The movie had all the elements to impress! The lighting, the cinematography, the acting were on par. One unbelievable fact is that the music was all original! It was an awesome event! Phillip Serafin is a writer that really deserves recognition for all of the hard work he put into writing and making this film production happen! The coolest thing was the actors in the movie all showed up for this premiere showing! We were able to mill around in the lobby and meet the actors which was super cool! This was a sold out event! The only thing up to date about this theater is that the seats are numbered, so you get to choose your seat when buying your ticket. The website mentions they have a GTX theater that stands for Grand Theater Experience. I have yet to see that offered with any of the movies I've gone to see, but I would love to check it out. When ordering online, you have the option to order tickets through Fandango or Georgia Theater Company. Both options offer rewards, but I prefer fandango since I can use my rewards at any theater across the country who uses them. The ticket booth is a riot. There is one young man who usually manages the booth as you walk in, and he is hilarious. Great personality, and he will tell you all the important things to look out for like sneak peaks after the credits. GTC Houston Lakes is by far the best theater in a 20-mile radius.

You have to drive to the back side of the mall to get to the theater, you can't enter the theater through the mall. The theater has that classic, nostalgic vibe since it opened back in 1998, and while it definitely feels a bit dated and could use a few more modern upgrades across the facility, I was super impressed by how clean and spacious the whole place is. There is tons of room to move around, and everything is kept spotless.They have made a few great updates over the years to keep things convenient. Switching from first come, first served seating to fully numbered, reserved seats is a huge plus! It makes the arrival process completely stress free. The concession stand is wonderfully traditional and hits the spot with all the movie night essentials like popcorn, candy, and slushies. They even sell cozy throws at the counter, which is such a thoughtful, comfortable touch if you tend to get chilly during a film. I'm usually very cold while at the movie theater but I was not cold at all. My husband and son thought it was a bit warm but I was super comfortable. Overall, it was a pleasant, solid first visit. I would like to try out their upgraded "LX" Luxury screen room, which features the premium reclining, vibrating seats and top tier surround sound. There are cute shops, lots of options for sweet treats (bakery, gelato, specialty coffee and tea, etc.) as well as lots of options for light bites, heavy meals, group activities or fun drinks. We patronized a few businesses as we walked, but I also enjoyed these leaf dress displays on the corners (see pics). It reminded me of the art displays large cities often have were there'll be a painted animal (cow, fish, horse, etc.) on various corners. Trilith is a good location if you're looking to burn some time and take in a meal while doing it. I've never been to any of the special events in the area, but have heard good things.

The tickets for…read moreIMAX can get pricey but I still wanted to watch the movie in IMAX because Christopher Nolan filmed the entire film in IMAX so I had no other choice. The theater was very empty when I went in. I bought my tickets online prior and I also bought 2 large drinks + 1 large popcorn online as well. My drinks and popcorn were already ready for me which was nice. Compared to the AMC Ritz, this one was a lot more vacant, not a lot of workers but it also could be the time I went in. The employees were very friendly, the seats were nice and comfortable. The IMAX screen was huge and it was so fun watching the movie on the big screen. I plan to be back to watch more IMAX movies soon!
