two glasses of wine and a menu

This winery was sooo much fun! We loved Stella and all the stories. The wine was yummy and loved that we could combine the wine slush with a little blueberry wine for our glass! Hotlanta is such a unique wine and soooo good!

We went to Warm Springs winery on our way to the Vintage Motorcycle Museum. It's about twenty minutes from Callaway Gardens, tucked away on the top of a hill. The tasting was free, informal and pretty quick. There was about a ten minute wait because a tour had already started when we arrived. The winery is small, it only holds about six people and we didn't make a reservation. They served us a delicious peach cocktail while we waited. I'm not a big wine drinker (although I love wineries, go figure). I'm especially not a fan of red wines. But the Hotlanta red is tasty! Apparently, they make their wines from muscadine grapes and throw jalapeno peppers into the barrel. The result is sweet with a bit of spice, delicious! At around $12 a bottle we definitely took some to go. I recommend it if you're in the area.

A group of Miami friends and I planned a weekend in the area hunting zombies. While we were out and about, we heard from two very nice locals about the winery. We finished our agenda and realized that we still had time before closing to stop in. I had never been to a winery so I was very excited. So we managed to get a brief history as well as a tour of how the wine is made. Our guide was so knowledgeable. Then off we went for the wine tasting. I am not a fan of sweet wine, but this was such an enjoyable event. I honestly had no idea the tour and tasting would be free! We tried 10 wines. The pepper wine was interesting, but not for me. After the tasting we were given the opportunity to purchase. What made this part so appealing was that we were not pressured in any way to make a purchase. So even though I am not a fan of a sweet wine, the hospitality and the knowledge I received, made me buy a bottle!

As you guys probably guessed finding wineries along our routes is one of my guilty pleasures. As we took the long way home after my birthday dinner we drove through Georgia to experience Some of their wineries. There's not a lot in the state but Warm Springs was not far off our route and decided to go hang out with them. We arrived right when they opened and was greeted by Mario. He is very personable and knew his wines. A testing of each of their specialties was offered and honestly, it is one of the better tasting wines from micro wineries we've had! We narrowed down our choices and came home with several bottle of red and whites :)). One that really caught us to surprise was Hotlanta. It's a semi sweet red that's been infused with spicy peppers! It would be great with a cheese and sausage appetizer. The appearance is inviting and cozy. They have a porch with some seating, lighting across the beams. They had some fun gift items you can purchase- what caught my eye was painted wine bottle! So cute and Valentine ready with KISS ME in pink Honestly we were most impressed with Mario, he made our experience at Warm Springs so enjoyable- felt like we were with an old friend instead of a new acquaintance. The owner said they have a larger gathering room people can use for parties and groups as well. Very worth the drive over and excellent experience.

Ended up picking up a case of the Hotlanta and drinking 2 of the bottles before we left.

Perfect weather! Perfect greeting by Katie (and she took our group picture!) so welcoming,…read moreelevated and an absolute gem! She was super busy, but checked everyone in and gladly took a photo! Let's talk about customer Service! From the moment Cade stepped up to say Hi, I knew we were going to have great service! We asked a lot of questions, and he made the best suggestions! Top notch! One of my friends was commenting on how she always has the best service, and she and Cade realized he had taken care of her group before! Consistency in the restaurant business is key, but you all nailed it! The wine flight (thanks Cade for the amazing recommendations!!) and the food was outstanding! Huge portions! My husband enjoyed my leftovers for dinner! Thank you for a fabulous experience!

There were 4 of us who attended the Galentine's Day event.... First time for 3 of us. The hostess I…read morethink was overwhelmed as she was kind of short with us. The winery was overly packed and believe the owner wasn't expecting such a huge turnout. The wait was about 3 1/2 hours! I tried calling to make reservations earlier in the week, but they were only accepting reservations for 12+. As we waited, there were lawn games to play, live music to listen to and fabulous drinks to be had. The choc covered strawberry wine slushies were absolutely delicious!! We had a couple appetizers while waiting as well... The spinach and cheese stuffed bread, baked Brie and pimento cheese dip. All excellent, and some of the best pimento cheese dip we have had. When we finally got seated, we ordered a couple wine flights and the bruschetta pasta for dinner along with the pecan crusted chicken wrap. The chicken seemed a little dry but the wrap was still fresh and tasty. I have been there before and love the winery. I will continue to go back as their food is always fresh and delicious, their staff is friendly and the establishment itself is very clean.
