I went in here to ask to use the restroom and the employees were very unpleasant unhelpful and very discourteous

I'm very sad to be writing this review. This is my neighborhood drug store that I go to almost daily. They have snacks, seasonal items, cosmetics, and oh so much more! It's about two blocks from my house so of course I used to love it. I bought some mascara on 12/30 and I always keep my receipts when I try something new just in case. I tried a new type of mascara so..... I went to the store today to return the mascara and the checker said that the mascara that was on the receipt was not what I was returning eluding to the fact that I either stole it or was mis appropriating a receipt. I assured her that that was the only mascara I had purchased there in some time and she said sorry. She was very callous about it. So the fact that I am a daily customer means nothing. In fact it will get you accusations that maybe you stole something. I'm pretty sure that I was on surveillance so they could have checked to see if I stole something. Very disgusted and heart broken to have been treated this way and not sure if I can ever go there again. :( read more

In line for a scheduled vaccine for over an hour. Not considerate of anyone's time. People are leaving and not taking their vaccine due to the wait. No communication at all with the 8 people waiting on line. read more

Easy access. Parking entrance from Oceanside Blvd or Coast Hwy. Good place for something quick. We needed bottled water and sundries for it weekend trip and this Rite Aid was close by and easy. read more

I was calling the pharmacy just to have them hang up on me 3 different times. The black lady was the worst person I have ever in my life come across. To top it off the manager was no help oncesoever. This is by far the worst rite aid I have ever been to. I do not recommend anyone ever going there. To top it off 90% of the employees are on drugs... I am trying my best to make sure this is known to the company. No customers should ever have to deal with them ever again. I will be making a point to keep everyone I know and more far away from that store as possible!!! read more

I can't even begin to review the inside of the store because I couldn't get beyond the state of the parking lot . I've spoken to those who took it upon themselves to clean it for you only to see trash return. Work with the police, lock up your dumpsters, patrol your parking lot, get cameras, hire a crew to keep it up to standards of decency and health. read more

Thank you rite aid for your quick response to my complaint but in truth there is nothing more that can be done. As a consumer I have the ability to vote with my dollar and I chose never to set foot in any of your stores after the total disregard by your employees in the pharmacy. Every time I tried to fill a prescription at this location I was treated like a degenerate. The staff was very unfriendly and down right crass bordering on racist. The staff once called me about a prescription that was supposedly filled and ready for pick up when I arrived they made me wait for an hour. Needless to say every visit after that had the same general undertone of " we don't care about you so stop comming here". So thank you for your piss por attempt at PR but I no longer have a need to frequent any of your locations. I'd rather drive 10 minutes out of my way to fill my prescriptions at Walgreens, Costco, or CVS than to deal with the absolutely horrible staff you currently have working at this location. If I could give zero stars, I would. I went to fill my rx after my Drs appt in La Jolla. When I finally get to the drive up window, they ask for my id and rx. A few minutes later the pharmacist approached me and says she cannot fill my rx because the dr didn't "hand write" the date. The date was printed on the rx. I asked if they could call my dr. I even provided my discharge papers reflecting the date that's on the rx. I get that it's a class 2 and norco is considered a narcotic...now I'm in pain and have to travel back to La Jolla. Will never step foot in this crappy customer service place again. read more

my wife and i have been enjoying thrifty ice cream for years and we always take advantage of the 2for1 sales. the last couple of years we've noticed the product quality has deteriorated. They have nothing else to offer since they have no specialty or even fairly priced items other than quality ice cream which pistachio has vey little pistachio or some other nuts and chocolate brownie has lost the brownie now is little flavorless chewy chunks of dark bits. read more

I have been coming to the store for years and the cashiers are always very nice. I wanted a few paper towels today and say a sign underneath a name brand for 59 cents! wow I grabbed 10. had a problem up front when they said it was the wrong price. now ladies and gentlemen, the law states that if a store has wrongfully labeled a price they still HAVE to give it to you for the labeled price. I mentioned this and they ran back there, changed the label and stocked a whole bunch a different kind of towel above the label. instead of giving me a few bucks discount they went ahead and lied and insisted that it was always like that and I THE CUSTOMER was absolutely wrong.. over a few dollars I got lied to. made a fool and took a big hassle. so they saved a few bucks and some idiot in the back didnt get in trouble from this. as far as me? I'm never coming back, if it was a larger amount I would report them to the better business beuro. read more

