To this day, when you shop or donate at Out of the Closet, 96 cents of every dollar made goes to AIDS Healthcare Foundation's HIV prevention and treatment services. That's why the walls are painted and there's signage indicating they have high-quality HIV testing services. Now you know. Solid mission, and it sounds like they are doing good work. It makes you feel a little better about spending your money here. Personally, I also like that they are better organized, and have a better selection (one non-hipster's opinion) than some of the competition in the general area, like Buffalo Exchange. There's a nice book section (I like to read!) funkier clothes (I'm not at a thrift store for basics), and the t-shirts are organized by color, as they should be. The prices are occasionally insane, at least from the perspective of someone who doesn't pay $150 for jeans ever, least of all at a thrift shop, but mostly they are pretty fair. If I have any problems, it's with the lady who spent a solid half hour in the only dressing room, seemingly just staring at herself in the mirror until I got completely fed up and knocked on the wall. That's not really the staff's fault, I guess. The staff is actually super nice in my limited experience, but can occasionally get distracted, and don't spend enough time making sure people don't stare at themselves in the mirror for half an hour.

Charming little Irish shop…read more.. Found this place about six months ago. They were closed on a Sunday ( and still are), but finally had the chance to stop in earlier today. Hours posted are a little off. They have a sign on the door stating open 11:30- 4:30 Tuesday through Saturday. Of course I arrived early and just waited it out. So glad that I did! Christmas shopping has never been easy on me for that special someone. With the help of Rosanne the owner, she guided me through a few options. Yes, I finally found a Belleek cottage for our curio. Bonus for me was that it's the Quiet Man cottage, which if you have seen the movie or have been there you'll understand. Plus an authentic wool Irish sweater and a scarf. Sorry no pictures this time. That's because they actually do gift wrapping. A nice selection of Irish trinkets in this store. Do check out the back room if you come. It was mentioned to me, that there store in Red Bank does more of a selection of custom jewelry. Definitely worth a stop. But do call first to confirm they are open.

They've all the trapping of "the Irish" from jackets and shirts, kiss me I'm Irish they say lol to hats, mugs, etc etc It's more of a touristy kind of thing since it's in the village but super cute anyhow. I mean who doesn't want a green shirt with a drunk leprechaun googly eyed stating "kiss me I'm Irish" ???? Def gotta visit this place, fighting Irish, luck of the Irish, etc etc they've got it all!
