Just recently stayed here and had a wonderful time. The hotel staff was beyond amazing. Everyone was very accommodating for me. I am someone who struggles with many many allergies so having the staff support me and find ways to make things work is so special to me. The views are wonderful while you're there!

Talk about the perfect mountain getaway. They greet you with champagne, but honestly, it's the energy that sets the tone. Warm, kind, genuine hospitality from the moment you walk in front desk, dining room, spa, everyone. You immediately feel cared for. The room was spotless ! No dust in sight and very spacious. Double sinks (which we love) , and a cozy fireplace. It was exactly what you want when you escape to the North Georgia mountains. Even though the spa is in a small mountain town, it is not lacking at all. The providers are genuinely skilled and intentional in their care. I had both a massage and a facial. The food on-site was genuinely good and they have one of the only espresso martinis in town. Ask for Daniel if he's there... he said he makes the best one in Helen, and I believe him. Everything about our stay felt peaceful, welcoming, and intentional. Valhalla truly treats you like family ! Highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Helen

We are staying here for our Christmas! The staff are amazing and truly act like they love their jobs. Everyone is welcoming. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They really hit it out of the park.

We went down for the New Years Celebration. A great resort. Full Spa. Golf course. Great restaurants and the Sky Bar on the roof is great. You can order food at the bar. The also have a full service restaurant. The food is out standing. The service is super. From the bell man that moves your luggage to the park attendee. With the Penthouse Suit, you receive a bottle of Champagne. The New Years celebration was great. Live music and fireworks.. We will stay here again.

Let me share the 'highlights' of our experience to explain the 3 star rating. First, we arrived "early" for a 10AM spa appointment ahead of our hotel reservations and the staff were in a tizzy like it was unheard of guests arriving prior to the formal and official check-in time of 4pm. Surely this has happened before and there is sanctioned protocol for such events? Either way, we were not trying to check-in at this point - we had spa appointment! We made our way down into the basement, past the laundry room and caution wet floor signs and chokingly strong cleaning detergents, and into the spa area. Note, this is really a massage place and not so much a spa with any "add-ons" like a pool or sauna or relaxation or any of those things one might hope for when staying at a "resort spa". It's a massage in and out type of situation. After the most brutal massage of my life where I was left with shame and remorse, we did head back upstairs to inquire about our reservations. And this is the part that has me scratching my head - the concierge said she would call us when our room was ready, probably in the next two hours. And, she would even make sure our luggage was in the room waiting for us. How great, couldn't ask for anything more! We were planning to head into town anyways. So after 3 hours of enjoying Helen we head back to the hotel and still no phone call so we grab drinks at the bar, waiting. Until 4pm comes around and still no call, even though it was expressed we would be able to check-in prior to the official time. So we check with the *new* concierge lady upon shift change, and wow, our room is actually ready! So weird that we never got a phone call and our luggage most def was not in the room. Just odd to state all these things like a top tier resort but then not follow through. It left us feeling weird. Plus, it felt very cringe that everything in the room was for sale, tray of snacks and CBD gummies, just charge it to the room! Want a beverage, charge it to the room! Like this painting hanging on the wall, $200 and I'm sure you could simply charge it to the room! Special shoutout to our bartender in the Sky Bar! Super friendly and made up for some of the other idiosyncrasies with the rest of the staff we experienced during our stay. Also, now we're converted Nebraska volleyball fans!

Exceed our expectations!!! Relaxing! Absolutely stunning area, great rooms, and the service was so personal and refreshing. Got the best massage ever from LiAnna! We only went into downtown Helen once, as we enjoyed the resort and local wineries instead! Next time, we plan to add hiking so will add days to the stay. Chapel is brand new, and so lovely and open for guests. Pool was great, Food wonderful. All in all. 5+ out of 5 from us.

We drove up at the last minute to look at fall leaves and needed a place to stay. We were not looking for anything extravagant. Every place was booked. We called the resort and Tammy was awesome. She had one penthouse suite left! Welcoming champagne and all the amenities you could ask for. The most comfortable beds awesome shower. Drinks and food at the resort are great!! The best part was when we opened the drapes in the am and saw the most Beautiful color palette we were searching for in our backyard!! Coffee on the terrace=perfect. We definitely will be back!! Thanks again

Absolutely wonderful stay there celebrating our 10th anniversary. Beautiful view, wonderful staff, and delicious room service. Had a couples massage and we were in heaven. Definitely want to return!

