Prices have exploded recently at GO! Produce is especially high priced. This is more than just…read moreregular inflation, since almost every other grocery store charges less for produce. Examples: a 2 pound head of cabbage is priced at $2.99/lb at GO (4-26) = $6 for a head of cabbage!? Same size head of cabbage at Trader Joe's is $2 total. A plastic box of grapes was over $10 at GO, while it was about $6 at Freddies. A little bag of 4 Roma tomatoes was $4 at GO, but just $.29 apiece at Trader Joe's. Protein powder that I used to get regularly at GO, went up 20% in one week. Almost everything at grocery outlet has gone up far more than inflation. Still a good place to buy bread, ice, cream, tortillas, and other items, but I seldom go anymore because of their outrageous prices. So disappointing - Grocery Outlet used to be such a great place to find bargains, now it's just Grocery Overpriced.

They got the best candy in the world here, nothing better than a Joyride. Note: Oregon law says pumping your own gas is not illegal anymore so please make time to do. I still like the idea of others pumping your gas but gone are those days. It was what made Oregon different from others.

My boyfriend needed an energy drink fix before continuing our trek out to Lincoln City after not having one all day. Seeing that this was a 7-Eleven, I also decided that on top of an energy drink, I also wanted a slurpee (no trip to 7-Eleven is complete without a slurpee!). My favorite energy drink brand is Ghost, but they had so many energy drink selections! My boyfriend just started drinking the Monster strawberry flavored energy drink, according to him it's his new favorite, and he was stoked to see that they had them in stock. I got myself the Ghost blue raspberry energy drink. The slurpee machine was tucked away in the back corner of the store, where I chose cherry, one of my favorite slurpee flavors. The service here was pretty decent. The guy behind the counter rang us up quickly and we were on our way. The store was clean as well.

I usually park a little ways out to avoid the congestion. On this particular day, I left home 15 minutes earlier to meet friends at a restaurant on Walker Rd. After lunch, I was planning on joining a friend at the gym. I had lost my lock, so I wanted to pick one up on the way to the restaurant. I didn't have a lot of leeway, but I thought this would be a quick in and out. When I entered the side entrance, I saw a cashier, and I thought that would be perfect for checking out on the way out. I was having a hard time locating the Hardware section. I didn't see anyone to ask..so I just wandered in a direction I thought it would be. I finally found the Hardware section, but didn't see anything saying locks. Again, no one to ask, so I wandered the aisles. I finally found the combination locks. I made a beeline for the cashier I saw when entering the store. There weren't any customers in her area, she was having a conversation with a fellow employee. I walked over to the counter and the other employee left. I saw a closed sign on the counter, so I asked if she was closed, and she said yes. So I started to walk away to search for an open cashier. As I started to walk away, I looked back and there wasn't a closed sign on the register on the other side. So I asked her if this side was open and she said yes. So I said, OK. And she asked me "what was that?" And I said, "OKAY!" Why didn't she let me know that she could help me on the other side?? And the way she asked me, "What was that?" Was said with an attitude. So I said "OKAY" with an attitude back!

Bottle selling is near the garden center exit. The store is super well decorated with lots of cute things to see.

This is our local WinCo and I like it better than some of the other ones around town. I think the…read morekey is knowing when to go. Mornings are great, not too busy, as are late evenings. I appreciate their hours, they've saved us in a pinch. One time my partner was having a mild allergic reaction and we were out of benedryl. It was like 1am. Regular pharmacies are closed, but WinCo saves the day! The aisles are stocked well and I don't get that chaotic feeling when I go to other WinCos. All in all a nice one, no complaints here!

This new location is much larger. The increase in space means they can carry more items and shopping is more pleasant. When I stopped by today, I was greeted and offered assistance. Fun idea but horribly disappointing and felt like I overpaid for what I got. $12 for a can of white claw, one playing card set (this brand comes in a set of two from dollar tree), few plastic shot glasses, and a buzz ball. Not even a shooter or hard liquor to go with the shot glasses. Felt excited when I first bought this but then terribly let down. (Edit: now that the disappointment has subsided, this is just be my own experience, maybe some of the other grab bags could be better.) I would possibly go back for the other alcohol selection and proximity, but I wouldn't buy or recommend there grab bags.
