27 On Park is a dreamy boutique inn right in the Dahlonega square. My girlfriends and I stayed here overnight over a month ago and couldn't be happier with our stay. Our one regret is not booking another night. Location is convenient to everything - the restaurants, the shops, and the wineries. Most wineries are only 10-15 minutes away from the inn. We stayed in The Madison. This suite sleeps up to four guests and offers two queen beds, spacious living room with wet bar, and flat screen TVs. We loved how the living room is completely separate from the bedroom. Even the AC units are separate. We were able to control the room temperatures to our liking and close the door in between. We all slept comfortably. Due to Covid, check in and check out are all done by phone and went smoothly. The room was left open for us with the keys and instructions right by the door. Continental breakfast is available at their event space. Though we didn't indulge, it looked pretty fresh and yummy. The event space is beautiful and perfect for more intimate weddings and occasions. We had a wonderful stay at 27 On Park and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dahlonega! read more

We're frequent visitors to Dalhonega and have stayed in several places in the area. This turned out to be our favorite. It's a quaint little building right off the square, so you can easily walk everywhere. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The rooms are cozy and private. We were upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi tub, a very nice addition to the stay. The rate was in line with more conventional hotels in the area but with a whole lot more character. They're not big so they fill up quickly so plan as far in advance as you can. read more

Very rude to guests. No apology and zero empathy for an elderly woman falling. Instead they chose to blame guests and call them liars, although there was photo proof and an ambulance involved. I would not recommend staying here. read more

This little place was an awesome place to stay for a wedding weekend in Dahlonega! Now it's a you can't judge a book by the cover kind of place as the curb appeal isn't there, but that's where the complaints end. The staff was super friendly and helpful, we had a room with a huge kind bed and a pullout oversized seat for a second bed. Three of us were more than comfortable. The antique finishes and the large bathroom complete the rooms be make for a very comfortable stay. The front desk clerk walked us up the stairs, showed us all the gadgets tv, coffee, etc, then told us where to get a bottle of wine and live music that night. It's located so that anyone can walk around this quaint little mining town. It's literally half a block off the old town square where everything happens in that neck of the woods. Everyone, I do mean everyone was super friendly and made sure comfort and enjoyment was had by all of us since the wedding party rented every room in the hotel! We stayed here for a birthday weekend to celebrate my sister in law. The two bedroom suite was perfect, affordable and had everything we needed; the shower and toilet are in separate spaces which is helpful with 4 adults in a room. The room had everything we needed and was very clean. Customer service was awesome, they are not always on site but very responsive when accidently locked ourselves out. The location of this hotel could not be anymore perfect as you are literally on the corner of the square and can walk 250-800 feet to anything you need; coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner, shopping, mead and wine tastings, trivia events, and concerts. This hotel and the square in Dahlonega, and all the nearby wineries are idyllic and we def will be back. read more

I was really upset when I walked into the room and not only was it tiny, there was a sliding glass door to the bathroom that was see-through. The wall to the bathroom also stopped at the top like a dressing room. Zero privacy and really awkward for a couple. I called the number since there was no office and after not answering for awhile, they finally picked up. They said they were booked and there was nothing they could do and if I wanted to cancel, I'd get $78 of the $181 fee back (for ONE night). We decided to make the best of it and hung a blanket over the glass for when one of us was sitting on the toilet. Such a weird experience for that price point. read more

We have stayed at this hotel several times with no issues...lovely check-in people, great room that is spacious and clean. All of that remained the same on this trip but we did not realize until this visit how poor the insulation is between rooms....we had a snorer next door and did not sleep most of night it was so loud! For $150 a night room (in January), this is not acceptable, will not stay here again. read more

Do not stay here. I'm just trying to help you in advance. I could forgive the construction that they didn't warn me about out of common courtesy, that's fine... but they just don't care. I cannot believe the just nonchalant attitude that I just received. I went in there to tell them about the issues I had to stay because I was going to post this and want to give them proper chance... they don't care. The warning I found in policies about how the Internet is not their fault has probably been put there because so many people complain, and they don't care enough to get it fixed. ("What kind of computer did you use?" Um, three types! Try trusting your customer's intelligence and lose the excuses.) I promise you I completely believe they'd do that. Beyond that... The threshold covers will give your feet splinters. We stayed in the biggest room and ended up feeling like we have been gypped. The balcony they speak of is actually just a partial porch along the back. You will not have access to this unless you get one of the rooms that have their outer door along it. The Georgian does not. You're paying a lot of money just to have a wall between the two beds. Also, their gate code system is just for show. I just can't believe how uncaring they seemed when I went to speak with then. The male (who did not identify himself when I asked for a manager- he just stared at me) started working on his computer while I was talking. I couldn't even have their attention when I walked down. The one time they tried to help me, the girl asked me if I tried the simplest things, like "Did you retry the password?" No, I gave up after once and panicked (sarcasm, people). The floors between rooms is paper thin and old. They leave the office and hotel without supervision after 5pm. There was no one there to get us checked in. That should have been my warning. I promise it's not worth your money. There were several other interactions and observations that I don't have room for here, so just trust me. They aren't professional and don't care so don't give them your money. read more

Great location. Coffee and a refrigerator were included. Unfortunately, the quality of the room did not reflect the price. There was visible mold in the AC unit and the toilet paper holder was rusty. The shower sprayed water all over the floor and the TV was old with a fuzzy picture. Disappointing given the price of the room. read more

