This place is more than a coffee shop, it's a wonderful experience we try to enjoy on a regular basis. For years I drove by this coffee shop, so glad I finally went in and can now see why everyone raves about this place! The barista's are incredibly sweet and kind, they somehow remember our names and always greet us with a warm welcome. Well yesterday we had a very sad day at Ripon cafe which is now called Ripon coffee house. We have been long time faithful customers who loved the breakfast options like the wrap and breakfast bowls. But now under new ownership they have decided to take all protein based foods off the menu. No more wraps, no more breakfast bowls, no breakfast sandwiches. I have visited Ripon Coffee House several times now, and can say that I am very impressed with Hus, Nini and the crew. This is a COFFEE House, not a breakfast joint - Ripon has enough of those. This lovely coffee house has an expanded coffee menu, and has knocked back the food menu to the best-of-the-best in breakfast, lunch and treat items. If you need a protein-based meal, they have quiche. If you want carbs, they have bakery items. If you want a bagel sandwich or salad, they have you covered! The crew is many of the familiar faces we came to know and love at Ripon Cafe. Lori chose a great group of young ladies, and Hus and Nini were smart enough to keep them! You will recognize many of their sweet, smiling faces. Never fear, Rikki, Acelyn, Bailey, Abby and more will be there to greet you. Hus really knows and understands coffee and speaks knowledgeably about how it should be made. The espresso is nutty and rich, but not too sweet, and not at all bitter. My family and I are in love with this cute place! The coffee is delicious (blended skinny dip is my fav!) and the pastries are amazing. We've had bagels, the blueberry muffin and the maple bacon scone (life changing)...can't wait to try more. We come from Tracy to enjoy this spot and our only critique is that we wish it were closer! Ripon Coffee House has been changing too much and I feel like some of my favorite items aren't there anymore. The scones, muffins, and cookies look uncooked. The scone I purchased was hard outside and doughy in the middle. when I asked to have a cappuccino to go, the man said, "that's stupid." One of the girls recommended what is popular and I got it and my coworkers loved it. She's always so helpful and friendly and she even recommended the frosted latte which is my new favorite! Gem!! I don't even know where to begin. The customer service here is A+ you will be greeted with the nicest employees. The AMAZING coffee is to die for. My favorite is the Toasted Almond. You can get fresh and delicious pastries made in house such as my favorite Vanilla peach scones. The owners really know how to make a customer happy. This place is a true coffee house. Staff are properly trained in the art of good coffee making. They have several sugar free syrup flavorings, which I really appreciate. I love their cappucino, dry, and I just had a sf version of their Creme Brule latte today. Fabulous! Staff is professional and so friendly. The shop is always spotless. Outstanding service, coffee and food! It seems they may be under new ownership or hired a new staff because my experience yesterday was unlike the last visit. The gentleman that took our order was especially kind! The Aloha Mocha was great, I love the selection of specialty coffee flavors. My absolute favorite spot in Ripon! I've been coming here for lunch since freshman year of high school and haven't stopped. Never had a bad experience here. The staff are super friendly and always greet me by name when when I come in. The coffee is amazing no matter if you get it iced, hot, or blended (the blended drinks are 100 times better than Frappuccinos). They also offer dairy free milk and are super accommodating with adjustments to the ingredients. My go to is a turkey pesto panini, and it's so good! Iced teas are awesome also. I love being a customer here and it's my favorite place to go out to lunch with a friend or just to grab some coffee. read more

I get everyone what's to be a critic but obviously change was needed if they were selling the business, in my eyes.. I have been a customer with the New owners for 10 + years and let me tell you I've never felt more at home walking into a new coffee house and feeling welcome! Want a true review on your new owners of this coffee house look up Barista's in Tracy CA and read reviews from before July 2016.. those are your new owners and let me tell you ripon people you are SOOOOOOO lucky to have them.. they are what real customer service is about! They not only have remember my name from literally day one I walked in there but after not seeing them in over 6 months they still remembered my name drink and bagel.. they don't care about your money they care about YOU! I stopped here again this morning for a break on the way to Modesto. Had a BlackBerry scone and it was wonderful! The staff were superior! I told the barista my name to put on my coffee and after I ate my scone, on my way out, she said goodbye along with my name. Amazing! read more

My friend and I went during lunch which I understand is a busy time. We were there first in line before the rush had even started; ordered our drinks and food. We got our drinks fast, but waited 20 minutes for our panini/bagel. We stood waiting, as many people who ordered after us got their food and drinks. I then asked one of the workers that we've been waiting and when our food will be out; she said just a few minutes and i saw in the back they had just started making it and had missed our order. On the other hand after waiting and finally getting our food, the cheese on my panini wasn't even melted and the bagel of my friends was cold. Love this place and food/drinks are very good, but wait time and organization was beyond disappointing and unacceptable this day specifically. We were the first ones there, and last ones to leave. The other customers didn't even called in and ordered on the spot as we did. read more
