Honestly, the cutest place for a weekend getaway. Very romantic, and spacious! The owner is super sweet and accommodating! It is very walkable to down town :) Excited for my trip back !

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Great location. We parked and walked downtown daily! Terry, Darlene and Sheila exceeded our expectations! So friendly and make you feel right at home! The breakfast is something we looked forward to every day! You will only get homemade, fresh food! Terry treated us to homemade banana pancakes one day and the next pecan! Fresh fruit! CLEAN! We will be back! You don't want to miss this place! Thank y'all for everything!!! You made our vacation perfect!

My wife and I just returned home from a fun weekend escape to Helen. This was our first time at the Black Forrest B&B and we loved our stay! The staff was fantastic and very friendly when we checked in. The owner showed us around and walked us through the grounds to make sure we knew where everything was. We stayed in one of the themed cabins at the top of the property. The cabin was clean, spacious and in great working order. The bed was very comfortable and we felt right at home. Breakfast was prepared fresh every morning and featured some great local foods. This little bed and breakfast is within walking distance to most everything in Helen. We're already making plans to return. Thank you BFBB for a fantastic stay!

Dear black forest b&b I just wanted too let you know how happy my heart and and sou felt while I stayed with you. A review in my mind would not do justice so instead I write you a letter of thanks. Even though there were many towns to stop at along the way during my adventure I found myself in helen ga. I followed my nose to the smell of sweet fresh cut hay and virgin river water and ended up here. A refuge in the night like a warm and welcoming hug. The staff was amazng, in fact I wouldn't even call them staff more like family. The house even seemed to say hello as the 70yr old wooden floors creaked beneath my feet as I entered the house. My room was simple (and exotic with a hear shaped tub) but clean and charming. Something I would hope to find at a grandparents house. The bed itself was something from a dream. Soft and fluffy, and like a cloud. The fire place made my stay perfect as it let off a warm glow through the night that gave just enough light to see that there was no one there when I heard footsteps at 2am. In the morning the nice gentelman at the front made me a fresh cup of joe and even started chow early for me. As I sit on the porch listening to the lovely waterfall I find myslef not wanting to depart this calm and peafecul place. There's nothing better then wet moss, waterfalls, and coffee at 6am. Thank you for making my stay wonderful. I will be back. Sgt H US Army P.s. whom ever buys this b&b please take care of it. its a true diamond in the ruff. I never checked to see if they had wifii because I was to busy out wondering the town. The give military discounts so the overall price after the discount was good. Compared the the run of the mill hotels in this town this is the best.

Notice the beautiful painting on the wall, it really opens the room up !

The owners here are lovely and very helpful! Sleeping accommodations: we stayed in the Blue Room and loved it because it has a private entrance, a fireplace, and a private bath. We could even bear the fun German music roll up the hill through our bedroom window, but it wasn't too noisy that we couldn't fall asleep! There's also parking on the premises. Breakfast accommodations: the owners made us an elaborate breakfast each morning, full of coffee, Orange juice, yogurt, eggs, toast, homemade quiche, and the best: their homemade applesauce -- which tasted like fall! Activities: we really enjoyed walking the town. There aren't many authentic German stores, mostly souvenirs shops, but there's a great Christmas store and Cuckoo clock store worth visiting. We were recommended Bodensee restaurant for authentic German food and we were not disappointed! It was delicious. The Troll Tavern is also really nice for a spot right on Chattahoochee River. The owners also recommended some hiking trails, so we did that one of the days and really enjoyed it. Habersham Winery is just down the road and also a great little spot to taste some wines and take a glass with you as you explore a trail behind their winery that takes you to a lovely overlook spot. And of course during October and September, going to the Festhalle for beers, German music, huge pretzels, and fun is a must! Apline B&B is the perfect spot for a weekend getaway and even to enjoy all the Oktoberfest festivities.

My husband had scheduled a massage as a gift for that afternoon. This was probably the worst experience I have had. The therapist was poor in her execution, style and even manner. Before my treatment even started she mentioned an up charge for deep tissue. During my treatment she burped two times and her massage was far from relaxing her massage etiquette as a therapist was poor and as it was my birthday it sort of ruined my whole experience there, which was a shame. I did reach out to the B&B and provided my feedback, was told the spa manager (Tanya) would reach out but she never did. Heard back from the B&B manager and she told me the owner would give me a $50 dollar credit to my treatment the next time! We live almost two hours away so will not be planning on using that any time soon. To be honest after that experience I would not go back to the spa. The b&b was lovely the massage experience not so.

Title: A Blissful Retreat at Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa…read more Rating: (5/5) My partner and I recently enjoyed a two-day stay at Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, the impeccable service and breathtaking surroundings left us utterly enchanted. Firstly, I must commend Alex, the multi-talented front desk manager and concierge. Her warm welcome and exceptional hospitality set the tone for our entire stay. Alex not only ensured a smooth check-in but also provided us with valuable information about the resort and nearby attractions. Her dedication to making our stay memorable was truly impressive. Our mornings were filled with culinary delights thanks to the talented chefs, Michael and Linda. There are always 2 courses, and they typically feature some local produce and meats. Michael's breakfast creations on day one were a delightful surprise, with flavors that danced on our taste buds, especially the sausage! Linda, the breakfast chef on day two, continued the culinary excellence with a delectable breakfast that left us craving for more. The eggs with asparagus were amazing and I am super picky about my eggs. Rebecca, the waitress, deserves a special mention for her attentive and friendly service during our meals. She made dining a pleasure, always ready with a smile and quick to accommodate any request. Carla, the kitchen helper, and Cassidy, another member of the front desk and concierge team, contributed to the overall smooth operation of the inn. Their dedication behind the scenes did not go unnoticed, and it's evident that the entire staff at Lucille's is a well-oiled machine. Desserts are also served in the evening and the guests serve themselves and typically joined in the common areas, reading, chatting or playing one of the several board games available. It was delightful way to unwind. The highlight of our stay was the couples massage at the spa, a truly rejuvenating experience. The spa staff exhibited professionalism and skill, creating a tranquil atmosphere that allowed us to unwind and connect on a deeper level. Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa is a place where luxury meets nature, and where every staff member goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. The stunning mountain views, the impeccable service, and the attention to detail make this an oasis of relaxation and romance. We can't wait to return to this hidden gem in the mountains. Thank you, Lucille's, for making our stay unforgettable.

For those of us in full costume, the shuttle buses do add a level of complication we aren't used to but is definitely worth it If you like the Renaissance faire type events you need to go check this event out.

The floor in our room did not feel clean. Behind and under visible areas of furniture I could see debris, and one night there was a cockroach crawling up the wall in our room. There was also a dirty Q tip in the hallway, and overflowing garbage cans in the hallway, that stayed like that from the time we checked in (5pm ish) until the following morning... I surprised they didn't have any staff checking the floors to clean more frequently. - Breakfast staff was keeping an eye on refilling hot food, but I didn't see them cleaning tables or refilling the other items. Also the TV in the breakfast area was playing Fox News which I felt wasn't very family friendly considering this is a family oriented hotel. Not sure if I'd stay here again.

We cooked some of our meals at the cabin in the well-stocked kitchen. There is a full fridge, stove/oven and a full set of dishes, glasses, cooking utensils and silverware. It got cold enough that we made hot apple cider and lit the wood burning fireplace. It was also nice to have the hot tub to soak in after a day out on the town in the cold. The nearby town of Helen is an adorable Bavarian Alpine Village with great little shops and restaurants. We also drove to nearby Dahlonega to check out the shops and artists there.
