essentially 4 months with minimal effort to keep me informed or ensure timely repairs. read more

It didn't feel great to be called an "indecisive little boy" when I called back to speak to Veronica about canceling the VIP package. Although we can agree that I shouldn't have purchased it at all... so good burn I guess. Jokes aside though, making a purchase of such magnitude for a new bike should come with a better experience, and less name-calling, especially when it felt like I let Harley take my lunch money. I also had to call a total of 5 times between 10 am and 4:30 pm before I was finally able to get ahold of her. I've never felt strung along before until this. I understand the dealership is actually busy, but I don't think I would have been as frustrated if I'd simply received a text message or a reply to the email I sent. I'm not trying to return a pair of shoes here, it's a $3000 maintenance package that can only be used at RHD. I was trying to get ahead of the process and instead I ended up feeling like an indecisive little boy. And I know it was inconvenient to cancel it, but only to me. Before that, I was stuck waiting for the sales team to finish their cupcakes and birthday celebrations for Chris. Happy Birthday Chris! But again, I felt like a nerd waiting for them to come back with another number for me to mull over for the 3rd time. A number I believe they had figured the entire time. At least offer me a slice of cake ffs! By the time I left, the dealership was closing up and I think we all just felt worn out. My manual had to be shipped to me, which Brad handled swiftly, and my bike needed a tank of gas -- which I had to pay for! Small things sure, but again, I had just spent a shit load of money so little details meant a lot. Lastly, I was told at the mention of maintenance that I would void my warranty if I worked on MY bike. What happened to Harley being a "Freedom" machine? What happened to feeling liberated and empowered on a badass, rumbling Harley? I guess that's what we get in California? Also, I found out during the test ride that new Harleys come with a governor?! What did they do to us? What even is this world?! I don't know that I can recommend the Riverside Harley Davidson to others, but I also don't think I have to. They seem to be doing just fine. But it felt like the big dealership stopped caring for the customer as soon as I said their prices were too high, and especially after I left with the bike. All in all, Bradley and Mary were awesome. Not only did Bradley get the bike of my choosing to the Riverside location, he also provided a genuinely pleasant experience and good conversation. Thanks a lot, Bradley! read more

This dealership is horrible when it comes to their service center! DO NOT TAKE YOU BIKE HERE FOR REPAIRS! My husband's motorcycle was taken in last November (2024) for a repair and the bike was there for FOUR months-it was finished in March (2025).The cost of the repair, which was almost $6,000 had already been completely paid for.During this time period, we were promised various dates of when the bike would be finished and ready, and those dates would come and go, with NO communication from anyone. After the bike was finished and picked up, it had to be returned to the dealership approximately a week later after the bike stalled while my husband was out riding. The technician indicated that it was probably something minor that had just come loose.The bike was towed back to the dealership on Thursday, 3/27/25. After TWO weeks at the dealership, and having to constantly call and visit the dealership to find out the status, we were told that we needed to pay another $187 for a diagnostic exam to find out what the issue was although it had just been at their dealership for FOUR months for wiring repair.We paid the fee to be told that it was some DIFFERENT wiring in the handlebars that needed to be fixed.My husband also mentioned to the technician at this time that the lights on the tour pack and saddle bags no longer come on after their repairs and was told that there was additional part needed to fix this problem.Therefore, my husband ordered the part,however,he did not want to have the technicians at the dealership to install the last since we continued to have such a negative experience with them.After taking the motorcycle to another motorcycle repair shop to have the part installed to fix the problem with the lights, it was discovered that the wires to the lights on the tour packs and saddle bags were never hooked back up when the motorcycle was repaired.Therefore,the part was not needed.That technician also discovered that the old, burned wires that was the reason for the initial repair were still attached to the motorcycle. They were never removed by the Harley Dealership. I have communicated my frustration several times to their technicians and even the manager, however, their poor workmanship and lack of professionalism continues. read more

Holy crap does this place suck! 1. I took my bike in for service, I was told it would be done over the weekend, and when I went to pick it up, I was told to bring it back. When I did bring it back it took 2 weeks to replace a rubber fuel hose, and it was done as I showed up to pick up my bike. 2. I bought some bags from them for $800 (similar ones were selling online for $200-350), They broke within 3 days. I went to take it in for warranty (at the same time my bike was being left for 2 weeks), and I called 3 times over the 2 weeks to make sure that they look at it so it can be warrantied, they didn't. When I went to pick up the bike the broken one was still there and they said parts didn't deal with it, take it to service. Service said they don't deal with it, take it to parts. So I took the bags off the bike, dropped them off for a return, they refused saying it's not their policy to take back product, but they will warranty it. This was in April. It's now August, and they STILL have done nothing. I've call HD corporate customer service 3x now, and nobody can figure out what's happening with it. I've been told it's been ordered 6x now, 3 from parts tech, 2 from manager, 1 from corporate customer service rep, but still no proof of that happening. I want to return this bike because HD seems to not know what the F they're doing and can't do something as simple as order a stupid replacement part! Quality -0 Responsiveness -0 Responsibility -0 Care about their customers -0 Competent -0 I would give negative stars if I could, but that's not an option here. I won't be recommending HD to any friends or family, and I won't be purchasing my next bike from HD, I won't be buying any other parts or accessories from them, and I won't be taking my bike here for service. read more

BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front): Has a situation when I enlisted AAA to transport my Street Glide Special here for service because it was too early in the morning for me to be gearing up, checking tire pressure... yada,Yada. Experienced complication during transport process and upon arrival at Riverside found myself ever so grateful for the astuteness and professionalism of the technicians and their leadership for what effectively was a root cause analysis and assessment of the transport process failure. Friends, I just want to ride. We all make mistakes. All I'm saying is the proactive awareness and knowledge base of Veronica, Will, Jarod, Anthony, Richard in Service, Richard in Parts, the Notorious DMC, Kwasahan (I know I messed up the spelling, sorry), Mikey, Josh (both awesome!), Anthony, Jae, and so sorry if I can't remember to shout out a few more of you. I just wasn't able to take other than mental notes at the time. As I shared with some in person, the service wait time should be escalated as an opportunity for continuous improvement demanding immediate attention. Yet, it is also true that I was really needing some love and comfort after towing "Homey" in for routine services feeling like being at the dentist due a cleaning and having them accidentally sawing into your jawbone with no anesthesia! Harley loan officers are a rip off. They will tell you anything to get your Business then when you get your bill even if you have good credit. You will be in Shock I bought my bike there and I financed it through Harley and they totally ripped me off I got a bill the interest was $500 and And one night $190 went towards the bike just letting you know what my experience was it was horrible and they lie they tell you one interest rate and then they make it higher after you get your bill and act like they don't care especially when I called corporate and complained they could've cared less so I had to refinance the bike Let's put it this way I saved myself 14% in interest so buyer beware. read more
