Johnny is the owner or co-owner and is super nice. They have a large selection of stuff, well stocked and convenient. Propane, ice, large beer and wine selection, hard liquor behind counter, and randomly a good selection of cute sunglasses, and fresh bouquets of flowers. I love this place.

If you haven't tried the Caribbean Bean Salad yet, start there. It's so good. I usually grab a bag of tortilla chips to go with it, but it's equally good with plantain chips. Their Kale & White Bean Salad is another favorite, and I haven't had a fresh juice there that I didn't enjoy. Surprisingly, their matcha is pretty solid too. The store has a great selection overall and feels like the closest thing Oceanside has to a Whole Foods. I find myself stopping in at least once a week for meal prep ingredients, snacks, or something from the deli case. The reason I'm landing at 4 stars instead of 5 is mostly the location. There's almost always something interesting happening outside, and it's not uncommon to see police activity nearby. Also, if you order a fresh juice or hot drink, don't expect it to come out lightning fast. They definitely take their time. That said, those are pretty minor complaints. The quality of the food, produce, and prepared items keeps me coming back. All in all, it's a great neighborhood market with plenty of healthy options and some hidden gems if you're willing to explore a little.

The bakery is well stocked with cakes, less pies and not so many bread rolls and cookies as other groceries. They do a good job of custom order though, fast, accurate, well priced. Self check out on both sides, though only 1 is open usually. Staff are generally nice and friendly. Prices aren't the best, but you gotta work for their deals sometimes. I like their deli selection as it's a higher quality than Albertsons, but I like Albertsons deli items (hot and cold) more. Ralphs has better cheeses. Seafood is standard quality, though more limited. Same with their butcher offerings. I often have to custom order oxtails, picana cuts as they don't stock as much as you'd expect. Large ice cream and chips selection, small pickle selection. Some items are sort of illogically placed. During busy times they tend to run out of key ingredients (thyme and rosemary for thanksgiving). They tend to pull things at night on the early side. Their egg selection is limited, but their hotdog selection is larger than most. Idk who at Kroger does their buying, but they could certainly use a push more towards Pavillions than the standard run of the mill Ralphs.

On this particular day I was looking for snacks to take with me while travelling. I had absolutely no clue. Here is where my TJ's experience got even better. I approached a young woman staff member, Jamie. I was just delighted with my interaction with her. It would be hard to convince me that she didn't really " care" as she asked a number of very good questions and took me virtually halfway through the store showing me good options. So pleasant. Big smile. Wonderful advice. Thanks, Jamie!

We sat outside, soaking up the sunshine with boats cruising by -- hard to beat that Oceanside vibe. Food I ordered the coconut shrimp, which were crispy, golden, and lightly sweet, paired with a tangy dipping sauce that balanced everything nicely. The plate came with French fries, coleslaw, and hush puppies, and honestly, the sides were a pleasant surprise. The fries were hot and crunchy -- classic and satisfying. The coleslaw was fresh and creamy, not overly sweet, and worked well as a contrast to the fried seafood. The hush puppies were warm, slightly crisp on the outside, and soft inside -- easy to snack on while enjoying the view. Portions were generous and perfect for a relaxed midday meal. Service & Atmosphere Service was friendly and laid-back, matching the beachy atmosphere. Joe's is clearly about casual fun rather than fine dining, and it delivers on that front with a lively, family-friendly feel. Overall Great location, solid seafood, and a well-rounded plate with tasty sides. The coconut shrimp with fries, coleslaw, and hush puppies made for an easy, enjoyable lunch that paired perfectly with sunshine and ocean air. Would definitely come back for another casual waterfront meal.

I needed a few items for a party that I was attending, and I found several things that were very reasonably priced. The store itself is huge and they have so much inventory of different items. Their bulk section is bigger than any I've ever seen and they have a little bit of everything. Their produce department is big too. They have some premade items in the deli area as well as breads, cakes and pastries. They have a good selection of pet food and treats. They also have rows and rows of refrigerated foods and frozen foods. I'll definitely come back and explore when I have more time but I found everything I needed without issue. They have a lot of the same brands as most stores do and some that I don't know.. I did have more than 15 items so I had to check out through a checkstand, but I could see if I needed to come and get something quick, It would be much faster to use the self checkout. Also they only take, cash, checks or debit cards. I'm glad I knew this in advance.

Frazier Farms is almost the perfect grocery store. Grass-fed meat, wild caught fish, fresh local…read moreproduce, and tasty bread baked in-house: there is something here for everyone. Additionally, their sushi, smoothie bar and pre-made foods are top notch - they are MILES ahead of any of the "big" grocery stores. So the question is - if they are so great, why do they only have 4 stars on Yelp? One major reason is that they stretch their products. If you don't check the expiration date on every product you purchase, you will end up buying something months after it expired. I purchased a Brie-en-croute on sale for Super Bowl. I was so excited to try it. When I opened the box, the product had mold all over it. I looked at the expiration date and it was not supposed to expire for another week. Then I looked more closely. They had an expiration sticker that was on the box that had already passed, and then they put another sticker on top of that one with a different expiration date. That's not accidental - that's intentional. I definitely felt taken advantage of. Is it enough to make me stop shopping at Frazier Farms? Absolutely not. But, if this grocery outlet wants to improve, they need to look into why so many products on the shelves are expired. I understand not wanting to waste things. But you can't put new stickers on top of old stickers while selling a moldy product. I hope someone in management reads this review, and takes it seriously. I don't have time to go back to Fraziers every time I have to return an expired product. If that changes, I will change this review to 5 stars.