Besides the line here, that is confusing and slow... I mean are there 2? Is it 1 that splits to the next available register? Should I tell the meth freak that he just cut in line, or let him pay for his Pepsi in nickels and move on? ...I have nothing bad to say. I really only go here for the Heineken 12-packs. Last night, for example, $10.99. Yeah, $10.99. Sometimes $11.99, sometimes $12.99. Beyond that, I'd rather go to a liquor store and pay $18.99, because that line is just awful. read more

Alright so I dont go into the actual store very much and everytime I do, I have a plesant experience, other than the line which I see everyone has a problem with. Staff is mostly kids, sometimes sketchy people around, but overall its a-ok by me. But here is my problem... THE PHARMACY. My god, I dont think ive had a good experience ever there. I have 3 prescriptions to fill at different times of the month so I'm here quite often.. I dread going here everytime. Going in isnt as completly aweful at going thru the drivethru. Theres usually a line when going in and the pharmacy being understaffed. Drive thru is the worst though, which unfortunatly I use the most because Im too lazy to get out of my car and go in. Once you push the button (which you can barley reach and have to lean out the window to push) it takes several minutes for anyone to even come to the window and acknowledge you. Sometimes I dont know if the call button doest work and thats the problem?? When someone does usually come to the window, your told just a few more minutes just about everytime because they are busy with another person. I can understand this but they are always severly understaffed. The pharmacists I talk to usually arent very friendly or smile. It isnt that hard to be nice people come on. There is one girl, who I cant even think of her name right now, who is always very nice, I like her a lot- but other than that they suck. Its just such a long process, even when there is one car in front of you, because you have to wait thru the long process x2. Anyways, theres my rant read more

Pharmacy was actually a pleasant experience. A lot of pharmacy's I've been to have seem to have unhappy employees that are not very friendly but today there was a younger African American girl who was so nice! I'm definitely going back here even though there are two pharmacies right down the street. She was helpful too. read more

Just remodeled the place. Its not all the way done so some of the cosmetic stuff is not completed all the way just yet. I have to say the new set up is way more easier to get through the store and find what u want. Previously it was all side ways then back the other way like a "Z". Now u walk in and its all in row with the flow of how u walk in and out. I have had some crazy problems trying to find things previously with the original outlay. First time walking into the new place i found everything i was looking for with ease and no problem at all. AWESOME change. read more

I will never shop here again. I needed to use the ladies room, to pee. ( I know TMI) I have a medical condition. I was refused. Saying there was a " water spill" when the lady at the front counter said the bathrooms were fine. I asked for the Manager, he's the one who told be there was now a "leak" " from the rain" I had over $100.00 dollars of stuff in my cart and was going to continue to shop, I told him I will not buy these items if I can't use the restroom, his words, " I'm sorry to hear that" and he let me walkOUT!!!! I've worked in customer service for 18 years, and never never would I let a $1.00 sale WALK OUT THE DOOR!! Let alone $100. Or more!!! WOW!! JUST WOW!!!!!!! A little water on the floor wouldn't have bothered me at all. I had shoes on, and could have pre warned. I think there was NO water & you Sir. Are. Rude. If I'm not mistaken? There are laws In place that a restroom is required, if there's a pharmacy. & they serve ice cream, which is food service, and you have to have a Restroom. They also blamed it on the homeless problem. I'm still in shock, it was extremely embarrassing to me as well. read more

I hate going here. I have been sitting in the Pharmacy drive thru for 15 minutes and not a soul has come to the window. This is not an isolated incident either. This happens all the time. Hire some staff, do something. Really gets old having it take 15 minutes + to get a pre filled script. If there were ANY other option in the neighborhood, I would use it. Management needs to make sure their customer service team have proper people skills. Pharmacy computers were down and I am pretty sure I spoke to the most uncaring and unhelpful person on the planet. Switching pharmacies. One too many bad experiences here with the pharmacy team. read more

I went to the pharmacy a few days ago to pick up a refill on my prescription and was told that my prescription was not "faxed" in. I called my health care provider on Thursday and was told that my prescription for a refill was sent over to Rite-Aid. My prescription was due to run out on Friday so I went to Rite-Aid at 6 P.M. to pick up the refill but was told by the pharmacy that the paperwork was not "faxed" in. At this point I contacted my doctor's after hours answering service to report the discrepancy. I called Rite-Aid and asked if it was possible a mistake was made and was told that my prescription had not been sent electronically through their "system". I called Rite-Aid out on their inconsistent modes of communication with one employee saying that prescriptions are sent by fax and another who says that they are sent through their computer system. I suspect Rite-Aid may be to blame if they can't get their information straight or retrieve any information at all on patients. This is incompetence and if Rite-Aid Pharmacy is responsible then I plan to report Rite-Aid to the Department of Consumer Affairs Board of Pharmacy for negligence. read more

