My mother, ill, with a kidney infection on a Sunday evening... After finding our family doctor who was on vacation, he was kind enough to call in prescriptions for her at this location. He told us that he had to call 6 times and be on hold for over 20 minutes so that he can to speak to a pharmacy staff. My mother not feeling well, drove herself to this Rite Aid location to pick up her medications. She was told that there weren't any prescriptions for her at this location. We had to page her doctor again who had to call this Rite Aid while vacationing in Colorado. Then miraculously the prescriptions were found. After all this mix up and my mother not feeling well; the pharmacy staff had the audacity to tell her, rudely, that it will take an hour for her medications to be ready. There were 2 different prescriptions to be exact. None of them had to be compounded nor had to be prepared nor were narcotics. No excuse! They simply were rude and tried to give her a hard time because she complained to the store manager. Will be filing a formal complaint with Rite Aid corporate. This is simply unacceptable. I typically don't write reviews for big chains like this, but I felt the need for an exception. Late Saturday night a couple weeks back, I was diagnosed by a local late-night Clinic that I had strep throat (ugghhh..hell).. and I needed to fill an antibiotic prescription FAST! I checked yelp and found they were open 24 hours... so I went over there and went straight to the pharmacy to fill the order. The lady was very nice and helpful, she took my info, and said it would be ready in 15mins.... no problem! So I perused the aisles of the store, picking up random items that I either needed OR thought was simply cool to have.. haha.. They actually have decent prices on certain items... but of course, some are overpriced.. 10 mins later, the Pharmacy Tech called out stating my order was ready, and quickly helped me check out. She (and the on-site Doc...I assume) were great, they answered all my questions about mixing the prescription with other medicines and herbal pills. IF I needed any more drugs (hopefully not anytime soon though), this will be the place to go! read more

I have been visiting this pharmacy since October of 2011 and I have always been satisfied by their great customer service. Today I visited this pharmacy again and was greeted by Felice the pharmacist on duty. I can't find words to explain how caring, professional, amicable and nice she is. She looked at me and said I remember talking to you again. Indeed, I also remembered that we spoke two years ago, since I visit them during the day and she works at night shift. She remembered me as a customer from two years ago, I was fascinated. We spoke again, and we remembered a very funny story that told her two years ago which was hilarious, and we shared a laugh again today. Beware the pharmacy at this Rite Aid location. They can potentially endanger people's lives with their incompetence. I brought a new prescription for my son on a Friday afternoon and was told they don't keep it stocked and it will have to be ordered. I'm told the medication will be ready for pick up on Monday anytime after 11AM. I had just enough of my son's old meds, which he must take daily, to last until then. I arrive on Monday around 3:30PM to pick up the meds and am baffled to find they never ordered the medication. No one knows what is going on (4 separate people were asked) and when it's finally figured out, I'm told we have to wait until WEDNESDAY. They tried to call me, the pharmacist says, but can't say when and I never had a missed call or message from anyone since Friday at any of the multiple phone numbers they have listed on my account. My son is out of medication for the next day and the pharmacist has yet to apologize for the huge f*ck up. Instead he gets confrontational when he sees that I'm (justifiably) upset and offers to call around to see if any other locations have the medication available. I have no choice but to accept his help. After waiting for him to call around, he manages to find some in Pasadena. This was incredibly lucky, as I said before, this isn't a medication that's normally kept in stock at any pharmacy. At this point, he gives me the address and returns the prescription and I finally get an apology. That'd be great if that were the end but at the new pharmacy, the pharmacist tells me that for certain medications, of which ours is included, a certain script pad is now required by law and the dr wrote the prescription on the wrong pad. She says shes unable to fill it. So not only did the other pharmacy not order the medication, they missed this hugely important detail when I dropped off the order on Friday, when I still would have had an opportunity to correct the problem. The Pasadena location was able to find a resolution but it was absolutely with ZERO help from this location. read more

While standing in the long line at Rite Aid, I was listening to the transactions of the groups of families that was in front of me. I get that its the holiday's making stores busy and a bit chaotic, that's obviously a given. That still doesn't condone the repeated rude behavior of an employee to a customer. Rolling of the eyes and a rude I'm not happy to be working right now tone of voice really isn't necessary, especially when the customers haven't done anything to draw out this type of reaction. I've been a Rite Aid customer since the Thrifty days! This location has got some of the most helpful and, friendly staff around. I always come here to get ice cream because the Thrifty brand just tastes better. You can tell just by tasting, that they use real cream. Their snack isles are fully stocked, and they also have those hard to find items, such as boric acid for cleansing the eyes. The store however, can use a little face-lift. From the outside it looks a bit drab. The color on their sign has faded. The interior of the store could use a good cleaning(on a regular basis), and while most of their staff is friendly, you do get the occasional "doom and, gloom" from some of their associates. The rest of them can take an example from the ones who are smiling, and willing to help, so that they too may improve. I especially liked Mariam, she was very helpful! read more

