I've been smoking and shopping locally for cannabis for the last year at least. In my experience, rise is a joke for dispensaries everywhere-- don't even bother at this place. The bud tenders at Rise don't care about their job, they're straight lazy! They want you to go straight to the computers and order or do an online order because they are ill informed on their own products. When I first started going to the store there was an attentive staff member named Steven, he was my main. But now I heard he's gone????? I have not have a genuine experience with one person that works there BUT that guy. Your loss. Sweet Flower is far superior when considering where to buy dro from whilst in Pasadena. The kicker for this post was that Rise has a wonderful new "point system" no one EVER BOTHERED TO TELL ME ABOUT. APparEntLY the only way to actually receive your rewards from such point system is if you scan a QR code BEFORE every purchase. Why does it take me asking about my points for someone behind the counter to consider that I may want rewards? Why won't they do their job, and idk, ask about my points, even? What happened to work ethic and Trying? I don't see any of those bud tenders ever actually attending to the people nor care if they get their money's worth. To the man with long dark hair, your curtness did a job well done. In any sense, I'm never shopping here again. That point system bs was not cool and I've missed out on a LOT of rewards because of the incompetence of a few people working at this dispensary. read more

It's a nice dispensary inside but you can only order on the iPads, then stand in line to pay and pick it up. There are 2 waiting lines and the online orders get priority. Overall, The in-store experience isn't great. Save time and order online. read more

I can't believe how much change this place has gone through, this past month alone has been such a terrible experience. I haven't experience a place so unorganized with the menu always being wrong and not being in stock ( even if it's in the menu) I think whoever is picking the product is just lazy and must not want to restock. I asked for a manager and he was not in store, next up was the assistant manager (they said her name was Mimi?) when they called she took almost 20 mins. And was not helpful whatsoever Not sure what happened with this new change in management. But I won't be coming here anymore. The value of costumer experience needs improvement. read more

I have made this my go-to location! The service is always on point, and with assistance provide to by Izy, it is worth, the added value and trip, compared to delivery, which they provide as well. The selection is must better than most dispensaries and more diverse than places like Stiizy. This used to be my go to spot but lately the service has been lacking a lot. On my last visit I was never once greeted or asked if I needed any assistance. Selection is overall not bad and is like most shops in the area however I placed an order on one of their iPads only to be told at the counter that it was suddenly out of stock, cool fine but when attempting to ask one of their budtenders for another recommendation they seemed less than thrilled to help and rather kind of annoyed and was also told by the "manager" (long black hair, female) that ultimately is what up to me what to get in a rude tone. Lots of issues with their inventory on the tablets, short handed, and just overall terrible service. When I asked one of the employees who was the manager on duty to complain. They flat out told me that both "Mimi" and "Chris" don't care and can barely do their jobs. This place use to be amazing in the past and now the energy is weird and uncomfortable. This place is a massive rip off, they never have any deals worth looking at or coming here for. They eliminated First time discounts for the new person I brought in. Sadly their point system is largely nonexistent and they are always out of stock on most of their sleep stuff. The employees don't care either. Zero stars. I tried several times but I'm never coming back. The last 3 times I came here I felt ripped off so this is the last time I ever come in. The taxes are nearly 20 percent on top of their terrible prices for plain CBD products which are usually much cheaper since they have no "high" Go anywhere but here unless you don't want a specific product that they advertise that they have only to wait in a long, incredibly slow line with employees and don't care how unpleasant that is. I've been coming here for a couple years and everything's always been fine. But service on my most recent visit was horrible. First, I was ignored at the door and had to yank on it a couple times before security let me in. I was at the front of the line for picking up orders and was ignored again, this time by the cashiers. When I was at the front, I went up to one and they told me to get back since it wasn't my turn. Despite being the first one in line. Then one cashier argued, saying they "never told me to get back in line". I've spent hundreds here over the years, but after today, I'm never coming back again. read more