The very nice view out the penthouse with the ugly roof edited out of the picture:)

We stayed 2 nights in their penthouse (room 303), while up in the area again; this time for a wedding in Cleveland GA. The room was nice and spacious, and the staff really was excellent all around. Everyone exceptionally polite and helpful. Definitely the best place to stay in the area - they brought some classy to town with this one. We recommend it as the only place to stay in Helen. Just one thing they need to fix - that horrid rooftop that is much of the view out the penthouse balcony. They really feature local artists in the hotel and gift shop, and there are many murals painted around downtown Helen - get some local artists to paint this and make it a prettier part of that great view! Even a painting of the tops of trees would be a welcome change. If you don't want to actually paint it, but a huge painted tarp down. Worth the investment.

Got a good deal to stay here for Debs birthday weekend trip. First off the staff is so friendly! From the valets to the bartenders they were all professional and nice. We were well taken care of. Great dining and bar choices with a bar right down the hallway from our room with spectacular views! They will take you into Helen but they say service stops I think around 7pm but they will come and get you if it is later. We were luck and go an uber so we were fine. It is walkable if you like hills! We are very much looking forward to coming back and staying.

My husband had scheduled a massage as a gift for that afternoon. This was probably the worst experience I have had. The therapist was poor in her execution, style and even manner. Before my treatment even started she mentioned an up charge for deep tissue. During my treatment she burped two times and her massage was far from relaxing her massage etiquette as a therapist was poor and as it was my birthday it sort of ruined my whole experience there, which was a shame. I did reach out to the B&B and provided my feedback, was told the spa manager (Tanya) would reach out but she never did. Heard back from the B&B manager and she told me the owner would give me a $50 dollar credit to my treatment the next time! We live almost two hours away so will not be planning on using that any time soon. To be honest after that experience I would not go back to the spa. The b&b was lovely the massage experience not so.

Title: A Blissful Retreat at Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa…read more Rating: (5/5) My partner and I recently enjoyed a two-day stay at Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, the impeccable service and breathtaking surroundings left us utterly enchanted. Firstly, I must commend Alex, the multi-talented front desk manager and concierge. Her warm welcome and exceptional hospitality set the tone for our entire stay. Alex not only ensured a smooth check-in but also provided us with valuable information about the resort and nearby attractions. Her dedication to making our stay memorable was truly impressive. Our mornings were filled with culinary delights thanks to the talented chefs, Michael and Linda. There are always 2 courses, and they typically feature some local produce and meats. Michael's breakfast creations on day one were a delightful surprise, with flavors that danced on our taste buds, especially the sausage! Linda, the breakfast chef on day two, continued the culinary excellence with a delectable breakfast that left us craving for more. The eggs with asparagus were amazing and I am super picky about my eggs. Rebecca, the waitress, deserves a special mention for her attentive and friendly service during our meals. She made dining a pleasure, always ready with a smile and quick to accommodate any request. Carla, the kitchen helper, and Cassidy, another member of the front desk and concierge team, contributed to the overall smooth operation of the inn. Their dedication behind the scenes did not go unnoticed, and it's evident that the entire staff at Lucille's is a well-oiled machine. Desserts are also served in the evening and the guests serve themselves and typically joined in the common areas, reading, chatting or playing one of the several board games available. It was delightful way to unwind. The highlight of our stay was the couples massage at the spa, a truly rejuvenating experience. The spa staff exhibited professionalism and skill, creating a tranquil atmosphere that allowed us to unwind and connect on a deeper level. Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa is a place where luxury meets nature, and where every staff member goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. The stunning mountain views, the impeccable service, and the attention to detail make this an oasis of relaxation and romance. We can't wait to return to this hidden gem in the mountains. Thank you, Lucille's, for making our stay unforgettable.

