My initial visit was great even took some sample boards home. I picked a few options and scheduled someone to come out and measure. It was really great they do not charge for that service even if you do not order. It took a bit for the quote and I did change my mind on the carpet selection due to cost so I needed an updated quote. The price was pretty comparable to other places in guestimation as I didn't have anyone else do an exact measurement. They also have a great selection of flooring of all types. I scheduled installation and was told it would be an all day job - 3 bedrooms, stairs, and hallway. I also paid for them to move the furniture. The all day job contractors did not show up until well after 12. I wasted a morning of vacation from work waiting on them. They were there until about 8pm which was very irritating. Afterwards I noticed some seams were a bit noticable. The sales person came out to look (did not show on the first scheduled date) and said he would send someone out to work the seams a bit. We scheduled a time and they did not show. I called and never got a response. I also noticed some damage to the furniture but by that point I'm sure nothing would have been done. I love supporting smaller more local businesses but I'm not sure I would recommend or return. Too bad as I do have more flooring to replace.

Levi was actually the third company I called and the first to respond to me, same day. They were so prompt and efficient. I worked with Paul to choose flooring and schedule the service. He was very friendly and helpful. I did not meet the guy who installed the floor but my boyfriend said he was very nice. The floor looks awesome and eventually, I would like to do the whole upstairs with the flooring used for this small project and I will definitely be calling Levi when that time comes!

By 1130, no one had shown up, and I hadn't received a phone call or any communication, so I called the company. When I explained that I had an appointment and no one had arrived, Ian didn't ask for my name or address to look up the appointment. Instead, he simply asked if Aaron was the one coming out. I told him I wasn't sure who was scheduled, and his response was, "Well, he might be running behind. He'll be there when he's done." That was the extent of the explanation. No apology, no attempt to confirm my appointment, and no effort to provide an updated arrival time. If you're running late, the least you can do is call your customer. I told him not to bother coming and that I would take my business elsewhere if that's how they operate. His only response was, "Okay." Based on my experience, this company showed a complete lack of professionalism and customer service. If this is how they treat potential customers before they've even earned your business, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

America's FS tells us it's the manufacturer's problem, the manufacturer states the "wear layer" (clear layer over the top) is the only warranted component. Do not buy from AFS, and do not consider LVP, you'll regret it and have to have it replaced.

I visited America's Floor Source a couple of times, then had a conversation with one of the sales reps. I was pleased to know that there was financing available if needed and the rep agreed to come to my home to see the work I needed. She came and measured; then called and came back because she wanted to double-check the color she had chosen. That was a good thing, because in a different light, she was able to get a more accurate view of the color (we were matching what would be on the stairs to what I already have on my gound floor.) She ordered the wood and it took about a month to get in but once in, AFS called and set up the work date. I paid half of my total cost to get the wood ordered, and completed the purchase once the appointment for installation was made. I was given the date for the install and was told that the crew would be at my house between 8 and 11. They arrived right at 8. The "crew" was two men, neither of whom spoke English, but when I tell you they were professionals in the highest sense of the word, I don't do them justice. They came in, got the lay of the land, took the carpet up, and got to work, preparing the stairs and the hallway, sanding where there needed to be sanding, and letting me know the whole time what they were doing and why. They laid that hardwood with love and pride. The job took all day (they thought it would take 1/2 day) and when they were done, they totally cleaned up the work area. They took the old carpet away, swept up all dust inside the house and in the garage, where they worked, and then, as they left, reminded me to close the garage door. All of this might sound like a bit much, but I've had work done in my house in several areas, and good service as well as good workmanship has been hard to find. These guys were perfect!!!!! And the stairs/floor are gorgeous! I recommend America's Floor Source. I would use them again in a heartbeat!

THIS IS A TRUE STORY - My wife and I went into panel town to take a look at their showroom. We…read moreended up finding a floor we liked there but decided to go through with purchase and installation through another company. Panel Town took this as an insult and the owner called the company we decided to move forward with and strong-arm'd him into using them (panel town) as the supplier of the hardwood. THIS IS WHERE IT GETS SHADY AND CROOKED. After our guy agreed to go through panel town to by the boards, the day we were having our floors ripped out and prepped, Panel Town told us that the boards we had ordered and confirmed were in stock were NO LONGER AVAILABLE... Turns out they didn't even place the order and we confirmed this by calling the manufacturer of the hardwoods and they said that Panel Town hadn't placed an order of that particular boards for 3 months. SO THEY DIDN'T EVEN PLACE OUR ORDER OUT OF SPITE BECAUSE WE DID NOT GO WITH THEM TO BEGIN WITH. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. These people are shady and vindictive. However, if you do decide to go with them do not take their first price. They will always go down on price lower and lower to get your business but they may screw you in the end so NOT WORTH IT.

The owner came out, measured, and gave me a sq. ft. installed price that was competitive with some…read moreof the other fabricators that I had talked to, not the lowest price by the way but within my modest budget. They were able to get a particular stone that I wanted so that clinched the deal. He was, throughout this purchase and installation, always pleasant and polite. I wanted a honed finish on the stone: he first quoted me double what anyone else had for honing, but then he did agree to match the pricing from other stone yards for that finish. I had to wait many weeks for him to template and be ready to install. Whoops, he suddenly discovered that my walls were not straight! In a 75 year old house that he had already seen and taken measurements before quoting -- Well, that would be an extra $200 to scribe the stone to the wall (I do not understand why every fabricator makes a template if they expect the walls to be straight and not have to cut the stone to fit...). He then asked if I wanted an "enhancing" sealer on the stone -- explaining that the stone would be darkened by it. I told him "NO" because the color of the stone, as it was, was just what I was after. Installation day: he had applied the enhancer to the stone anyway. It changed the color of the stone from grey-green to gray-black. The seam was not well color matched to the stone, much lighter, unexpectedly wide and very visible. I would guess that he had mixed it to match the original color of the stone. When I asked him if it could be improved, he said "NO". He told me that it would darken as it cured. The edge along the wall, that I had paid extra to have the stone fit, varies from 1/16" to nearly 3/8" gaps (I have seen example of other installer's work that is closer, including much narrower seams, so, I don't understand just what I paid the extra $200 for), filled with BRIGHT WHITE caulk. The stone is dark and the walls were not going to be white. He told me that I would need to paint the caulk to blend it in. Colored caulk is readily available, by the way. UPDATE AT JUST ABOUT 2 YEARS LATER: the caulk is starting to fail (gap and crack) at points. Shouldn't it last longer? Also, he attached the undermount sink to the counter with caulk only. My cabinet guys told me that they have to redo that sort of installation often because they fail. Clips or a harness should be used. I am purchasing a harness device to secure the sink myself. After some time when it became obvious that the seam material was NOT going to darken, I asked him to come back and make it better, and to try to remove the enhancing sealer. To his credit, he did come back: the seam is much less visible now, which is why I originally gave an A-OK rating, but his effort to remove the enhancer only produced a subtle restoration toward the original color. Plus he skipped one section of counter entirely so it is visibly darker than the rest (although as it is subtle, most wouldn't notice). So, I would say that his work is just barely okay, definitely not top quality, and left me somewhat disappointed with my countertop. Apparently the honing and edge scribing was done by the yard where he got the stone, Mees Distributors. So I can't be sure if the uneven scribe is their error (careless work) or his (bad template)..
