Market value on this item was $180, he said the price is $190 so I proceeded to ask if that was market value and where he got that number from, so when I double checked his pricing, he got an attitude with me and told me that he is firm on the market price that he just made up. I know it's only $10 and I honestly was still going to buy if market was truly $190, but he lied to me and thought that I was just gonna take his word. Like I said, Ninja Exchange is a dope place where I've done a lot of business, but this vendor might be out to scam some people out of their money by lying to them about the actual market price. If you do plan on purchasing anything from that vendor, double check the market value. He might be trying to screw you out of your money like he did with me.

Grocery stores stock toys at kids' eye level. Target has several aisles stocked with toys that have their own television shows. Best Buy displays toys next to the checkout line. Gepetto's in Carlsbad is a small store stocked with top-quality toys, and in my experience staffed with people who are always eager to help and often able to help. The place is insane during the week before Christmas, but the staff somehow copes. I try not to go there at Christmastime. Shopping with a child for toys in a store whose inventory is not advertised on television is much simpler and more satisfying than taking the same kid to Target. Trust me, I've done both. Since in general the toys at Gepetto's are unknown to the child, there is far less of the "gimme gimme" that happens at Target. And whether a toy is still interesting and unbroken the next day is unrelated to its advertising. A 5-year-old in my family was astonished that there were no Minecraft toys at Gepetto's, and asked if we could go to the nearby bookstore because it would for sure have Minecraft toys. I find Gepetto's selection of child-compatible art supplies to be superior to what's in stores like Michael's, but they cost more. I don't mind.

When he approached a worker about getting them framed and matted they informed him it would be a minimum of two weeks until they were completed, he kindly declined and decided to buy the matting sheets to bring home for me to do it since we need them done sooner. No biggie, while he's at the checkout he's getting dirty looks from some old lady he assumes is a manger, he asks "is there a problem, may I help you" (my husband is a very kind, polite, gentleman) and she gives him a dirty look and says "nope". When it's finally his turn to check out he puts all the items on the belt except for the frames that we got from WALMART and the lady begins profiling him. She asks why he doesn't put them up and he says "these are from Walmart, I brought them in with me" & she said "nope nope, you need to pay for those" and he said "I did, at Walmart, you don't even sell this brand look at it" she continues to argue with him that he needs to pay for them and then calls over a nasty little manager who begins being even more derogatory. She proceeds to tell him, he's stealing, the cops will come get him, he "fits the description" of someone who would do this, etc. My husband left the store completely confused as to why they treated him that way and I wish I was there because I wouldn't have been as kind or polite. My husband is 6'1, brown hair, blue eyed, heavily tattooed man. If tattoos are how we decide who's a thief these days then I think a good bit of our population is at risk of this behavior from nasty, stuck up, miserable beings like the ones who work at this location.
