Apparently this info was in yesterday's (late) instagram post but was NOT on the flyer that was passed out. I only saw the flyer. My two girls had a soccer tournament and couldn't be there. I wasn't there standing in the scorching sun for two hours for myself; I was there waiting for goodie bags FOR MY KIDS! The manager at seaport village, Gracie, absolutely refused to make an exception. They refused to give me goodie bags for my daughters. And everyone in line around me saw this and also thought it was absurd how rigid the staff were. People were offering up their kids to help me get goodie bags for my girls, but I didn't take them up on that because I don't want to be deceitful. I've spent so much money at Geppettos and have been a loyal customer for years. My husband and I also run a nonprofit for children with cystic fibrosis, where we buy the children tons of gifts (mostly toys) over the holidays and throughout the year, when they're often stuck in the hospital (at Rady's). We will no longer be supporting Geppettos after this incident today at Seaport village. We will be buying toys and gifts for our nonprofit organization and our own children (and their friends) elsewhere from now on.

That pillar is spectacular and makes you so curious you can't help but go inside. It is a toy and trinket lovers dream! They have every tchotchke you could imagine for young and old(er). There are signs throughout the store to let you know the cost of the toys in the various coloured bins. Things ranged from $1 to $10 I believe. Extremely cost-friendly, especially for kids. We walked around and reminisced about our favourite childhood toys, most of which were in the store. I found exactly what I was looking for and then some with the help of the friendly staff. The shop had exclusive items for Tokidoki's 20th so I bought a tee from them as well. Regarding parking, usually you can rely on street parking or might be able to find a lot where you pay to park.

AUTOMATIC FIVE-STAR RATING! Okay, besides that, Now or Never is one of the few (if not only) comic book stores in Downtown San Diego. It's actually cleaner and more organized than the ones I frequent, but the relatively small size of the building means they don't have as much in stock as I'd like. Case in point, I wanted to show my appreciation for supporting SDCC by getting a couple of graphic novels of Trese and Usagi Yojimbo, but the ones I wanted weren't in stock. But, given how I was surprised to see a comic book store a few blocks away from the Convention Center, I can see myself probably checking it out again whenever I'm in the area.

There's J-pop and Anisong playing in the store, they hold community events, and there's a wide variety of Gunpla, Gunpla building accessories, other anime figs/goods, blind boxes, etc. Great place to grab a gift for an anime loving fan. I also have to commend the shop for having a really cool custom mural of a Gundam overlooking San Diego. That's how you know that there's some real local love. The only point of comparison that I have with Gunnzo is the older Anime Jungle in LT and that sometimes feels like a TSA line to get in. Great price point comparison. I'm sadly not a huge mecha person and the last fig kits I built were for FGO, but I would definitely stop by again!

I didn't buy it at the time, but when I got home I decided to buy it over the phone. When I called I spoke to Asma. She took care of my order and even wrapped it up in cute nautical paper for me! I received it just a few days later. I was very happy with my purchase and will return there next year in person. They also have really cool pirates up near the ceiling that are fun to get a photo of. I recommend this store for souvenirs when you are in Seaport Village!
