My husband had scheduled a massage as a gift for that afternoon. This was probably the worst experience I have had. The therapist was poor in her execution, style and even manner. Before my treatment even started she mentioned an up charge for deep tissue. During my treatment she burped two times and her massage was far from relaxing her massage etiquette as a therapist was poor and as it was my birthday it sort of ruined my whole experience there, which was a shame. I did reach out to the B&B and provided my feedback, was told the spa manager (Tanya) would reach out but she never did. Heard back from the B&B manager and she told me the owner would give me a $50 dollar credit to my treatment the next time! We live almost two hours away so will not be planning on using that any time soon. To be honest after that experience I would not go back to the spa. The b&b was lovely the massage experience not so.

Linda, the breakfast chef on day two, continued the culinary excellence with a delectable breakfast that left us craving for more. The eggs with asparagus were amazing and I am super picky about my eggs. Rebecca, the waitress, deserves a special mention for her attentive and friendly service during our meals. She made dining a pleasure, always ready with a smile and quick to accommodate any request. Carla, the kitchen helper, and Cassidy, another member of the front desk and concierge team, contributed to the overall smooth operation of the inn. Desserts are also served in the evening and the guests serve themselves and typically joined in the common areas, reading, chatting or playing one of the several board games available. Staying here during our Oktoberfest stay made us feel like we were transported to Germany. The owners here are lovely and very helpful! Sleeping accommodations: we stayed in the Blue Room and loved it because it has a private entrance, a fireplace, and a private bath. We could even bear the fun German music roll up the hill through our bedroom window, but it wasn't too noisy that we couldn't fall asleep! There's also parking on the premises. Breakfast accommodations: the owners made us an elaborate breakfast each morning, full of coffee, Orange juice, yogurt, eggs, toast, homemade quiche, and the best: their homemade applesauce -- which tasted like fall! Activities: we really enjoyed walking the town. There aren't many authentic German stores, mostly souvenirs shops, but there's a great Christmas store and Cuckoo clock store worth visiting. We were recommended Bodensee restaurant for authentic German food and we were not disappointed! It was delicious. The Troll Tavern is also really nice for a spot right on Chattahoochee River. The owners also recommended some hiking trails, so we did that one of the days and really enjoyed it. Habersham Winery is just down the road and also a great little spot to taste some wines and take a glass with you as you explore a trail behind their winery that takes you to a lovely overlook spot. And of course during October and September, going to the Festhalle for beers, German music, huge pretzels, and fun is a must! Apline B&B is the perfect spot for a weekend getaway and even to enjoy all the Oktoberfest festivities.

There was a large group, which made it fun. Once we got to the lower part of the castle, we found our trek wasn't quite done yet, as we needed to hike through a field and some trails in order to get to the main part, so onward we went. By the time we arrived, we could've really used some beer or mead to parch our thirst, but we couldn't find any. All of the food and beverage vendors had really long lines, so we decided to hold off until we got back in town instead. I really enjoyed the variety of vendors selling their wares. There were so many handmade items and I found a lot to be very fairly priced. My favorite part was seeing the birds of prey in addition to just soaking in all the cool costumes people came up with. All in all, it was a fun experience but not something I'd want to do in summer when it's hot when there's so much walking involved.

You can't see the castle upon arrival, they take you in a bus up the hill so, I liked that it didn't ruin the surprise. They had little Tiaras for purchase and they give you a small prize when you complete the word puzzle they hand you. And event here would be cool. It would also be great if they had more drink or snacks for purchase but imagine that's in the works!! This was a costly project so, it will only get better!

I had the confirmation which they sent me and they made a mistake on their end and double booked the room, so we were displaced from having a room for Christmas. We called around and found the Castle Inn and spoke with Debbie who had a room available and saved our Christmas from being ruined. She gave us a discount for having to be stressed out by the other business which was sweet of her. She made us feel welcome and we loved our stay at her place. We loved having the balcony overlooking Main Street and seeing all the beautiful lights. We had the best stay at the castle inn and will definitely be back. Thank you for your hospitality, Debbie. I recommend everyone to stay at the Castle Inn while in Helen, GA.

When towels finally arrived there were only bath towels (no face towels or wash cloths), There were no comfortable chairs in the room, only two hard backless benches and small table. There was constant noise from open air bars/restaurants with live music and persistent loud motorcycle traffic. We initially prepaid for two nights, but checked out after only one night due to the intolerable conditions. They promised to "look into a refund" for the unused night, but have been totally unresponsive to phone calls and texts over several weeks. We finally filed a dispute with Mastercard to recoup the cost of the paid for, but unused, second night AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!

You can just still look at the grass and the green area in the scenes. Pimento cheese stuffed cornbread rolls - wasn't sure what to expect from these but they were actually pretty good. The spicy and the sweet of the butter helped it along very much but the cornbread was good too. The cornbread had a dollop of polenta inside of it so when you bite into it enough you'll get that extra cheese filling. Maple chili glazed Brussel sprouts - the Brussels sprouts are really good and they came on a huge plate full of them so it definitely was enough to share. You had nice balance with the pickled onions and the feta cheese to balance against the sweetness of the honey glaze so it was actually perfectly balanced to perfection and well charred. Hot chicken sandwich - the chicken sandwich was good but personally, to me, it wasn't a hot chicken sandwich at all. It was just a regular chicken sandwich because I didn't taste any spice on it. It was still good and very flavorful. It was really thick so it wasn't like they gave you the leanest cutlet ever. It was a good regular chicken sandwich. It came with fries and the fries didn't seem like they were enough French fries but they were really seasoned and super crispy. Collard greens - collard greens are pretty good and you can see the meat in them and because it was braised in wine sauce, that gave it extra flavor. If you're in this part of the state, you're going to have a lot of wine going around so that's not surprising but they were pretty good. Overall I had a good experience here and this was better than stopping off at an Applebee's for sure because it had good food and a good view.

The girl said she would put it up but I just did it since it was easy. There was also a small hole under the sink (2 sinks ... one in with toilet and shower... and the other outside the bathroom... perfect) in the shower room. Nothing came into the room. Be prepared that due to Covid it's best if you brought some Clorox wipes with you in case you want to wipe your room down. Also if you want a bag for b'fast you need to fill out the form at the front desk the night before. I felt safe in the hotel. The river was soothing eve in winter.

We arrive at this tourist trap, literally because you are a bit isolated. This Hilton property is old and dated and you are paying PREMIUM price for sure. The room was large but again, dated so bring friends to cut the cost down. I would give it a 2 to a 2.5 but it gets a 3 because the guy manning the reception desk was helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Did I mention its isolated thus the best game in town so far? A Homewood suits is being built so maybe this location will have to invest some money afterall to compete
