But once again I have an issue with entitled Staten Island white girls who act like they are above serving Latino men. You know, Latin men also have a right to shop at the mall! The gate keeping attitude some of these employees have is shocking. Upon visiting this location yesterday one of the employees, happened to be a caucasian young girl who knew nothing about archangels and sigils. Everytime I'd ask her a question she seemed disgusted and like I was inconveniencing her. I ended up speaking with a young man who assisted me with purchasing dragon's blood incense and he was pleasant during the interaction. I despise Gen Z and their attitude. I don't owe these lil white girls in Staten Island anything. It's not good enough to have a job. Being able to have proper communication with the public is extremely important but to do so you need to put your egos and biases aside, especially in a metaphysical store, where a smorgasbord of spiritual items are provided for various practices. If the female employee is reading this, get over yourself! Your bigotry shines and it's unpleasant in this day and age. Look around you, girl, businesses are shutdown from left to right and workers are losing their jobs. But I guess you don't care, since you think your special. This is another business I will sadly not be visiting. Thank goodness for online shopping, am I right?!

I have been to other hobby lobby locations .. first time to this one . Everytime I go to hobby lobby , I see some really good stuff on sale . Today we saw some good deals on home decor and canvas paints. Picked up few home decors . This is similar to home goods but better in some products . I was looking for some products - shadow boxes etc and I was going around . Wish there were clear markers or boards showing the product names (arts and crafts etc) like they have in other shops like Costco . There were also very less persons around to help. We found it atlast .. good products though. Lots of parking outside . Fantastic location. Right on rt 1 .. close to Menlo Park mall etc. good experience overall..

This is pretty much a southern/midwest Michael's with a shot testosterone. They have all the crafty kind of stuff your mom, grandmom, and/or wife will love. Need things for your childs report? They've got it. They also have a health dose of western cowboy themed and Jesus loving decor (nothing wrong with either it's just noticeably more then you've probably ever seen in any store in NJ so it really sticks out). The shot of testosterone comes from the jock, greaser, and geek decor. Maybe its to get men in the door (a demographic I feel is mostly ignored in these type of stores) but Lobby has a bunch of pictures, tin signs and other things featuring superheroes, sporting teams and automotive brands. They have lots of cool things to hang in your man cave. From retro looking Texaco signs, paintings of the Batman, and framed pics of Ali (to name a few). We came in looking for a corkboard and chalkboard and they delivered. They had a bunch of options and some had frames or were part of more elaborate hanging items. We ended up getting a preframed corkboard with a unframed chalkboard (that we bought a frame for [from Hobby Lobby]). I wasn't expecting much (thinking it would be just a Michael's clone) but I left impressed and actually liked the store a lot. P.S. log onto the website (from your smartphone) to access a (apparently reoccurring) 40% off one item coupon.

During my recent visit to Red Bank, I was wandering around the area off the main drag at Broad Street and this store front caught my eye. It is hard to say what fires one's brain sometimes. I love all types of shops, but when I see a bright, light drenched shop with lots of white and wood, something just fires up my interest. You can see photos of the shop on their site (https://www.shopatforge.com/) to get a sense of what I mean. The store caught my eye and I had to check it out! Inside is a spacious shop with shelves to the left and right and a large island in the middle with all sorts of curated gifts laid out on tables. There are descriptions on every item, which is great because sometimes you see things at these shops and it's hard to tell just what you're looking at. Other times there are items that you just latch onto. There were all sorts of items ranging from soaps, to shampoos, to kitchen ware to an Astrology journal. The common theme was that everything felt elegant and worthy of adding to your home or being a gift. No surprise, as the owner carefully curates everything herself. I wound up picking up a "bag in a bag", a collapsible bag that can fit inside your coat pocket or a side bag. I also picked up some nice hand soaps from Japan. I was told that during my visit the stock in the store was relatively low after the holidays, so I look forward to going back when the shelves and table are more filled with lovely products. Forge is a beautiful shop with a very cool owner and is worth a visit, check it out!
