I loved the windows looking out across the mountain. Not sure we have ever had such a beautiful view anywhere else. We enjoyed getting up in the morning and sitting in the hot tub to watch the sunrise over the mountain. It was so nice to have the hot tub right off the bedroom. The cabin had every thing we needed...charm, coziness, cookware, coffee maker, beautiful view, hot tub, jacuzzi. We could tell that a lot of thought was put into this place. We would definitely go back! We were a a short drive away from Clarkesville which had nice food, and of course we loved visiting the Old Sautee store, and coffee place across the road. For us, this was a great place to wind down, reconnect, and enjoy the quiet. We had no planned agenda except to escape the tyranny of the urgent and to enjoy our marriage. Thank you Laura for making this possible for us.

The ammenties here are nothing less than outstanding with beautifully maintained hiking trails and meticulous maintained common areas. We spent a week in the area and only sampled a small part of what's offer here but it definitely checks all the boxes for a return trip. The staff here was so gracious and was quick to answer all our questions and provided some helpful tips to make our visit enjoyable and was eager to share the history of the area. The only items I would add would be a small book shelf or another small table, because we needed another surface to put our things on. I would also add a flashlight to use when you go to the comfort stations. Our tent had a lantern, but it did not work. We also forgot to bring trash bags, and our tent only had one small one, but the visitor's center had some we could buy. The beds sleep great and the way the tent zips up with a double layer really keeps the bugs out! There is a grill and picnic table outside for meals and the two hammocks are perfect to relax in. The mini fridge held a lot of our perishable items and even had a medium sized freezer we used. The Keurig coffee maker was my favorite thing the tent had, because there is nothing like having a good cup of coffee each morning! They also provided a few k-cups as well. Timberline Glamping also offers A LOT of add on options to make your stay as personalized & stress free as possible. Whether you want a s'mores kit or a propane grill, they can have it waiting for you at your site. You can't get more convenient than that! The AC unit in our tent was very powerful. We were there in July and it was hot, and our AC unit kept our tent cool the entire duration of the trip. The tent has plenty of outlets inside of it, so you can charge your devices. Unicoi state park was a great location, because we were able to have fun at the beach, explore the walking trails, experience the air rifle class, and even rent an aqua cycle to use on the lake. The communication from Timberline Glamping is top notch. From the time you make your reservation until the check in, they email you updates and reminders along the way. I loved our stay at this location and I can't wait to stay at their other locations!

We first booked a cabin (woodland waltz) with this company in 2014, and had such a great experience…read morethat we knew we'd book with them again the next time we returned to Georgia. So, fast forward to January 2018, we booked a stay at the Buckhead lodge. When we arrived at the cabin, we found the basement's carpet(where the pool table is) was soaked and there was no running water. Turns out a pipe had burst between the time housekeeping was there and our arrival, apparently due to the freezing temperatures. So, we called the office and Sherry was very helpful and apologetic (although it's obviously not their fault) and Jim (the owner) came rushing over to see if it was something he could fix immediately. The repair would need to wait for the following day, so they upgraded us to one of their luxury cabins (the River Haus), which was GORGEOUS. Now, to further demonstrate just how amazing their customer service is, when we arrived at the River Haus there was a delicious Chicken Pot Pie from Betty's waiting for us in the oven (I had, in passing, mentioned to the office that we had driven 13 hours with several small children to get there and were starving)--this was SUCH a thoughtful gesture, that we were actually in shock. Anyway, they offered us the luxury cabin for the remainder of our stay but we chose to go back to Buckhead once the pipe was fixed because we really wanted that gorgeous Mountain View and some wilderness and solitude. There were no other issues with the pipes. Regarding cleanliness, both times we've stayed the cabins have been very clean. No complaints. Don't think twice and just book with Georgia Mountain Rentals!
