    Dinning room!

When we lived in the area, this was one of my daughter's favorite places. Mine too! It is a very cool place promoting its Tex-Mex theme. Full bar with a very nice staff. I had an absolutely incredible fajita steak burrito. It was served with guacamole, sour crème, lettuce and chopped tomato. I also ordered a street corn and shared it with my daughter. Don't miss the street corn--it is amazing!

Happy hour prices are decent. They have a huge outdoor area with games and is very family friendly. I will say the bar area gets very crowded during the happy hour times and so the attention of the wait staff is stretched very thin. The food is basic at best. the steak tacos were dry, the shrimp was just ok but for the price I wasn't expecting much. I will say the drinks were fantastic! Made the right way, not too sweet and not too strong. I would go back for the drinks alone. The ambiance really makes you want to keep coming back for more and the convenience of the location for me will probably get me to keep coming back!

Service great. Chicken street tacos with corn tortilla was very dry and felt a little flavorless. Other than that place is very nice. Chips and salsa is great but a little spicy!

Large Mexican themed venue with indoor & outdoor seating, as well as a separate bar area. Metered street parking when you can find an available spot. Metered lot nearby, & public garages nearby as well. Friendly staff, fair paced service. Typical Mexican themed interior. I've been here a time or two before, was not a fan of the food, but today was actually good. Had the sliders, one of each, & it was enjoyable. Had a lot of their margaritas, they were very good. This review is simple, cause I went there for another purpose, & ended up snapping 3 quick photos out of habit. Grades: Sliders: B+ Margaritas: A+

I don't even really feel like I need to be another force bringing down this already accurately low rating at River and Rail, but I can't help myself. I hate complaining about wait staff, but sadly our waitress didn't write anything down and gave my friend flour tortillas after saying she was allergic and requested corn. They replaced it when we pointed it out. It took me after that to realize I got bbq boneless "wings" when I asked for buffalo. Which are clearly the CHEAPEST POSSIBLE chunks of chicken a restaurant could get. It looks like prison food. I also asked for an Arnold Palmer and my first iteration was carbonated because the "lemonade button has been Sprite for a month" ??? Then I got just an iced tea. Bitter. Disgusting. Clearly letting the bags steep in there all day without any care for doing it the right way. Avocado pictured hit the table, the person in the kitchen who thought that was okay to send out wouldn't eat that themselves, would they? Rice was old and dry. Carrots weirdly floppy. We told the manager everything and they didn't charge us anything. Duh. Stay away.

Decent Mexican-American food, really fun atmosphere and decor that transports you to Mexico, solid service and reasonable prices. I agree with another yelper, this is a chain-like restaurant that's better than Chili's. Fun decor, good service and a broad menu make it easy for people to get something they'll like. Perfect for groups and kids. Free parking for patrons in the back. Outdoor seating and really nice fire pit atmosphere outside. My dad loves a bargain and loved this place. They have beer on top and a nice drink menu.

Let me just say up front... this place is a feast for the eyes!! From the door, the decor pops and is vibrant, colorful, energetic and so celebrative. The ambience is so stimulating to look at in every direction... great job with that! The hosting staff is friendly, welcoming, and very attentive. And the food did not disappoint. Equally vibrant and pleasant to the eyes in plating... every dish we had was tasty and size-able. I never take home food... but this time simply couldn't finish my plate. It was great... from the chips and salsa to start, to the last bite... we enjoyed a great family dinner tonight. And the bill didn't hurt either... lol. We'll be back!!

    Shrimp fajita

I got the shrimp fajita. It's sitting on top of a mound of onions and peppers. The shrimps were not hot at all. The margarita was pretty good. Our table was sticky.

    Enchilada?

This place is effing gross. I gagged at first taste of my meal. To start, I was brought out chips with what they called salsa, but it was straight up marina sauce mixed with a little bit of hot sauce. Then I ordered the enchiladas de mole and got what tasted like boiled chicken wrapped in a wet paper towel. No seasoning or flavor at all. Instead of cheese on top, there were little sad cubes of tofu- false advertising and cheap service at its finest. The mole sauce was basically brown water, and the plain yellow bagged rice had more flavor than my entire plate. Honestly I wouldnt feed this sh*t to my dog and this place needs to be shut down. Nasty nasty nasty.

I've given this place multiple chances because it's local, but after getting sick from my last visit, I won't be coming back.

Great ambience, but unfortunately, food and staff take too long. Also, too many instances of snotty staff. Food is ok.

Typical "Mexican" restaurant interior with both high top seating & standard table seating. Staff were friendly and efficient, drinks were nice a strong. Food was good and this place could definitely be a local spot to go to on a whim. We had Quesadillas de Birria, Volcano Burrito-which they cut up and classify it as "sushi burritos," and Margaritas. It is important to note that the complimentary chips and salsa were good. Everything was good and I would suggest if someone was asking for something in the area, albeit I would run back here on a normal day. Nothing against the venue, please do not think that, it's just not my overall preferred type of food. The vibe was lively and welcoming, I loved the art they had inside. The staff was attentive and friendly, and the food and drinks did not disappoint. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to.

For some of us, it might simply call for going out and getting tacos or even just preparing our own. Situated in the middle of a residential neighborhood in Roselle Park, this establishment is set inside a small corner suburban home where some of my colleagues decided on takeout, which came highly recommended. Upon arrival at Taqueria La Casita, or "The Little House Taqueria," we were confronted outside by the neon signage reading "Tacos Open" and Mexican flags, among other pieces of colorful decor. Greeted by the staff inside an un-air-conditioned cozy dining room decked out in its Mexican splendor with 4 tables. In the back, a colorful menu with nearly a dozen different types of tacos and an array of other dishes written by hand. We opted for individual orders containing 4 tacos with Shrimp, Chicken, Steak, and Pork. While waiting, we couldn't help but notice the trompo--the spinning, shawarma-adjacent log of marinated pork used for Al Pastor, which translates to "in the style of the shepherd." Originating in Puebla, this came at the hands of Lebanese immigrants during the 1930s. The tortilla itself was freshly made, of the corn variety. They were stuffed to the brim with meat prepared in front of us and served with cucumbers and lime. Fresh condiments of diced onion, cilantro, and avocado were separated in their own container, and all were needed. Various sauces accompanied in small containers, such as green, which was jalapeño-based; the darker red salsa was smoky from dried and smoked chipotle chilis; and neon orange, which was a sauce made from chili de arbol and tomato. The guacamole was absolutely delicious along with the chips, and we couldn't get enough. The portion was a healthy size. The service was fast; Maribel was friendly and accommodating. Authentic, fresh, and affordable--we can recommend this place.
