I had the confirmation which they sent me and they made a mistake on their end and double booked the room, so we were displaced from having a room for Christmas. We called around and found the Castle Inn and spoke with Debbie who had a room available and saved our Christmas from being ruined. She gave us a discount for having to be stressed out by the other business which was sweet of her. She made us feel welcome and we loved our stay at her place. We loved having the balcony overlooking Main Street and seeing all the beautiful lights. We had the best stay at the castle inn and will definitely be back. Thank you for your hospitality, Debbie. I recommend everyone to stay at the Castle Inn while in Helen, GA.

We reached the hotel around 10pm. Noticed that almost all stores and restaurants close early in Helen. But the check in staff was very helpful. She gave us an area map and list of things we could do. Also suggested a pizza place...which was the only place open at that time and would deliver. Our room was neat and clean. The hotel had complimentary breakfast "covid style". Meaning, you pick the items that you want from what they have available. They had quite a few selections. Cereal, juice, fruit, yogurt, nutri bar and cinnamon rolls. In hot breakfast they did not have anything vegetarian. They did have plain biscuits though. You tell the staff (who is wearing mask and gloves) what you want and she makes a tray for you. You can either eat in the dining area or take it to your room. The hotel seemed to follow the CDC guidelines for Covid. They do not enter your room for cleaning everyday (how it used to be before covid). If you need anything you just call the front desk and they bring it to you. Plus every day when we came back to the hotel in the evening...they left a care package with a towel, napkin, soap, toilet paper, etc. We didnt really had to ask for anything. The staff was helpful. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

The bathroom was smelly upon arrival and the thin concrete floors were just noisier than normal. I wasn't impressed with the Costa Coffee. It was too little flavor for me. We initially prepaid for two nights, but checked out after only one night due to the intolerable conditions. They promised to "look into a refund" for the unused night, but have been totally unresponsive to phone calls and texts over several weeks. We finally filed a dispute with Mastercard to recoup the cost of the paid for, but unused, second night AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!

Be prepared that due to Covid it's best if you brought some Clorox wipes with you in case you want to wipe your room down. Also if you want a bag for b'fast you need to fill out the form at the front desk the night before. I felt safe in the hotel. The river was soothing eve in winter.

Tammy O is our first shout-out: I had a medical emergency and spent the night in the ER before our trip. I understood and respected the cancellation policy but called anyway to see if we could push our reservation back one day. Tammy graciously accommodated this change and completely saved our honeymoon! Upon arrival we were immediate greeted by our complimentary valet, and he was a lovely gentlemen. There were several front desk rockstars who assisted us throughout our stay and I regret I cannot name them individually. Our room was great, it was nice and quiet with a gorgeous balcony. (See photo of sunrise!). We ordered room service multiple times and it arrived promptly. All the food we ordered blew us away. Caledonia was too notch and accommodated my food allergy. We enjoyed the sky bar with Melissa and breakfast at Caledonia with Teddy. Karen at the spa called me to help arrange several fantastic and luxurious services. If she hadn't called, I may not have booked! So glad I did. Big thank-you to the ladies at the spa. You HAVE to try the head-spa experience!! The pool was lovely. The water was a perfect temp and they offer plenty of floaties. We enjoyed beer poolside thanks to Teddy. I think my favorite part was that they don't allow kids under (I think) 14. Sorry! But there should be luxury experiences available for adults only. Valhalla checked that box. I wanted to add one detail that mattered a lot to us: my husband and I are a heavily tattooed alternative couple. We live in Asheville, NC where the majority of our community looks just like us. But when we travel outside our bubble, we expect that people may treat us differently. Valhalla staff warmed up to us quickly and treated us like family. We notice these things and it always makes a difference in our experience. Thank you! We made a great choice with Valhalla. We are big Christmas people and I'd love to return for the holidays. Thanks again for everything. You made our honeymoon!

We arrive at this tourist trap, literally because you are a bit isolated. This Hilton property is old and dated and you are paying PREMIUM price for sure. I would give it a 2 to a 2.5 but it gets a 3 because the guy manning the reception desk was helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Did I mention its isolated thus the best game in town so far? My husband had scheduled a massage as a gift for that afternoon. This was probably the worst experience I have had. The therapist was poor in her execution, style and even manner. Before my treatment even started she mentioned an up charge for deep tissue. During my treatment she burped two times and her massage was far from relaxing her massage etiquette as a therapist was poor and as it was my birthday it sort of ruined my whole experience there, which was a shame. I did reach out to the B&B and provided my feedback, was told the spa manager (Tanya) would reach out but she never did. Heard back from the B&B manager and she told me the owner would give me a $50 dollar credit to my treatment the next time! We live almost two hours away so will not be planning on using that any time soon. To be honest after that experience I would not go back to the spa. The b&b was lovely the massage experience not so.

Title: A Blissful Retreat at Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa…read more Rating: (5/5) My partner and I recently enjoyed a two-day stay at Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, the impeccable service and breathtaking surroundings left us utterly enchanted. Firstly, I must commend Alex, the multi-talented front desk manager and concierge. Her warm welcome and exceptional hospitality set the tone for our entire stay. Alex not only ensured a smooth check-in but also provided us with valuable information about the resort and nearby attractions. Her dedication to making our stay memorable was truly impressive. Our mornings were filled with culinary delights thanks to the talented chefs, Michael and Linda. There are always 2 courses, and they typically feature some local produce and meats. Michael's breakfast creations on day one were a delightful surprise, with flavors that danced on our taste buds, especially the sausage! Linda, the breakfast chef on day two, continued the culinary excellence with a delectable breakfast that left us craving for more. The eggs with asparagus were amazing and I am super picky about my eggs. Rebecca, the waitress, deserves a special mention for her attentive and friendly service during our meals. She made dining a pleasure, always ready with a smile and quick to accommodate any request. Carla, the kitchen helper, and Cassidy, another member of the front desk and concierge team, contributed to the overall smooth operation of the inn. Their dedication behind the scenes did not go unnoticed, and it's evident that the entire staff at Lucille's is a well-oiled machine. Desserts are also served in the evening and the guests serve themselves and typically joined in the common areas, reading, chatting or playing one of the several board games available. It was delightful way to unwind. The highlight of our stay was the couples massage at the spa, a truly rejuvenating experience. The spa staff exhibited professionalism and skill, creating a tranquil atmosphere that allowed us to unwind and connect on a deeper level. Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa is a place where luxury meets nature, and where every staff member goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. The stunning mountain views, the impeccable service, and the attention to detail make this an oasis of relaxation and romance. We can't wait to return to this hidden gem in the mountains. Thank you, Lucille's, for making our stay unforgettable.
