Tito's Mule

This restaurant & bar is located in the Westin. They have a limited menu for Summer which they hope to expand for the Fall. Excellent service and the food was delicious. I enjoyed a perfectly cooked Steak Frites with mushrooms. The bar is nice and offers indoor or outdoor seating. A nice place to chill after a day of work or travel.

Breakfast was perfect

Usually here for business. Breakfast and dinner are great in a nice setting. Recommend their omelettes and burgers!

Free bread

This place is located in the Westin lobby. There's not that many restaurants within walking distance of this hotel so when it's cold out I come here. The service is super friendly! The free bread is asiago cheese bread and it comes with oil garlic butter dip. I have tried the brussel sprouts and mushroom salad here (around 8-9 bucks), not that filling but it's enough with the combination of the bread. I have also tried the chicken panini ($11), decent quality food - I think you can only order this for room service, I did not see it on the menu downstairs. I have also tried the korean braised shortrib- 15 bucks but super small portion-good flavor. This place is pricey but it's in the hotel so what do you expect.

Ah, this place will have a special place in my heart forever. This was the location of our rehearsal dinner. They did a nice job accommodating 23 people in a cozy environment. We ordered roughly about 36 small dishes, salads, and salmon/steak for everyone. At the end of the day, food was amazing, and all of our guests were pretty happy - but they were TIRED from how late into the night we had to wait for our food. I would have hoped that if they were anticipating a group of ~25 people that they would have had staff to accommodate. Service, although courteous, was incredibly and painstakingly slow. My husband and I also came here for the morning after our wedding - our first breakfast together as a married couple! Food again was great, servers were kind, but again, very slow to refill our drinks/take our check/etc. Overall, this place is great. Ambiance, decor, and food are amazing. Maybe they don't usually have a high turnover rate so the restaurant is not staffed that way, but service tends to slow down immensely with large numbers of people. Hopefully you will get the chance to come on a less popular day to experience this place!

We came here for some light fare/tapa style dinner. It was quiet for a Friday (only one table filled) and it took forever to get seated. We almost left because we weren't sure how the table service would be. Loved my cocktail. The curried carrot soup was nice and probably my near favorite dish of the night. The frisée and manchego salad was delightful and a nice blend of cheese and fruit. The Brussel sprouts were meh. I didn't care for the Brie with the fruit at all. This dish seemed overbaked. Lastly, the tuna lettuce wraps were not well prepared. It was supposed to be seared and it was basically cooked. Overall, this place missed the mark. Oh, and the stalls in the bathroom don't lock. I tried three and got the same result. Ended up holding the door shut while I went.

Roasted Cauliflower Salad topped with Salmon

I've been here a few times and always enjoy the fresh ingredients and the changing menu. Went with some coworkers for lunch and they handled our group of 10 with ease. I had the roasted cauliflower salad and requested that it be topped with salmon. Wow! The fish was very tasty but overshadowed by one of the best salads that i have eaten in ages. Baby kale, carrots, radish, blue cheese, almonds and bites of cauliflower with a truffle vinaigrette. So amazing!

Crispy chicken sandwich with kimchee and a cup of tomato bisque soup.

Picked the wife up from the Wilmington train station and headed over the the westin for lunch. Pretty decent lunch spot for a hotel pub. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with kimchee on a brioche bun. I substituted tomato bisque soup for fries. Food came out fast and was creatively plated. However, the oil in frier needs to be changed. You could taste it on the breading of the chicken.

Sea Bass with lemon grass broth

After checking in to the Westin, we walked along the Riverwalk looking for dinner. After reviewing all of our options we decided to go back to the hotel and grab a burger at the bar. We walked into the restaurant, River Rock Kitchen, and were pleasantly surprised at the small plates tapas menu. The combination of flavors found on each dish were sublime. And I don't say that lightly - I've had lots and lots of calamari, Brussel sprouts and sea bass but the dishes we had tonight were exceptional. The calamari was paired with banana peppers which offset any hint of the over fried flavor so commonly associated with calamari - it was great. The Brussel sprouts had a delicate hint of pork which accented their essential nature rather than crushing it into porky submission - another winner. Sea bass may be good or just another fish. When the chef paired tonight's sea bass with a mild lemon grass broth he was able to create a harmony where the whole was truly greater than the sum of its parts. All in all, this was a stellar meal quietly tucked away inside the Westin. The service was pleasant and the decor interesting. Our total bill was in line with what we would have paid at one of the local fish houses. I will be back soon.

The food we had was fine. The mussles and frites were good, I would have thought the fries come with the sauce but they didn't. The risotto was slight malt under seasoned. The beet salad was really tasty! This resturant is always thorough when it comes to allergies. They have a hard time with the two server communication aspect. I've been here twice and both times they seemed one beat off from each other. Also for having two servers they don't check on you often enough. That could also be a communication/timing thing. (if you think someone else was there or not) we only ordered one drink because we didn't want to wait after we finished our food to order another. The drinks here are fantastic though. We dined for 2 hours and only was able to order one drink and apps. We probably would have enjoyed more but personally I didn't have to time sit any longer. I would give them one more try but 202 is a pain and this might not be worth the drive with so many comparable options of fine dining in Wilmington.

