I have a 1965 Rambler convertible that I have owned since around 1975. I have had it beautifully repainted and detailed. She looks great! Now for the motor!
I met Gannon through a friend who was staying at my house. Gannon came over to fix her car, which he did in short order. I showed him the Rambler and I said she had some electrical and hard to start issues. I asked him if he could help. He said sure!!!
Since then he has been to my home in Nuuanu many times!! The Rambler, that I named "Betsy" had not had a safety check in over three years because she would not pass . The turn signals were not working. He replaced the relay and got them working! I got a safety check, and registered the car.
The hard starting issue with Betsy, was due to a clogged fuel filter which Gannon replaced. She started fine for a while but then it clogged again with flakes of rust.
So Gannon removed the fuel tank and by removing the fuel gauge send unit he was able to look inside the tank. The fuel tank was rusting from the inside and needed to be replaced along with the fuel line! That is today's project!
I am confident that Betsy will be running smoothly again just as she did when she was younger!!
Oh, he also fixed the brakes after they locked up! read more