The lady at the pharmacy is not helpful. I asked if she knew where the arnica tablets were located, and she said they didn't carry them. I made a special trip down to Glendale on a tip from someone that Rite Aid carried them so I continued to look. Within five minutes I found them in a different section of the store. This rite aid is like your basic rite aid. Nothing special or extravagant about it, it's been in the location for a while. But, the necessities are always available and the Thrifty Ice Cream is always worth visiting this place. I'm glad that this rite aid has stuck around, but sometimes items may be overpriced and discounts deceive you. read more

(Only reviewing the Pharmacy) THIS RITE AID SUCKS SOME SERIOUS FUNKY SMELLIN, AROUND THE CORNER CHEAP HOOKER, $2 SUCKY SUCKY ASS! Good grief, EVERY TIME I go into this place, they take FOREVER and a day to fill prescriptions. I dropped off my mom's prescriptions at 8pm on a Monday night thinking, OK, this shouldn't be peak time. They said it would be ready by 9. Fine - went home to watch some TV and wait. Sent back at 9:30 (30 extra minutes AFTER they said it would be ready). The line was so long, almost down the middle of the store! After waiting in line for 15 minutes I finally get to the counter to pick up where I'm told, "Oh, it's being processed right now. It will be another 5-10 minutes.". Fine, I though. We as I'm waiting I overhear all these other people coming to pick up - one man who's doctor called in his order in the afternoon, another woman that dropped hers off at 6pm. All of us had been waiting HOURS to get our medicine - WTF???? After waiting another 20 minutes, I finally got my order at 10:20...2 hours and 20 minutes after dropping it off. I feel bad for those wanting a consultation with the pharmacist; they're probably still waiting to meet! This is ridiculous. GO TO ANOTHER PHARMACY! Otherwise, don't expect your order to be ready in a reasonable amount of time or at the time the quote you. Add another 2 hours onto that and you MIGHT be OK. Worst place of business I have ever been in. Took my friend here at 2:30 AM after emergency ER surgery to have her prescription filled. We approached the counter and the pharmacist looked at us ( my friend had fallen and had her head bandaged) and said, "I am going to take my lunch now, you have to come back in 40 minutes. We were speechless that he would really make her wait until he got done with his lunch and we had a real bad vibe from him like he was trying to draw us into an argument. This happened on April 25, 2014 at 2:30 AM. Seriously, Rite Aid, how is that okay? This behavior seems to be somewhat sadistic. Extremely disappointed. I had my dentist call in an antibiotic prescription. The pharmacy "lost" the message and never filled the prescription. I had my dentist recall the prescription in at 10pm. The pharmacy manager "Felice" a very large African American woman spoke to my physician with slang, arrogance and attitude, then proceeded to hang up the phone and refuse to fill the prescription. I like this location best. It's open 24 hours, so it's convenient day or night. The products are basically the same as the other Rite Aids. The staff is friendly enough. The store is located in a shopping plaza with several other businesses such as Vons and Pier One, so you can shop at more than one place without ever leaving the parking lot. read more

Note: This review is for the PHARMACY ONLY (NOT THE STORE) I went to this Rite Aid for the first time today. I usually get my prescriptions by mail or, if I do have to pick up in person, I go to the Rite Aid at the Americana. But, today, I needed the prescription filled fast and I needed to do some grocery shopping. So, I went to this Rite Aid because it is next to Vons and it was on my way home. Maybe it was "beginner's luck", but I didn't have any problems with them at all. I was told my prescription would be ready in an hour. So, I took care of my Vons shopping and headed back to Rite Aid after 30 minutes. Even though I was 30 minutes early, my prescription was there waiting for me. Unfortunately, they had to process my insurance and that took 30 minutes. But, that was my fault for forgetting that I got new insurance since the last time I filled a prescription at Rite Aid. If it wasn't for my memory lapse, I would have been in-and-out in just 30 minutes. That is pretty awesome, if you ask me. Also, the people at the pharmacy all seemed friendly enough for me. They also seemed super patient having to deal with rude customers that weren't even there for Pharmacy services and, instead, were yelling things at them like, "What aisle is the face cream?" One woman even went to the counter and said, "You guys seem really busy, but can you tell me what glasses look better on my face?" She wasn't rude, but still...if you see that they are busy, maybe it isn't the best idea to ask them for style advice. read more