Hummingbird to Mars is one of those rare places that reminds you why small businesses matter…read more Tucked away like a true speakeasy, it has an atmosphere that immediately pulls you in: low light, intimate corners, and a sense that you've stepped into a place where craft still means something. The bartenders are the heart of the experience. They don't just pour drinks; they create them. There's real skill and artistry behind the bar, and the conversation is as good as the cocktails. You can tell they care about balance, technique, and presentation. The Walk in the Garden gin cocktail is the perfect example: bright, layered flavors, premium ingredients, and that lavender garnish that hits your nose before the first sip. The scent alone sets the stage for the drink. It's thoughtful, elegant, and exactly what a craft cocktail should be. The food holds its own right alongside the drinks. The skillet meatballs come out tender and full of flavor, the kind of dish that disappears faster than you expect. The potato skins are crisp, satisfying, and exactly what you want with a cocktail in hand. And the homemade Baileys cheesecake is the kind of dessert you plan to share but end up guarding with your fork. It's rich without being heavy, with that unmistakable homemade touch. One of the best parts of Hummingbird to Mars is the tapas-style menu. You can eat as much or as little as you want, a couple of small plates with drinks, or a full progression from appetizers to dessert. It gives you the freedom to shape the night however you want, without committing to oversized entrées or predictable bar food. And that's the bigger point: places like this don't happen by accident. They come from creativity, risk-taking, and a commitment to doing things well. If we don't support small businesses that put this level of care into their craft, we'll be left with nothing but the same chains serving the same menus everywhere you go. Hummingbird to Mars is the antidote to that; personal, inventive, and genuinely memorable. From the first sip to the last bite, it's a place that delivers an experience, not just a night out. It's worth supporting, worth returning to, and worth celebrating.

Shoutout to Christian! We went with a bigger party this time - total of 6. Would highly recommend reservations. Parking can be challenging but worth the work. There's a bar, seating areas, and lounge areas as well. There's also live music. Check their socials. We ordered lots of drinks - 12 total. Every single one was absolutely delicious. Doesn't matter what you order. They do have seasonal cocktails too. You can't go wrong. Food! Okay, just order one of everything. We got meatballs (highly recommend), tuna, pizzas (shareable size). All the things were good. Again, you can see this isn't our first time here (see previous reviews). We will continue to share this place with as many people as we can as it is a superb experience! Just all around a lovely place to sit and enjoy cocktails and good. For sure meets that speakeasy vibe!

We were greeted immediately by our server and a trainee. I ordered an old fashioned and my wife ordered a specialty cocktail. Both tasted great however, wait for the drink was excessive. The bar had an afterwork crowd and it appeared a bit understaffed. For my meal I ordered grilled octopus for a starter and I think it was one of the best I've ever had. Tender, savory with a really flavorful sauce. My wife had the Ricotta focaccia. Loved it. For dinner I had the pasta with mushroom and truffle. It was amazing. Temperature was perfect. It was hot, creamy and amazingly flavorful. My wife had the bream fish dish. She enjoyed that as well. For dessert we had the almond/chocolate tort. Very nicely warmed with a rich chocolate flavor to end the meal. I'll be back for sure.

However, the menu got the best of us and we ended up ordering a bunch of little things which ended up being far too much, but definitely in a good way. The space is quirky with a wonderful neo-mod design that is very eye catching and makes great use of the old diner aesthetic of the previous space, while improving upon it a hundredfold by making it much classier but not over the top. It does feel decidedly like a 1960's Italian locale out of a Roger Moore or Sean Connery era Bond film; to great effect. Another thing I loved about the design is that it feels compact but not small. I dislike huge restaurants, and love the family owned vibe, and this space occupies the very nice Goldilocks zone between being 'just right'. The food was good and I will get to that, but what really made our experience was our outstanding, amazing, dare I say...... legendary server, Alice. She was just flat out hands down an all around pro with a great attitude, a kind smile, and a wonderful personality who knew exactly how to keep a table like ours happy, engaged, and ready to come back again. This is something that I feel has been missing in so many places since Covid occurred, and encountering someone as great as Alice just really made the whole time there a notch above. Finally getting to the food, which was obviously delicious, there was nothing that was absolutely mind blowing, but all of it was very unique and extremely well prepared and flavorful. I did like that not everything was tomato-centric on the menu and there was a vast variety of different dishes that match the uniqueness of the space. The highlight for me was the carrot soup, not an every day item, that was nice and heavy with cumin. Brilliant flavors but not too forward, which followed our caprese dip that was an outstanding take on a dish that everyone loves, but is overdone at this point. The bread they are serving here is insanely good; either lightly toasted or grilled quickly on a flat grill, I am not sure, but slathered with high quality olive oil and it's perfectly soft, crispy, crusty, and chewy all at the same time. Testa Rossa is definitely worth checking out, and we only went for a few small plates with the intention of it being a snack. Apparently the family has more than one location, although I am not sure where the others are. If you are near Glen Mills, it is definitely worth the trip to stop in here and give them a try. Oh, and don't forget to pair your food with the super cool espresso martini tower, because you get to choose the flavors, but I'm still sticking with classic as my favorite!
