I'm a beauty addict. I love buying makeup. Of course I can't pop over to the MAC counter while I'm on my lunch break, but I can go over to Rite Aid. Unfortunately, this Rite Aid is one of the worst I've been to. When I was a kid we would go to this store when it was Thrifty's and get ice cream for 10 cents a scoop. This was back in the 80's mind you. I bought my first makeup at this store: Revlon lipstick, Cutex nail polish, Aziza eyeshadow... sigh... so this place has a certain nostalgia for me. But now that it's become a Rite Aid... pbbbt. Sucks. The selection is bad. They run out of sale items all the time, and the service! The worst! Apathetic, lazy, rude... they will curse in front of the customers as they chit-chat with each other. I now skip over two blocks east to Walgreens. read more

Asked about about a black TY stuffed animal and the guy at actually picked up the phone did not even bother to ask or look. He just said don't have that and that was it. Horrible service! read more

This location has its share of trials and tribulations given its downtown location. It has been my local pharmacy/ice cream shop for 12 years. For most of those years I have expected little and received less but I'm writing because that has changed. Over the past 18 months service has exceeded my expectations. This place is a good place. Three stars is good. It's within walking distance and is a true "convenience store" definition. It has had what I needed regardless of what that was. I've been here a few times and from my last visit felt compelled to write a review. I like the staff. The place beats going to Wal-Mart and dealing with the abysmal lines and counter service. read more

I live fairly close to this Rite Aid. It's clean and conveniently stocked. Always great sales going on. The cashiers are always very friendly too and very helpful when you are looking for something in particular. read more

Opens early and stats open late. It's my quick stopfor necessities. They have a vast assortment of gift cards for last minute bday gifts and chocolate malted crunch, one of the best flavors of ice cream around! They could use more checkers when it gets busy. Get their card and save. Don't forget to bring your own bags as they're ten cents a pop in Long Beach now. read more

This location is alright. Its location is convenient but I've been in much nicer Riteaids. The employees have for the most part been friendly and quick. My main complaint is that the Western Union station never has a been or forms. read more

This Rite Aid is the best of the chain in Long Beach. Everyone is so friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Their pharmacy is the best at checking to see that a new prescription doesn't counteract something you are already taking. The pharmacists really take the time to explain new prescriptions so you feel safe taking them. read more

The reason I give this Rite Aid location a one (1) star is because of the bathroom. One was broken, and the other one was the dirtiest public bathroom I have ever set foot in. I was in Southern California the first week of December and found myself with a horrible case of the flu. By that Wednesday, I tracked down a nearby Urgent Care And then dropped off the prescriptions and made my way back to my vehicle to rest while I waited, as I was quite ill and weak. Remember that sick people are in the pharmacy, so one would think that such a place would be in the business of stopping the spread of germs and disease. I walked into the bathroom and nearly puked from the stench. There was urine on the floor and the bathroom was disgusting. I immediately walked out, but unfortunately had to quickly return to it. After exiting this horrific environment, I spoke to a clerk who was restocking items and told her about the condition of the bathroom. She immediately used her radio and told someone that "another customer was complaining about the bathroom". I got in line, waited a while and discovered my medication still was not ready. Again, unfortunately, I had to return back to that bathroom, with no real choice. Again, I nearly threw up. The urine smell was horrible. My name was called and I returned to the line and purchased my medication. As I left the store I noticed there were three (3) employees standing near the registers doing absolutely nothing. I made my way back to our hotel and immediately showered and placed my clothes in a bag as I didn't need more germs and viruses spreading. read more

I've gone to this pharmacy 3 times since I moved to the area 3 months ago. No customer service, wait is FOREVER. This employee Laura has made the last 2 out of 3 times miserable. The first time she told me my rx wasn't called in and when I confirmed with my doctors office, they said it was called in. I went back the next day and the pharmacist said it WAS called in but they had questions so it wasn't filled. Last week I went in for a REFILL and waited 45 mins when only 2 people were in front of me. Today I'm standing at the pick up line and there was not a peep for a while and was told "just a minute" When I tried to get her attention and still had to wait. People we don't have all day to spend waiting for you to get your stuff together and when you finally do your job, no ATTITUDE please! There are many pharmacies in the vicinity and as of today, I'll be using one of them and not Rite Aid. read more

This is purely on the actual pharmacy not the store. I have been using this pharmacy for a while but as things just keep getting worse and worse have decided to move elsewhere. For starters I have never dealt with a pharmacy that seems to always run out of medication. I get so many notifications of being out of stock and having to wait. Secondly, refills take two to three days to get filled. Expect to stand in line for over 30 minutes a lot of time. If you don't accept the flu shot from them they insult you that you don't trust them and they can do it just like the doctor. The one pharmacist insulted me stating the because of my job I am on all the meds I am on, my job has nothing to do with that. And lastly, I had an issue with my insurance not covering a medication, while I know that is not their fault the fiasco of this is. I told them at the time I went to pick it up that I would not accept the medication due to the high cost, and would work with my doctor to find a different medication. I have gotten constant calls, text messages and emails about having medication to pick up. I have stopped in person three times since the first time and called them 4 times and they still are not understanding that I am not picking up the medication. Save yourself the trouble and find a different pharmacy to work with. read more
