Not sure why there are so many negative reviews of this store. This is one of the nicest Rite Aids in the Portland area, imho. Maybe I'm jaded because I lived in NE Portland for 18 years and in that part of town you have to step over people to enter the store. This store is clean, well stocked, organized and huge! Customer service is always friendly and fast enough. It's a Rite Aid, people! The Beauty section is vast, aisles and aisles stocked with everything you need. They have a great seasonal section and now with spring approaching, they are stocked with faux wicker chairs and tables plus whimsical garden art. Rite Aid always has the best price on my guilty pleasure, Dove dark chocolate miniatures; they run sales all of the time, 2 for $6. Today I bought two bags of the Easter egg shape. Also bought my favorite Revlon last all day lipstick, which actually lasts all day. Buy one get one 50% off. I always wait for these sales. Plenty of parking, drive through Pharmacy, next to Dollar Tree and across from Cedar Hills Crossing - all a plus in my book. read more

Was going to use this as my pharmacy but no one answers when you call during business hours so I'm finding a different place...

Customer service and being more efficient. We have been very patient with the service at this location- we understand there's shortage in staff & there are times when meds can't get refill on time however, we have refilled meds 4-5 days in advance AND the prescriptions aren't ready yet so we are having to wait. Either that or we get a text that refills are ready for pick up & when we arrive, there's an additional wait. Why is that? It is unacceptable especially if some meds are crucial for patients to have. I would not continue going to this location if you are refilling your meds. It should not take a whole week to refill something when the customers have refilled many days prior to give you time to refill their medications. Their phone service also sucks on top of that, we called in a few times just to make sure meds were finished before driving out there & no one answers the phone? What kind of service is that? This location has been very disappointing and frustrating to deal with. read more

The location of this is great and it seems to be the busiest one because of that. The line goes pretty fast though and it seems like the other people were doing the same thing - grabbing something needed to go quickly. So, its more like a convenience store really. You really are not going to get great customer service - just grab what you need and go for the most part. I have never used Rite Aide for prescriptions so I can't speak to that. read more

This review is for the pharmacy. I get it, this job probably is really, really freakin' hard right now and people get harder to deal with every day. So I'm sure most people working here have just about had it. But it often takes 3-4 days to get a prescription filled - which is a problem when you're on a medication that can't be refilled early, and shouldn't be skipped. The pharmacy never, EVER answers the phone. I have quite literally been trying since yesterday, and not once in at least 30 calls I've made have I gotten an answer (I have the flu I'm trying to be respectful and not go into the store). I have a prescription on file that I have to speak to the staff to have filled every month because automatic refills are not possible. Between the two issues described above, I've gone a week without my medication more than once. I know working with the public, with shortages, and without much thanks sucks, but this is just not OK. read more

I have been going to this Rite Aid for 20 years. In the last 6-12 months it has gone WAY downhill! This week my prescription was sent from my doctor to the pharmacy on 12/7 (Wednesday). By Saturday still no call it was ready so I went in to check. I was told they were busy and it would be ready in about two hours. Why it takes 4 days to fill a prescription is beyond me. This review is regarding the pharmacy: If I could give less than 1 star, I would! We have been a customer of this store for many years. However, over the last couple of years the service has continually gone down hill. For the past several months now, they just don't answer the phone when we call. I recently called prescriptions in about 7-8 days ago and they still have not all been filled. Other prescriptions I have called in 2 or 3 days ago are also still not done. I went into the store yesterday around noon to pick up the 11 prescriptions that are now way overdue, and only 1 was ready. I was told they weren't done because they were short handed, and couldn't get to them until today. I called this evening and had to select the option in the automated system to speak with the store manager, because again, the pharmacy would not answer the phone! The manager walked back and told the pharmacy that I was calling. I held for about 15 minutes and nobody from the pharmacy ever picked it up. The store manager finally got back on the phone with me and then walked back to the pharmacy again. Two of the prescriptions I called in still weren't done. The Pharmacist refused to fill them today and very flippantly said they would be done until tomorrow. I asked when they will be done tomorrow and he said he had no idea. His name is Shawn. I asked for his last name so I could call corporate and he refused to give it to me. He also refused to fill my prescriptions today and then hung up on me. They don't seem to care that people need prescriptions for a medical reason, sometimes even life-threatening. This is a very serious issue. read more

Then I get accused by the pharmacist of being mean to the staff? Mean? Absolutely never. Impatient, maybe. But, it's always a long wait whether for a script or vaccine. I scheduled a flu and covid vaccine in September, it took a full month to get in and then when I went in, they said you must either have insurance or pay $200. There was literally no mention whatsoever of any cost or requirement for insurance in the website when I booked. And the Asian lady in the pharmacy who "informed" me seemed very pleased at my dismay (miserable people who seem to loathe their jobs). Go elsewhere! read more

