Food was fantastic. We had a large party and everyone thought the food and service was great. We had a bit of a wait (10 people) but there was group of 70 people in the private room. So it was understandable. The food was definitely worth the wait. The seafood Mac and cheese, key lime shrimp and chicken, stuffed flounder, steamer pots (crab, shrimp, etc.) were all great. The gator tail bites were a great choice for appetizer, the calamari however leaves a little to be desired (way too much breading). Let me start off by saying this restaurant is in a very beautiful location right off the water and nice decor. The food is a different story. We got the calamari for an appetizer and it was raw... I love calamari, every restaurant I go to and it's on the menu I order it, this was the worst one I've had. The batter was falling off and you could see the octopus legs through the batter. On top of it the server was nice but we literally barely see our server the service was super slow with mediocre food. The entrée I ordered was shrimp Po Boy with fries this was actually pretty good I feel like they could made the shrimp more a star in the po boy rather than the sauce but over all pretty good. My boyfriend got the hush puppies and black grouper with scallops and shrimp which he over all liked but the plating size wasn't big enough. Through out this I believe we saw our server twice. Like if the food is gonna be mediocre atleast have the service part down. The place wasn't busy enough to barely see the server. Overall I give this place a C- due to my one of my favorite appetizers being gross basically and the service that's near the same level as if not lower than fast food services. If you want a great meal I would over all recommend another place like red lobster that is atleast consistent and is there to service you. read more

He has tried it in many other restaurants and insists this is the best because 1) the seasonings, 2) the crab is juicy and plump 3) lots of shrimp. The other dish that we love is the fish dip with homemade potato chips. Their fish and chips is made with flounder, and it is delicious and with a large serving of fish. We arrived 2 pm on Sunday and asked for umbrella covered seating. The shade was devine and the breeze delicious. Cocktails included a pina colada (yeah, mainstream), Tomoka Punch and a Dixie Runner Peach Old Fashioned and were delightfully strong. Our waitress was attentive and took good care of us. We had a family member recommend eating here and to try the fried shrimp. So we did exactly that plus the fried catfish. The breading was amazing and surprisngly not greasy at all. The fries were from skinned potatoes I ate some and threw the rest the the hungry catfish waiting at the pier. The coleslaw was much better than many places we've eaten ate in and around Daytona. Went here for a Sunday night dinner with my grandparents and it was a lovely time. We sat down quickly, the server was nice and attentive but not up your arse. I was looking for something lighter so I had their grilled chicken with mango salsa. Was two perfectly cooked chicken breasts and the salsa was legit fresh made. Very unique and flavorful. One kid had a Po Boy sandwich with fried chicken. Perfect meal for a kid off of the adult menu. The other kid had their huge hot dog with melted cheese on it. The outside seating is beautiful and scenic. The fried onion strings is an appetizer that easily satisfies 6 people, so ask for a small order for a party of 2 or 5.
