Yes there are a number of vendors selling home made wares and even a few wholesalers of various items but nothing out of place for a small town festival. Some features for the kids: pony rides, face painting (pro), bungee jumps, and just about any kids food you can imagine. I would recommend a wagon or comfy stroller for those still adjusting to walking as the pavement is nice but still a scrape hazard with a few lumps and dips along the curbs. For adults there are a number of eating options price appropriately for a festival. This year they had not one but two Caribbean eateries attending serving Jamaican and Virgin Island dishes. You will have to eat something the smells wafting up and down the street cannot be ignored! Overall while a simple and smaller festival it is a great day out with the kids and a good way to stretch the legs while seeing local and traveling businesses of Georgia.

If you sit in the back there will be poles in the way of your view of the screen if you sit in the wrong spot The concession stand workers were super slow the lines lasted until well after the movie started. The popcorn tasted like cardboard and the cokes were flat. Don't expect a giant screen like a high end movie theater but it was still plenty big enough. With all of that being said this place has an endearing quality. It has a box office out front that gives you actual tickets which is super nostalgic. I assume one of the owners was the one selling tickets and she was super nice. The interior feels like it transports you back to days gone by. Lots of gold fixtures and nostalgic ceiling tiles. The seats while old were very cushiony and had an old timey feel. The projector and sound seem to be upgraded to digital. Unfortunately it was super hot in there and I wish the AC was colder. Overall I had a decent time and it's cool to have a theater in a small town. This theater is the same distance away from me as a multiplex. I'll probably just keep going to the newer theater.

The helicopter we flew in served in the Vietnam and Desert Storm wars- saw active duty. They can seat 10, our party had eight and John & I got to take the gunners seats facing out! Doors wide open the sounds of the engine, rotors and wind was deafening and exhilarating! We were belted in tightly for the impending roller coaster of a flight and it was a ride! Wide banking turns had us facing the ground below and then the pilot would bank the other way and we would be only seeing endless blue sky. Even had a few hover and dips thrown in! We had views of the St John's river and surrounding area. The old Navy Docks and shipyards. We departed just as the reenactment was starting- but the 15 minute (maybe 20 minute) ride had us back in time to still see plenty of action. I've ridden in helicopters before for tours- this was a COMPLETELY different experience and I highly recommend. Plus you are supporting a living history museum, veterans and a non-profit. If you see them at an event- grab a ticket and hang on for a hell of a ride!

While I have seen all varieties of races here over the years, my recent trips here have been to watch my nephew race go-carts on the dirt track. The track is well taken care of, as is the surrounding areas including the parking areas and roads in and out. They could do a bit better on the bleachers, those have clearly taken a hit over the years...still cold hard metal, but just less of them it appears. While this is an ole country dirt track, so you can't expect much, my only gripes are actual restrooms and not charging $20/car for events, even the smallest of them. I understand you got to keep the lights on, but yikes was that a bit of sticker shock when we pulled up! Overall, Senoia Raceway is a good spot for what it is used for. When I need to support or cheer the family on, I will be there.

I did not know that the bleachers/stands were all concrete steps. If coming here for an event, I would definitely recommend bringing some sort of comfort (folding lawn chair, blanket, or something else comfortable to sit on). Walking the pits was also pretty cool. It offered a closer, different, and arguably better view of the track on turns one and two than the stands offered. However, be warned and ready to have dirt thrown on you from all the racecars as they turn in front of you.

This fabulous mural is painted on the side of a building just north of the center of town - an intersection with what is probably the only traffic signal and a few buildings - and you'll see it if you're driving southbound on Georgia SR 85. Gay has had a post office since 1886 (it was closed for the day when I was here or I'd have tried to get something postmarked "Gay") and was incorporated by the Georgia General Assembly in 1907. Gay's big event is the annual "Cotton Pickin' Fair" that is held on the first weekend of every May and October. I have no idea what goes on at the fair - it appears to be a big outdoor market according to C C's review, https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-cotton-pickin-fair-gay I feel like the town is missing a marketing opportunity. They could call themselves the Gay Capital of the South or something like that. We're in the 21st Century now. There's nothing wrong with being Gay. The town does not have its own website.