Pharmacy - I've been a customer for a few years and enjoyed my interactions with staff and they always did their best to efficiently fill prescriptions with a positive attitude. Over the past six months though, there has been dramatic turnover, especially at the pharmacist level. Sonya and Vesna's positive and professional attitude was contagious in the department, even during the worst of COVID. Wyatt came after Sonya left, and was again superb with a great touch of humor. All of a sudden, Vesna and Wyatt are gone, nobody is listed as pharmacist, there's different people there seemingly every visit, and the service has become atrocious. The one remaining awesome person in the operation is Kari, and she looks like she wants to be anywhere but there recently. All customers are pissed, and the wear on the remaining pharmacy employees is palpable. So, Rite Aid, figure out what you did to chase Sonya, Vespa, and Wyatt away from managing the department, find a way to make Kari feel valued and supported (if she leaves, it's the last straw for me), and fix what is obviously - read the damn reviews - a disaster for your customers and the mental well-being of your staff. read more

Not happy with this location and their business practices - seems like they give benefit of the doubt to scammers while good customers suffer from lack of service - perplexing? I will stick with the one on Scholls Ferry as this one just seems sketchy, poorly run and disorganized. Don't know why this store is so bad compared to the others, maybe corporate ought to keep an eye on this location. Do not choose this location to get your COVID test. The two times my family has tested here, there was something wrong with the specimen. First attempt was "specimen spilled during transport" and the second result was "undetermined result" due to the specimen AGAIN! The Pharmacy staff do not seem to be competent enough to handle their specimens. This required me to have to re-test a THIRD time at a different location. And this third location got it right the first time without specimen issues. read more

I live super close and often go here to pick up various sundries. I always get good services and the cashiers are always friendly and nice. I also appreciate their drive up pharmacy and the pharmacists there are very helpful in answering questions about over the counter stuff, and will even get out from behind the counter to help you find things. I avoid Rite Aid whenever possible, almost entirely because of the store layout. Instead of a standard parallel aisles plan, Rite Aids often use this peculiar diagonal chaos that gives me a headache. All of the aisles are different lengths and i find it very disorienting. They also have a tendency to organize things in a rather baffling fashion. Items that share an aisle in every other drugstore ever are half a store apart here, so you're left wandering in zig-zag paths staring up at the signs trying to figure out how you've possibly not been able to find cough drops even though you swear you've looked everywhere. read more

This is unfortunately my closest pharmacy and I do not use it. From making my son wait for his inhaler 45 minutes when he was sick with bronchitis in the lobby to not having any consistency in their merchandise. The store is always empty and rarely can you find someone to assist you without an attitude. I will be ordering online the one product that they carried for years and randomly discontinued unbeknownst to the pharmacist working. Never going back. I rarely frequent Rite Aid. Last time I was here I was searching for DEET mosquito repellant for the Caribbean, justifying that it was better to risk a short term DEET exposure than risk contracting Chikungunya. They had exactly what I was looking for. My most recent trip to Rite Aid occurred after searching for USP certified vitamins at New Seasons and Super Supplements and finding nothing. I was happy to find Nature Made products at Rite Aid. Also, they happened to be BOGO 1/2 off. Nice, I can pick up B9 and B12 at the same time and save money. I was also easily distracted by their 2/$5 hard-shell Easter egg chocolates. I noticed at the register a coupon for a free Redbox rental. Since I had been actively refusing to pay any money to watch Frozen, I still hadn't seen it up until two weeks ago. This Rite Aid and their free coupons let me continue to be confused about the 'Let It Go' obsession. Solid job, Cedar Hills Rite Aid. Guess you're not so bad after all. read more

Seriously, was someone drunk when they developed the store layout? I've been to other Rite-Aids that have this same star shaped layout, and every time I think I seriously can't imagine someone green lighting this. Aisles go every which way - like someone stood in the middle and spun around saying "put an aisle here! And one here! And sideways over here, then diagonal down this way!" It is seriously pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey shopping. Items are not arranged in any logical fashion. I wandered around for 5 minutes looking for scotch tape, which of course was near aspirin but not so much near the household items. Got it. The cashiers and pharmacy staff are all quite friendly, but no one is ever on the floor to assist. So weird. It's a convenient location for me but I think I'd rather drive further to a Walgreens or even Fred Meyer. read more