Rite Aid has a good pharmacy and I can find what I need. I would give 5 stars if there was no loitering, panhandlers, transients or prostitutes. Rite Aid could stop selling groceries, liquor and tobacco and focus on a cute soda fountain theme that is more wholesome and family friendly. read more

The store is like most rite aide. The transit center is nearby and homeless frequently lounge in the store stealing. Some what dirty because of this problem. The city has a sewer smell half the time. read more

Although i haven't used Rite Aid since moving to California I previously never had anything bad to say about this company. I needed to fill a prescription last minute out of town, and they were the only pharmacy open nearby. I went directly to pharmacy, and then asked to use tge restroom while I was waiting for it to be filled. She stated she would call someone over to let me in, and to just head to aisle 19. At that time a gentleman walked towards me and rudely yelled across store that bathrooms were closed. I was taken aback so I asked another employee his name at which time she said his name is Brandon and he is the manager. I asked if this was company policy or their store policy. She said they close early for cleaning. When I checked their was nobody cleaning them. I know this isn't company policy because I've gone to many Rite Aids across the country and never had this issue. In my career I specialize in customer service, and can say without a doubt this store is less than sub par. To me customer service can make or break a company. How difficult is it to allow a paying customer access to a restroom? Very disappointed! read more

Four stars because my prescription is $50 cheaper than Wal-mart ($199 as opposed to $249). Don't always assume Wal-mart is cheapest like I used to. The pharmacy staff is really friendly and it never seems overly packed like Wal-mart. They seem on top of things, and fast processing new prescriptions. read more

I just moved to the area a few months ago and I've been going to this Rite Aide with my kids for our Thrifty's ice cream! The store is neat and the staff is generally pretty friendly. I always request Troy to serve our ice cream! He makes our experience so enjoyable. He's super friendly and always makes us feel welcome. Also, they have some pretty good deals on make up and toiletries. I definitely found my new favorite convenience store! read more

So on one of the hottest days of the year I walked into this Rite Aid for scoops of ice cream. Once again the ice cream department was closed. It was only 8:30pm. Never coming here again as the department seems to be more closed than open. Maybe the store's manager wants it that way. The ice cream department at the store on vista way is always open and the service is good. read more

I have never been treated so rude before in my life. I went it to buy alcohol, as I do a lot, and I happen to see a tin with a bottle of sailor jerry's in it with a limited addition poster, im stoked, so I take the lid off just to check to see which poster I was getting before I purchased it. There's no plastic wrap or anything, the lid comes right off on all the tins so I am not damaging or taking tags off, nothing. So as I take off one lid, which is made of tin and is very light, no possible damage that could have been done, I accidently drop it. I hear the manager who's name is Renee, come running over yelling at me, rips the bottle out of my fiancés hand and yells at us not to throw things around and that we are damaging the poster and is just so rude. We did nothing to deserve that rudeness but try and purchase something from that store. When someone acts like that for no reason im not going to sit back and let them be able to do that so I called the store and complained and guess who I get, RENEE. so I tell her the story of what she just did to me and denies that she did anything and hands the phone to someone else, so I will be contacting headquarters or corporate or whoever I need to and will be complaining more, I really hope you read this Renee and realize that you cant talk to or treat your customers like that no matter what kind of day your having cause you may be talking to someone like me who wont let it happen. So calm the hell down and treat your freaking costumers a little more nicely. Much love. read more

I like the store in general and have had no problems with the personnel, but as previously reported, the PHARMACY RUNS OUT OF DRUGS. Apparently they have an ordering problem. The store is close to my home and I want to stay with them, because they have a drive-up and better hours than CVS, but it shouldn't take rocket science to keep drugs in stock. I haven't had this problem with other pharmacies. I hope it gets better as I just started with them. read more

When they updated a few years back it was so nice..Went in a few months ago 2014 and will never go back...It has gone down hill, products on the floor, dirty floors, no dusting, cosmetics are a mess, no new inventory, like they are going out of business and bad customer service..
