It's never a pleasant experience to be towed and have to pick up your vehicle. HOWEVER, there is no reason for any receptionist to have the most heinous attitude when trying to calmly retrieve your vehicle. Since the moment we contacted RGC over the phone, we were met with nothing but hostile attitude trying to inquire politely about our towed vehicle. I'm never one to ever write a review, but the feeling of utter disrespect is unacceptable and criminal. Simply accompanying your friend to release a vehicle constitutes a rude "enforcement" of "policy" that requires anyone who is not the impounded vehicle's owner to stand behind the gate, not even allowed to sit on the seats conveniently placed outside the office door. Even trying to maintain a calm and civil tone will not appease Ms. Tish who does not seem to understand the concept of customer service. Like I said, I am never one to even think to leave reviews anywhere, but this business is the furthest thing from professional and I am forewarning you that you will see the brightest color of red when you fall victim to this scam and embarrassment of a towing company. Oh, and do not be misled by all of the hopecore-esque decor inside the office. It is deceiving and lord have mercy on these people's souls. -angry crunch fitness visitor parker O stars lolllll read more

I was stuck in a broken down for almost 2 1/2 hours for multiple different reasons. I was lucky that someone saw that I was on the side of the road and they contacted Rios towing for me and they were there within minutes. The man who told my car was so nice and comforting after the traumatic night that I had. I highly recommend this company. If they hadn't picked me up, I'm 100% sure I'd still be stuck on the side of the road. 10 out of 10 service. read more

I needed a jump late at night and they were there within the hour super friendly and helped me out when everyone else was sleeping!

Not only is this a corrupt towing company the people are extremely rude. I'm thankful I was able to pay for my car because I almost wasn't able to pay for my car and their answer instead of giving you a break maybe giving you a discount because you're struggling they instead say oh well, we're just gonna charge you more because we're keeping your car safe, super fucking rude and my biggest issue with it is that my car is filthy and has a tiny bit of damage from where they forcibly towed me even though I was parked in guest parking with a parking pass. They still towed me thanks for nothing. Close your business down you're not a helping anyone read more

They literally wrongfully tow and still make you pay. There is a sign saying they aren't responsible for "damages or theft" giving them an open invite to steal from out of your car. They DO NOT WEAR MASKS! And they all have a terrible attitude. What low life's, they should be ashamed they have to do this in order to make money. What low life's lol read more

I was wrongfully towed. I had a permit in my window that was up to date and in the correct place and they still made me pay 117 fucking dollars to get my car back when they shouldn't have taken it in the first place and to make matters worse they charged me extra because I don't drive my car often so I did not realize it was gone. Honestly fu*ck this place they should be ashamed of their business and how do they expect a college kid to be able to afford that. I'm already broke now my bank account literally has 70 cents in it. Thanks a fucking lot! read more

This place has tow truck people scouring parking lots to take cars from lots that have a bunch of vacation spaces. And then when you inquire about picking up the vehicle you have to wait until 9 fuckin AM. read more

Thank you Rios Towing. You were there when I needed you and agreed to help us in our little crises. Even though I canceled at the last minute, you still arrived, helped my Elderly Father and helped get him home. You Rock Rios Towing! #reliablecounts #sanmarcospride #iwilluseyouagain read more

The fact that they MADE MY WIFE STAND IN THE COLD while I paid for my car was ridiculous! It's their policy they said. SO WHAT! You don't make a 54 year old women wait in the cold because it's your policy! I can tell they didn't care at all! This company and their practices should be looked into and the numerous complaints taken serious by the city and county authorities. read more

I was charged a "storage fee" of $20 and my vehicle was on their lot less than 1 hour. I was also charged an impound fee of $20 and my vehicle was not impounded. It was towed from one lot to their lot and I was charged $75 for that fee. I am not complaining about the predatory towing fee, but the $40 for the other two fees. They wrongfully charged me with an impound fee according to Texas State law. They can charge the storage fee, but it is a sleazy way to make a living. The lady on the phone was nasty and hateful. read more

One of their drivers just pulled out in front of me on the service road and almost caused us to crash. So I'll definitely never call them if I need a tow truck. read more