its done down hill since all the normal staff at the pharmey left all at once. it gets frustaing. i have an cat who gets his meds here. and i had to ask my vet to make sure i have some exreas incase they get behind. one of the meds they can. but his main they cant. i did get three months worth on that one so i should be good this summer now. i have tryed to call mine in and they dont pick up , say they will fill ir or have to call the doc to refill it. i waited for a bit nothing. called again they said there call the doctor. which after 3 more days i didnt hear anything so i called my do . and they said they didnt call so my doc called it in. hopi g it in today or tomorrow if there closed due to the holiday. just is frustaing. and please dont tell me to call so in so doesnt help. so please just get all your ducks in a row. and i]fix what ever happen to make thw walker rd pharmey staff leave. and see if there come back. or find staff so we all can be helped better and things filled in on time read more

This rating is for the pharmacy! Prescription was filled and then insurance was not on file. It's state insurance and easy to look up instead of being helpful and just look it up the pharmacist insisted cash payment. My insurance is state insurance for a reason. I was told they couldn't look it up.(which I never had an issue before)state never sent my baby's card so I didn't have the information. Pharmacist also stated they could not call the doctors office and my doctor told me tHey do all the time. Needless to say the doctor had to call and help get my daughters medicine. read more

I'd recommend not ordering photos from this location. I received poor customer service when I went to pick-up my developed photos. Usually, you walk in and give them your name, but instead she asked me multiple questions as if they didn't have them, like "When did you order them? How did you order them? Did you select this location?" Also, I ordered 5x7 photos that were printed on full size sheets. The manager became involved and he told me I had to go home and cut out each one myself and that they would not do it for me. read more

Awesome, helpful friendly staff. Chad the pharmacist was late in closing down the pharmacy cause i really needed a medication and came in right before he was going to close and he filled it anyways. Pam and Kay helped me do my x-mas shopping and were funny, friendly, and will be the reason I go back there. This was my first time ever to this store. read more

This Rite Aid store has done a good job every time. If the pharmacist has to go to lunch then she tells the people. Everyone needs lunch. One day I had to hang around for about an hour and 15 minutes, but they told me first. I didn't have a problem because they told me. The pharmacy has been great to me over the years and definitely gets 5 stars. The store - The Rite Aid at 12575 SW Cornell Rd is always clean. 4 stars. The staff greets me when i walk in. The only things I have ever noticed lately is that yes minimum wage has gone up to $12 per hour, but they really need to hire a customer service person inside the store. Someone to ask people if they are finding everything. If I look around i usually don't see anybody. They ask if I found everything at the register, but it is a bad time if people are behind you to say "oh i need this." They usually only have 1 or maximum 2 people at the register at the same time. I think if they hired one more person to check if price tags are correct, check to see if all products are on the shelves and really engage the customers in sales they could make a lot more money. The person could help in vitamin purchases, makeup purchases, perfume, take old price tags off on time and make sure the store is really straightened up. I also see people browsing the wine aisle. They could definitely make more money inside the store and that could make the difference and put another person to work. Otherwise I love the store and they have really good deals. I have a 20% off preferred customer status and I love it. The staff is very friendly. They like to chat. They have great coupons too! This is the best Rite Aid in Town. I have been a customer for almost 5 years now. I got my flu shot there this year and only had a bit of a runny nose and felt a bit odd and my arm got really sore, but the experience of the flu shot is that they have to inject you part of the virus for it to have an effect, so I'm ok because I'd rather have 72 hours of not feeling so good than a month. People on the bus and train cough and don't cover their mouths, it can be really disgusting. Sometimes I put on a mask if I notice a bunch of sick people are in an enclosed space. I just hate the flu bug. Thanks for vaccinating me. My insurance covered it too! read more

After utilizing this Rite Aid to fill prescriptions for a year, I now refuse to use any Rite Aid. Has nothing to do with the prices and nothing to do with the stock. I had several instances of dropping off a script, being told 1 hour for pick up, coming back in an hour, and have it not be done. Not a big deal if it had stopped there. I would ask how long again. An hour they said. I would then come back an hour later. Still not done. I came back the next day. Still not done. It is the most ridiculous thing I've encountered at a pharmacy. The icing on the cake was when they overcharged me for a prescription, I contacted my insurance company, who told me to go back with the receipt for a refund. They refused and said the money was long gone, there is nothing they could do about it. So never again. Stay away from this Rite Aid. Only frustrating things happen here. read more

