I'm shocked to see these guys have such a low rating. They've been nothing but kind and give fair deals. They're always helpful and give A LOT back to the community. They'll have great sales for the holidays, give out sealed products to families in need, have flash sales for the most popular products, and support local vendors through their trade nights. They're my go-to shop. Whether it be asking for their advice, buying clean cards for a fair price, or coming by to share PC's with each other. Don't let the low rating fool you! Not sure why there are so many low reviews -- our experience was the complete opposite. I stopped by with my daughter for her very first visit, and the team couldn't have been more welcoming. The shop is packed with Pokémon cards, with what feels like endless options to choose from. I get that local shops have real overhead, so I don't mind paying a bit more than a vending machine. What matters to me is the environment -- and this place delivered. My daughter felt comfortable, excited, and totally at ease while ripping her packs, and that alone makes this a great shop in my book. really liked the shop's decor. The two employees greeted me right away and were super helpful, patiently answering all my questions. I appreciated the bulk box of free cards and was able to fill in some common cards I was missing in my binder. I bought about five singles to add to my collection, and I like that they use pricing from the TCG app. However, I do wish they had price tags instead of having to look everything up on a phone it felt a bit awkward asking the staff to check the price for each card. Let's just say that customer service isn't the best. "A man's worth is only as good as their words" next time, you honor a deal, regardless, if you lost or not. You knew you had the potential to lose the coin flipped and then when you did, you didn't honor it but if a customer lost a coin flip, they would've had to honor it and you would've been just as upset. Furthermore, instead of taking accountability, they have limited all the comments on their public profiles because they know they fucked up. I'm also not sure if they think they're a hot shot because they got deep pocket that used to work with them who is the well-known collector so maybe that's why they don't want to take accountability. I'm assuming they're hoping they're saving grace is some well-known YouTuber again. Here's some perfect advice for you guys. Next time don't ever do a coin flip or a deal that you're gonna backed out you've lost also, when you go poke vending at a convention do not do any challenges. This is the best advice anyone could give you. Otherwise enjoy people calling you scammers and reviews and posts like mine on all other social platforms. Look I understand people have bad days but the customer service in here needs a serious look at. I have been back into the pokemon card collecting a while now and been to a lot of card shows was excited to see a shop so close by! I went in and no greeting or even a look up. I browsed for a bit, I will say they have a good amount of products at ok price. Even though the singles didn't have any prices so I can't speak on that. But was very excited to see some booster bundles I was going to buy. HOWEVER, while I was waiting some gentleman was cleaning the counter and another customer was waiting to talk to him. The customer brings up a problem with a card they had and had questions and the guy working/cleaning the counter was so short with this customer saying things like, "Well I don't look at every card" The customer just wanted to see what the cards condition was and customer kept trying to show him the card and the man did not stop. It was not busy in there at all. Also the minute I enter the shop I will also say the same guy mentioned above all he kept talking about was trying to get the hit of the packs and talking about how much money it was. I understand the name is "Ripz N Hitz" but it gives such a scummy feel where someone all they talk about is the money in it. Which if that is there passion about that is fine but the whole interactions just left me with such a horrible feeling. I think the guy above also might be an owner which also does not feel great. Bought a Booster Bundle pack from this place and upon opening the box, the packs inside were resealed. Not even 1 hit and cards were all identical to each other. Don't buy sealed products here, way to over priced & product is really suspicious read more

Eric and his sons are down to earth solid people. Wife and daughter first met them at their Carlsbad location and was treated with family friendly service. I visited the Escondido and Miramar store while accompanying daughter on card hunts and we saw Eric at all locations. He raised his sons right: friendly, gracious, and experts at everything Pokemon. I traded for a card earlier in the year. A couple months later, I decided I did not want the card so I went back to sell the card for cash because they claim "they're always buying". Eric repeatedly kept asking me if I really got the card from them. Then, later accuses me of damaging the card (even though it was in a top loader the day we made the trade and it went straight to my binder). He later goes on saying he only ever had one copy of that card, trying to claim he never had a damaged card (which is another lie because he had two copies the day I went for the card). For the record, the card is not damaged. He offered a card with a misprint, and to be charitable, that is on me for not spotting the error the day I traded for it. I just think it's lousy for Eric to not buy back a card he dealt me, then claimed I damaged it. Not to mention he offered like 50% of market initially for the card, which I was willing to accept, then changed his mind after all the mental gymnastics and accusations. Insane work. They swear they get you a good deal, but Eric always sells card at the high end of last sold, and buys your card at low end comps. read more

They use their Instagram to promote they're buying collections. Well... it doesn't look that way whatsoever, because their communication sucks. They don't seem to really care about their new potential customers. The whole point of having a business is making new connections and being there for their community. They lack that completely, which is really bad on their end. I'd recommend going to different card shops. Plus the parking sucks, not a good area at all. read more

Just my two cents but this company gives me scalper vibes. 151 packs that are priced at 8 bucks on tcg being sold for 15 dollars. Evolving skies packs priced at 23 on tcg being sold for 35? New drop journey together booster bundle is 44 dollar on tcg and being sold for 55. That's quite a mark up when you selling to the community. That gives me slimy business. This place has more stock than any of the other vendors so I wouldn't be surprised if these guys are the ones clearing out the machines in the area. Like just let people buy them at the tcg price from the vending machines than trying to make a quick buck on peoples hobby. Holding out for pokemon to print more so these guys stop making money off holding all the stock. read more

Been here twice and both times they opened late. The shop clearly states the hours of operation but whoever opens up always comes 30-40 minutes late. They also didn't seem apologetic at all for arriving so late. Customer service also needs some work and employees really just seemed like they don't care about the customers with how they talk. read more