Absolutely my new favorite dispensary! There is free parking in the connected garage, entrance on the side street. Just be sure to get it validated before leaving. Walking into the store, it's gorgeous! Huge, clean, well organized, well decorated - just very inviting & welcoming. Then the staff made it feel even more homey. Every.single.person was so darn nice! From the staff with her Aries dad to the dude giving me Kanha S'mores tips to movie recommendations from another lady! Y'all are the true shining stars at this dispensary. Assistance and suggestions galore from them all! Product selection is superb, too, with pretty good prices on things. There was a 25% off edibles over the weekend which is a bomb ass sale on top of their already very competitive pricing. The only thing missing is drinks! Went there awhile ago and bud tender gave me the wrong stuff. I didn't noticed until I went to my car I came right back to let them know what happened and they were unable to fix the mistake that they did, they told me some BS excuse to why they couldn't fix it. To make up for the mistake Manager gave me free stuff and next time I came back I will get a discount for the mistake they did. Well thank you for making that mistake! We lost our home to the Eaton Fire and had to go in to pick up the very basics since we lost everything. Miki was so understanding; it brought tears to my eyes. We tried to tip only her, but she said they all share the tips, and that any one of them would have helped us out. This is one of the reasons why we love coming here. Been coming to this dispensary for a year and loved the service, so this review is for yesterdays service. I have never been sent away from the counter to go place my order online, when there was zero line. I was basically scolded by the person helping me, in a condescending way. I've never seen her there before. It was an older women with a very raspy voice. Absolutely rude. I brought a friend and was excited to show him the dispensary and she ruined the whole experience. This is for all of you that don't know what weed prices should be. The only good thing about this place is the convenience. You should NEVER pay more than $10 for a 1 gram pre roll. You can buy one at stiiizy for 3 DOLLARS!!! And it's good weed. Obviously not the cream of the crop. But for that price?! Today I paid $13(like an idiot) for 1 pre roll .75 grams. One of the workers kept on sighing rudely if I had a question. This happened three times in one visit. She did not answer my questions and kept on referring me to continue my purchase online despite my questions not being answered. The products are limited, over priced and (using the employee's words) labeled incorrectly. You can't check out the products in the dispensary, rather you are told to order from online. Overall great dispensary! The online order process was easy and when I went to pick up my order it was a quick trip in and out. There was plenty of street parking outside in the shade, and the person who assisted me was attentive and helpful. They even let me bring my pup in! The selection is varied, and they have most of the usual stuff I go for. I placed my order online to pick up in the store. However, upon arrival, I made additional purchases. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Orders are placed at a kiosk on a tablet. You wait for your order to be prepared then pay for it up front. Upon entering Essence, I did not smell weed! This was very welcoming. Product is stored in back away from customers; obviously for security purposes. Devices are on display and the dispensary was very clean. This is the best looking and smelling dispensary I have every visited (I have been to a few on my visits to California). Be sure to bring cash because that is all they accept. It had been a while since I'd been back and the name has changed but apparently it's the same owners? In any case, the interior is still pretty much the same, and if it's possible, the staff is even MORE friendly than ever. They are SO very nice and welcoming from the person that checks your ID at the door to the people that are there to help consult on your purchases, to the cashiers. I am so impressed. Steve was the one that helped me with my purchase and he was so knowledgeable and kind - it felt like I was hanging with a friend who was showing me the ropes. I'm a couple weeks late to review! This place is similar to an Apple Store but cannabis edition as Marcus called it. I loved the relaxing vibe and calming atmosphere. All the budtenders looked so happy to serve and educate their customers. We are originally from the Sacramento area and we hadn't seen anything like this location before so my sister and I were a bit confused when we went up to counter. We got the pleasure of getting Marcus. I told him I have a bit of social anxiety and would need something to keep me calm, awake but also relaxed. What a great dispensary. It is so clean and modern looking. They have such a large selection of products. Plus everyone that works there is really nice and helpful it's a great vibe in the store. They have great deals and discounts for first timers. This dispensary is a little different from others in that all of the product is in glass cases. You don't physically pull the product of the shelf and go pay instead you order from a computer screen and your products are brought up front, then you pay.
