I love ritas! The food is good, service is great and good drinks! I highly recommend! It does get crowded and seating is hard to find. I have had to ask to share a table with people a few times, which is fun! New friends!!! I have eaten here twice in the past year. The first time was great. Good tacos. Reasonably priced margarita pitchers (which is why we came back). The second time we went, we ordered 2 margarita pitchers. We did not look at the price of the pitchers because we remembered them being reasonably priced. When the check came at the end of our meal, we thought it had to be a mistake. They charged us $100 for each margarita pitcher. Yes, $100 each pitcher. Our bill was $250 for the following items: 11 tacos 2 margarita pitchers When confronting our waiter about the bill, he was extremely rude. Unless you like unbelievably over priced alcohol and a rude staff, I would not recommend going here. We will never be back. read more

We went for lunch this weekend.. This place has gone downhill over the years. I had 2 fish tacos. They were dry and defiantly purchased not made in-house. The fish didn't even fill up the soft taco shell. Just crumbled up, Gordon's from the grocery store. My wife had 2 chicken tacos.. Her's very dry, no seasoning. Alright, so let me preface this with the food is fine. However, my brother and I came into this establishment for dinner this evening. My brother had some tacos and the two of us had 2 margs a piece. Seems pretty straight forward... We are getting tired, so we go to close out and the check says 5 margs and 4 tacos. Now, we just clarify with the server that it should be only 4 margaritas, and the bartender chimes in, "no, he had 3" pointing at my brother, "he had 2 at the table and came up and bought a 3rd from me at the bar." I told him he was wrong and that we only had 2 a piece, there were 4 glasses on the table he bussed, and plus, my brother CAN'T physically drink 3 margs due to medical reasons and has issues with liquor and frankly I'm amazed he had 2. So the bartender shrugs us off and says we're wrong, and my brother gives up his card, not wanting to make a scene. The server snidely comments "You hammered, bro?" Obviously not giving a damn what his customers say, or wanting to give even halfway decent customer service. An extra $8 is not a big deal at all though... But, I've worked and managed restaurants for years and my brother has been a bartender for 5 years and as we walked to my car we couldn't even fathom why people in that industry would be so blatantly bad at serving customers and not even toy with the idea that they could have made a mistake and miscounted. As a local that used to recommend the spot for a good happy hour, I will never point another tourist here again unless they're jerks who should be put through terrible service and only okay tacos. read more

Being from Texas my wife and I were intrigued by how good a margarita we could find in Breckenridge. Well, all I can say is that the margaritas were incredible tasting, with a heavy pour :). Our bartender has been there many years and clearly enjoys his job! He can also discuss the various nuances of the many types and vintages of tequila on the wall. While we sat there the tacos menu grabbed our eyes. These are not "street" tacos, but tasty, design your own creations. We tried several varieties and all were served very quickly and tasted great. We will definitely return the next time we are in the area and can recommend Rita's without any reservations, no pun intended, of any kind. read more

When ordering, we were instructed to fill out our own order on a sheet and after doing so and not having the server return, had to bring our order to the bartender... Ok not a big deal again, but... When the "chicken tacos" arrived I was shocked! Nacho cheese from a hot cheese machine, the guacamole tasted like processed mayo, the"chicken" was clearly from a can, and the corn tortilla looked like a moldy slice of bread. BIG DEAL.
