Pharmacy efficiency in meeting the refill timeline and providing accurate info on delay as well as alternative . I have been waiting as. Diabetic for my insulin and apparently they are not ordering it and providing lies that has been order or in process'! Waiting 7 day on last 2 days and clerk says no record and needs to be ordeeed as no record! I ask for the pharmacist who seems to be unbothered that as a diabetic I had only 2-3 days left of insulin. He kept smiling and nodding as if he did not understand English! He says will order eight then himself at 9am on 2/5 for 3/6. I advised I will be back. I have been going through this since 3/2 abs it is worst! Rite Aid has always been my go reliable but lately it has been crap! Panam store has recovered. I NEED MY INSULIN Now! Called to get a refill on 6/6 (a week in advance) and was told it could not be requested until 6/12. Called back today (6/12) and took 3 calls to get someone to finally answer. I was told it could not be filled til 6/12, so I remind her that's today. I am then told to wait until 6/14! I ask why she told me 6/12, as well as another staff member last week, and she says "the computer is wrong". WTF. I'm not using insurance and am going by what the told me. This review is in regards to our experience at the the pharmacy this afternoon. We came into this store for the flu shots at about 100. They said the pharmacist who gives shots was at lunch. We were given paperwork to fill out. We filled out the paperwork, gave the lady our insurance card and waited. At about 2 00 the pharmacist called us to the counter to tell us the paperwork was complex because we had never had vaccines there before. She asked us to come back in one hour. We came back just a little after 3 00 and waited some more. At about 3 15 a lady called us to the counter to tell us the shot will be $48. I guess they are not contracted with our insurance company. I just paid over $1053 for this month's insurance so I will not be paying 98 dollars for shots that have been fully covered for many years. I have no problem with Rite Aid for not doing business with Blue Cross Blue Shield. But damn- don't waste over two hours of our time before telling us. We walked a few hundred feet to the west and walked into Vons and left Vons with our shots by 3 45. Professional and timely service was provided by Vons, something Rite Aid would know nothing about. read more

Store Clean , friendly employees, they are higher than Walmart an Target but when do sales their sales are really good . They have the best ice cream , I usually take mine home in a gallon , but they do have it where you can get it on the cone . Not a lot of places do that anymore . . read more

Came here today just because I was on a walk and I said why not. Walked in a bright store with Christmas items up and on sale. I was looking for the Halloween section and found it everything 75 percent off, I bought a couple of items one being Charlie Brown Christmas tree of course with snoopy and Woodstock decal to place on my windows at home imcoming back for the 3 feet Charlie Brown and snoopy. The store had a great selection of snacks and makeup. I love the fact they still have a thrifty ice cream part. Thirty ice cream always been the bees knees come on it's throw back . Christmas stuff is on sale 50 percent off so why not stop in. Store is clean staff is friendly. read more

I have never used the pharmacy here to comment on that but I find this drug store convenient if I happen to be grocery shopping next door and need something from Health and Beauty. There can be some decent sales here. (I find often that cereal is cheaper on sale at drug stores than at grocery stores!) Personally, I find this particular store hard to find things in even though the aisles are somewhat marked. Staff too, never very friendly at the cash and unlike other Rite Aids, not one employee ever here has ever said hello or asked if we need help finding anything, on the floor. That said, it is what it is and the most important things to me for a drug store are selection (brand), price (sales) and cleanliness (a must!). So, 3 stars for that! read more

I have lived across the street from this business for over 20 years, and the location is perfect, but the business is not; in fact, based on my experience, I cannot believe that they are still in business at all. I often joked to my friends that its the slowest store on earth, in fact, I have mutually had that joke with the one other customer in line. If I enter the check out and there are two people before me, its at least 20 minutes. If I enter the check out, and nobody is in front of me, its at least 20 minutes, because nobody is at the register. I stopped using the pharmacy years ago because they never cared if they had your prescription in stock, even though you had it every month for years. The staff is rude and acts like there is no other store to shop at. I don't understand why anyone would shop at this Rite Aid when there is a Vons next door with everything and more than they have to offer. You would think that the Von's is bigger, and Rite Aid would be more convenient, but think again; I don't ever plan to shop at this Rite Aid again. read more

I no longer use this location because I moved, but back when I used to I never had a bad experience. The location was great. I never dealt with a rude employee. Cashiers and pharmacists were always friendly and professional. The establishment was always clean and very well stocked. They also have drive up location in the back to pick up medications. Only reason I never liked it was because it did not have a window were you can look in. read more

My 4 year old dropped his ice cream cone on the way out. The staff was so sweet and rushed to clean up the mess and replace his ice cream. Things like this make a difference. This will now be ghe Rite Aid of choice for their excellent customer service! read more

One of my two favorite Rite Aid stores in Bakersfield. It always seems that this Rite Aid is cleaner and more organized than any other in town. Even though the Marketplace can get busy in the evening, there is usually no long lines here. It's great to come here to eat some really good Thrifty ice cream after watching a movie at Edwards theater. The Thrifty ice cream here is much cheaper than Coldstone and Baskin Robbins. The Thrifty ice cream is also just as good if not better than the competition here. read more

I forget how nice it is to need something and be able to park right outside the store, walk in, find what you need, pay and leave. This is exactly how this Rite Aid is. They have all the basics and there is never anyone in line. We stopped in on our last visit and I realized that they sell Thrifty ice cream which took me back to my youth. So, of course I ordered up a rainbow sherbert, but it was no longer $.25 for a cone. What a blast from the past! read more

The wait is always sooooo long to pick up a prescription. The tech, Irene, is less than pleasant every time I've gone in there. I was just there again today and had to wait over 40 minutes for them to slap a sticker on a box of eye drops and a bottle of antibiotics. Disappointed. My wife just had surgery and I dropped off her prescription for pain and they said to wait 30 minutes. After sitting in the chair in front of the window 35 min I go to the window and they tell me that they forgot to start on it and the pharmacist is about to leave for lunch in 20 min so I'm going to have to wait until I get back. Unfortunately....a very similar situation happened to me here before. Might be time to move on to another company. read more

The ice cream counter is good (Thrifty ice cream, yay childhood nostalgia), but other than that, I don't think I've ever bought anything here. The Vons next door has a pharmacy, and just about anything else you can get here, so I don't see the point. read more

I was walking around looking for the right shade of foundation and was followed by the security guard which made me highly uncomfortable and then when checking out was treated rudely by the employee. They used a very rude/disgusted tone with me and they were very impatient. I probably won't bring my business here again. read more
