Fair enough, I guess, but I also couldn't see how he chose his route (which seemed out of the way - I've driven to the airport many times and would never take that route). When we got to my house, the charge was higher than I've ever paid for a cab home from the airport, and I take them with some frequency. They've waited through my flight being delayed, waiting forever for my bags and even when I had accidentally slept through my alarms and almost missed my flight. All of their drivers have lived amazing lives with so many stories to show for it. They always have a smile to greet you with and recommendations for the best food around town! Their rates are more than fair and I have never had any trouble getting ahold of them. The gentlemen we had were friendly and took care of all of our luggage. The company has great communication. We were scheduled to be picked up at 4:45am but at around 9pm the night before I started getting nervous that we should leave a few minutes earlier, so I sent them an email asking if we could leave at 4:30am instead, really not expecting anyone to respond in time. They actually emailed me back within 10 minutes and confirmed the earlier pick-up time. Then, our return flight landed at PDX (an unheard of!) 40 minutes early. As soon as we touched down I texted the number to see if there would be any way someone could come pick us up for 40 minutes earlier than planned, again not necessarily expecting a response - especially since it was close to midnight. However, they texted me back instantly that my driver would be in touch with me soon, and sure enough our driver texted me within a few minutes. By the time we grabbed our suitcases off of the conveyor and walked a few minutes to the curb, our driver was already there and waiting despite us being 40 minutes early - and, again, it was close to midnight on a Wednesday. We are customers for life!

However this morning I called for a pick up from my job at 3:12am, the guy seemed confused and distracted but said they would have a driver there in 15-25 min. So I waited. By 3:55am they still had not gotten there. So I called again and asked what the delay was and the guy asked if I was sure I called elite and not sunshine. He had not even sent a driver out and had forgotten that he even spoke to me! I waited another 10-15 min before finally getting a ride home with a co-worker. I just don't know if I can ever trust elite again.

When I asked why it was so high, they said it was the minimum fare. I'll just stick with the other guys, better service, better price. Even if I occasionally have to wait a couple minute longer.

I…read moreneeded a ride at a specific time, and yellow cabs didn't appear to have a high reliability rate. Tried these guys, said pick up in 45mins at a flat rate. Driver arrived a few minutes early. Driver was a personable and friendly fella, we seemed to share similar opinions. So it was a pretty good ride, uneventful and timely, which I needed. Recommend.