We reached the hotel around 10pm. Noticed that almost all stores and restaurants close early in Helen. But the check in staff was very helpful. She gave us an area map and list of things we could do. Also suggested a pizza place...which was the only place open at that time and would deliver. Our room was neat and clean. The hotel had complimentary breakfast "covid style". Meaning, you pick the items that you want from what they have available. They had quite a few selections. Cereal, juice, fruit, yogurt, nutri bar and cinnamon rolls. In hot breakfast they did not have anything vegetarian. They did have plain biscuits though. You tell the staff (who is wearing mask and gloves) what you want and she makes a tray for you. You can either eat in the dining area or take it to your room. The hotel seemed to follow the CDC guidelines for Covid. They do not enter your room for cleaning everyday (how it used to be before covid). If you need anything you just call the front desk and they bring it to you. Plus every day when we came back to the hotel in the evening...they left a care package with a towel, napkin, soap, toilet paper, etc. We didnt really had to ask for anything. The staff was helpful. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

We did self check in upon arrival, because there is no guard on the weekends. That was simple to do. We just had to remember to go to the lobby on Monday morning to complete the check in and out a card on file for incidentals. The drive up to the condos is steep and can be a bit scary at night. It is a one way street, so be mindful of the signage. Our unit was in the Alpina area, and in my opinion, it looked the best and had the best views, because it was the highest point and overlooked the town of Helen. We had an open garage area under the unit, that was assigned. This was nice in case it was raining. We were on the second floor walk up. FYI: there is a washing machine & dryer on the first floor (above the garage), but no iron or ironing board. Our unit was a 2 bedroom unit. The furniture was rustic and a bit dated, but it gave you that mountain cabin feel. We had a balcony to sit out on and enjoy the view. When I walked into the kitchen, there was a huge dead bug in the center of the floor, which was a huge turn off. Luckily, I didn't encounter anymore bugs the rest of our trip. The bedroom downstairs had two twin beds and a bathroom next to it. Upstairs had a king sized bed with an indoor whirlpool right next to it and a separate shower & toilet area. The tv upstairs was a dated box type model, but the one in the living room was a smart tv. From up here, you could see cobwebs on the windows overlooking the town. I know they're high up, but it the unit had been properly cleaned, they could have used a Swiffer to make it look like they tried. There was also a crack in the ceiling upstairs a little too close to the balcony for my liking, as well as a leak near the front door, which we discovered when it rained on day 3 of our stay. We went exploring and discovered that the pool was closed for maintenance. This would have been nice to have known before arriving, so I could have prepared my son for the disappointment. The clubhouse was rinky dinky, and the pool table was missing some of the balls. The slides were also closed and abandoned for some time, as they have accumulated grime over time. The only staff member we encountered was at check in and she was super nice and friendly. The resort was quiet overall and we had no problems during our stay. I just wish we had known about certain things prior to arrival. I'm on the fence about staying here again. It wasn't horrible, but wasn't fantastic either.

This was a horrible experience…read more I booked Blue Creek through Airbnb on January 29th. They approved my application same day. On Airbnb I stated that I was a student booking for a senior trip and there would be two chaperones. I did not see a minimum age booking requirement on Airbnb when booking so I booked. When I booked on Airbnb they asked for my id and I sent that in as I booked. Again, they approved same day. My trip was booked for March 13th-March 17th. On March 5th I got an email from Airbnb that they cancelled my reservation. No email from them as to why. I then called there office. The lady on the phone told me I had to be 29 years old to book. She then asked if I had any 29 years olds staying with us, because this was a school sponsored trip we did. She told me I could have one of them book it and it would be a problem. I had to them have one of the chaperones book on their website, because Airbnb blocked them from booking another person that weekend because they cancelled us so close to our date. We booked a different cabin on their website that we thought was nicer. Our chaperone booked this cabin on March 5th. On March 7th we got an email that our reservation was canceled and if we tried to book again they would contact the authorities. I was severely thrown off and confused as to what the issue was. I called them and no one answered. I left a voicemail telling them I was confused as to what happened and asking them to call me back. I then got a text message that was very passive aggressive and unprofessional. They also charged us a $100 cancellation fee when they cancelled on us! I then called them today March 10th, and spoke with the property manager, asking what happened and asking for the fee back. The guy on the phone was rude and unprofessional. He told us that the majority of people staying in the cabin needed to be over 29. (No where on their website does it say that). He then said he didn't want kids "throwing parties" at his multi million dollar properties. No parties were going to be thrown. It was a school sponsored trip with chaperones staying in the house with us. He did not care what we had to say and was very rude and unprofessional. Overall, this experience was horrible. The customer service was horrendous and their way of handling things was disgusting. We ended up getting our cancellation fee back as well as full refunds. Do not book this company they do not care!!