I went to a RA located in Beaverton Oregon, 12575 SW Walker Rd on July 20th 2017, about 8:50pm because I know the Pharmacy is from 9am-9pm, shows on the door sign and online Pharmacy hour till 9pm. I went in with an urgent need for a special mouth wash. I had done a biopsy, painful mouth. the Pharmacy manger, Soraya Ghring, informs that she will not take any after 8:45pm I beg her as these are just mouth wash and a toothpaste. She smiles and asks me to go another RA in Tanasboure. I pointed out the door sign shows Pharmacy till 9pm. She smiles and asks me to leave. I ask to speak with the store manager, Zeek Martinas, he speaks with Soraya, but can't change her mind. read more

The store itself is horrible, poorly run and over priced. Yet and still I absolutely LOVE the pharmacy! Excellent and very helpful pharmacists who patiently answer your questions, a great staff. What a joke of a drug store. Was at the Clackamas location and made the mistake of getting switched here. Absolute joke of a Rite Aid. Qualifications for getting hired here. Stand on one foot and wave... YOUR HIRED lol. Switched scripts from Costco 4 days prior and spent 30 min on the phone going over each one. I go there and they look at me like I'm speaking an other language. And there easy fast drive through. Waited over 30 min in a line where i was the only one. Finally went in and they said my meds went to another Rite Aid i've never even been to, so left and called them and said i'm on my way and they had no clue what the mother heck i was talking about. My advise if you have to go to this Rite Aid, just go without your meds. Horrible awful location. read more

Today, the very pleasant pharmacy technician suggested that I return in 30 minutes to pick up two prescriptions for my wife. 40 minutes later, the Pharmacy Manager explained to me that because she has no control over computer malfunctions, my order was not ready. I asked how often this happens and she replied "not very, and that most customers were understanding." I received my wife's prescription 15 minutes later and considered such an explanation "par for the Rite Aid course." I suggested to another pleasant pharmacy technician that she ask the manager to read recent Google reviews to better assess customer understanding. I only shop at Rite Aid because it is close and an easy bicycle ride. I prepare with deep breathing for the various reasons including low staffing and antiquated machines why prescriptions are not ready or why there is difficulty in securing them. About 50% of the time when I call by phone, no pharmacy staff picks up and the call is recycled to the computer. If upper management wanted to create better service, they could update machines and assign more pharmacy technicians to help customers. Since that does not occur, the serenity prayer opportunity remains. read more

Had a prescription sent after hours 5/31/16 my husband went to pick it up 6/1/16 and took 2 hours for it to be ready. That is totally unacceptable. We can drop off prescription at target and it is done in 30 minutes, will never go for location convenience again. read more

Pharmacy staff are not very friendly or helpful. I sat in my car at the drive up window for almost an hour total before finally going inside. I first drove up and waited behind another car for 15 minutes. That person talked to the woman working the window numerous times then drove away without seeming to conduct any business. After they drove away, I pulled up and pushed the call button. I waited for over 25 minutes as the first person at the window. A car that had pulled behind me decided the wait was too long and drove around me through the drop off window. I saw the driver walk up to the counter inside and be helped immediately. At that point, I went inside as well as it seemed I could not get any service at the window. I didn't get upset until after waiting over 45 minutes with over half of that as the first person, only to see another customer go inside and be helped immediately. This type of service is incompetence at its finest. Good going Rite Aid. read more

I am not the type of person to complain or talk poorly about someone else but my experience at this pharmacy was outrageous. Every employee at this Rite Aid has been perfectly nice except for the pharmacist. I called to refill two prescriptions. I talked to one of the pharmacy assistants who told me that one prescription had expired, and she had no record of my other prescription. This didn't make any sense considering I had refilled both prescriptions many times before at this pharmacy. She put me on hold to check further into it, when I was taken off hold, it was the pharmacy manager. He said "We've never filled that prescription here, you need to call your doctor, have a nice day" and then proceeded to hang up on me as I was trying to talk. I then tried calling back and of course they failed to answer. I then went into the store to speak with him and told him I didn't appreciate being hung up on and I asked him if that was his way of dealing with customers. His version of that phone call was much different and he took no accountability for the way he treated me. He was unapologetic and extremely condescending. He told me he was going to print out all of my prescriptions since I started going there and he printed out the prescriptions of a completely different person. So not only was he wrong about never filling my prescription, he was showing me someone else's private information which I'm sure is frowned upon, if not illegal, in his industry. I talked to the Rite Aid Store manager, who was extremely polite and apologetic, and said that he would pass the complaint along to the pharmacist's manager. He could visibly see how upset I was about the entire interaction so I hope that the complaint gets passed along. No person deserves to be treated like that and I think it's only fair if other's are made aware of it. read more