Park Place Hotel .. not so friendly to the LGBT guests. Maids (ironically, a gaggle of white guys) REFUSED to touch the beds and just sat outside on the porch, cackling and smirking. I get it, it's the South, and Georgia doesn't outlaw discrimination against gays, but seriously: hotels are for people from out of town, and people from out of town might be different from you, so doesn't it stand to reason that you should be courteous and respectful toward people who aren't the same as yourself, to gt thrr bssnsss??? read more

Go elsewhere! Rooms for wedding family & guests not ready--"be ready soon" meant hours or not at all. Take binoculars to see tiny TV; an electrical degree needed to operate heat; room coffee makers don't work at all, no phones, no one on duty in office, dial for frig taken off so you can't control temp (guess we weren't adult enough), opening door to bathroom bangs into toilet. Pretty town, good location but have to use public parking lot, 2nd floor rooms meant climbing stairs no elevator. read more

We had our wedding at Montaluce in March and had a room block here for our guests. I can't say enough great things about the staff that works here! For the on spot location I give this hotel a 4 out of 5. The Savannah room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom vanity cabinet needs refinishing, cleaning of area rug, and most definitely all hotel room doors are battered and need dark paint! Overall a nice hotel which needs moderate tweaking . We made a reservation for this place from a Pet -friendly webpage, submitted all credit card information, even submitted as requested, a note to the hotel confirming we had two dogs. However, when we arrived we were informed they do not allow pets. That's life, agreed. But to charge us the full penalty ( total price of one night's stay, no exceptions) even under these circumstances, seemed extreme, no matter who would be considered blameworthy. We ended up paying for two hotel rooms that night. FYI, customer service. Can't speak to anything else since we couldn't stay. read more

My room was surprisingly small, as well as the TV. It smelled so much of bleach it caused my eyes to water! You also have to park across the street down the block a little so kind of a bummer if you've got a lot of luggage. We were originally supposed to stay at a B&B in Clermont, but after getting last minute cancelled on after an 8 hour drive at 8:30 that night, we ended up sitting at the restaurant Piazza trying to figure out where to go from there. The servers (who were all super friendly and helpful) suggested the Park Place Hotel, and even ran across the street to grab the manager, Creston, who was one of their regulars. He was really nice and sympathetic to our story and offered us an amazing deal on his last room. He even waited for us to finish our meal and walked us to our room. The room itself had a king size bed and a really big walk-in/roll-in shower, so it was perfect for unwinding after our stressful day. The next morning, Creston pointed us to a good breakfast place and recommended a few other things for us to check out. Overall, our experience here was a trip saver. I was really upset after being cancelled on, but thanks to the kindness of everyone we met in Dahlonega, the remainder of our trip was all uphill. read more

we booked the largest suite available at 27 on park and within one hour of arriving we found out our 2-year-old daughter got very sick and we had to leave and go home. My husband went and spoke to the management about potentially not charging us the entire price but giving us some type of discount. The staff was very nice and said they would try. They then informed us they could not do anything at all. Upon arriving home I got an email from the management asking how our stay was. I again informed them of our situation. They never even responded. I understand they are a business, and I myself own a small business, but this was just unacceptable. Not only did they not have any compassion or accommodate us in any way, they then ignored our response to their email. I will never stay here nor will I ever recommend this hotel. The only reason they got 2 stars was because the location was very close to the square and the staff member who checked us in was very kind. read more

I ALMOST loved this place. It's really convenient (about 10 steps off the square) and the rooms are decorated well and have plenty of space. We stayed in Number 8, the Sorrento Room. In the center of the upstairs facing the square. We loved sitting on the provided patio chairs and seeing the Christmas lights coming on. The downside- even though we were told on the phone that we could check in at 8 am, no one was at the office until 10 and then we couldn't check in until 11. No bellhops here! The clerk showed us to our room but didn't even offer help with our bags. He was very thorough about showing us the room though. After checking in, my boyfriend went to shower and discovered the shower didn't drain. But, that was quickly fixed with a call to the office. (Note, the office is NOT open 24/7 so take care of any issues during business hours.) It was little things that kept us from loving the room. For instance, the remote didn't have the battery cover so the batteries were held in with blue painters tape. And the sink in the bathroom is awful! It's really pretty and contemporary but also really impractical. Lastly, our keys didn't work on our front door. Only on the bedroom door (to the patio). That wasn't a big deal, but there was something disappointing about entering and exiting via the bedroom when we paid for a 2 room suite. Oh, and buy some drinks to keep in the room. They provide 2 small bottles of water (Which is very nice) but after tasting wine all day we had dry mouth and the coke machine doesn't work. read more

This was my first time in Dahlonega and staying at Park Place Hotel. I didn't know exactly what to expect, but must say things couldn't have gone better! Right when I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the manager who had accommodations ready on point. I mentioned that I was in a hurry because I was running behind due to Atlanta traffic (shocker!) and he immediately helped expedite the process, making for a smooth and easy check-in. The inside of my room was amazing, equipped with what I would call a 5 person Jacuzzi, a comfortable King bed and an electric fireplace. I was able to see some of the other rooms from my wedding party - and each one had their own personality and was well decorated with their own personality. This property is located in the heart of downtown so imagine my excitement that I was able to walk everywhere, especially after an 8 hour drive. The hotel takes great care of their guests and I would recommend Park Place Hotel to anyone and everywhere who is traveling to the Dahlonega hills. read more