Forced to sit outside on a dirty old car seat waiting for an employee to show up so I can retrieve my car, despite my calling ahead of time indicating my intent to do so. The woman with whom I spoke had an attitude from the minute she picked up the phone and made it a point to speak over me rather than listen. Unprofessional communication at its best. TL;DR: my car was towed because I parked in a reserved space. Not upset by the towing--I can take responsibility for my mistakes. My interaction with Rios Towing is what ruined my day. read more

My roommate and I sat outside the gate for a grand total of 30 minutes because they were not opening. First time we called they said they were sending someone over. 5 minutes later no one showed called 3 times and no answer. Waiting another 5 minutes called again and said same thing. 20 minutes later someone finally came to open the gate. Apparently the front office isn't capable of opening the gate for people trying to get their own car back!!! read more

Trying to find this place is very difficult. And I had to wait over 2 hrs to get someone to open the gate so I could get my truck. The head manager explained when opening that they were driving back and forth on 35 trying to find a stranded driver. Maybe having someone at the shop to accept tow payments and get their cars would be a solution. read more

My friends car got towed from the cottages visitor parking and we thought it was gonna be a pain to get the vehicle back because it was hard to communicate over the phone. But when we got there in person we brought a map of the visitor parking and it was all easily resolved. The lady in the office was really nice and we got it figured out. I would definitely say to come prepared if you do get towed. read more

Makes me feel good I helped out a business in need. Place needs repairs, valued employees and all the above. My sister was WRONGFULLY towed by this company. She has been parking there for 4 years with no issue ever before and all the sudden she needs a permit. The permit meter was actually broken and has been for a long time so no one has had to have permits to park there up until today! Fast forward to getting the car from the location. There is no sign from the highway, GPS Took me past it, and customer service is lacking as well. Zero empathy and unable to give direction when lost. We were next to rios at a place called ernies, which has signs all over the place! We can barely see rios sign and called just to be told its right next door not seeing signs we drove next door. Its BBQ but everyone is saying its right there in ernies? but NO ONE IS HELPING US SEE IT heres a photo of the sign.. We were near the flag pole and that is a blind spot. She went INSIDE ERNIES and they did not show her or help her next door they will also get a 0 on customer service. 0 stars we got the car back and will fight the charges. read more

Ríos Towing came to the rescue when we got into an accident due to icy roads. TERRIBLE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS TRASH BUSINESS. They changed their name to RGC towing because of all the negative comments and illegal towing they have been doing. My car got towed and they dented it. got towed from my apartment complex, only to find out they used a wheel lift truck on a four wheel drive car, damaging the center differential, not to mention leaving it with very noticeable white scratch on the front bumper. when i showed it to the more than incompetent and ignorant front desk person, they proceeded to come over, take pictures, then try to tell me the pictures they just took were the same pictures they took earlier in the day before bringing my car in. then after leaving, the driver, i'm assuming this anthony rios character everyone in these reviews has come to know and love, calls me and tells me to come back and "handle" everything now that he's there because i "threatened" his front desk lady. yeah. okay. i just paid you $122 dollars to damage a car i've had for a month. but right, telling her she's a blatant liar is definitely threatening. learn how to do business buddy, there's a reason you got your license revoked not long ago. lol, and according to a hundred other reviews, nobody else likes you either, learn how to stop running your mouth and have fun at your rinky dink shop read more

My car got towed by this company last semester, I had to call 2 hours in advance to request a pick up time to pick my car up, when I arrived during the pick up time no one was there. I called the number to tell them I was here to pick my car up and stated I had even arrived 10 min early from my pick up time and they simply said they were close by and would be there in no time...I waited 2 hours for someone to arrive. This company is a joke, and the employees are terrible...I had to call multiple times for someone to answer so I could request a pick up time and when they finally picked up and I asks some questions they were not friendly at all, they were rude. I even called them multiple times when I did arrive there during pick up time and it took a couple of calls for them to answer. read more

People just give these guys bad reviews cause everyone is mad when their car gets towed. When I get a flat or get my car stuck somewhere this company has always helped me so much, and its not super expensive like other towing companies taking advantage of college students in bad situations. The tow truck driver even talked me through options for a new tire, and talked to the tire shop man to help me out and find out what I needed since I don't know anything about cars. I will always call this company whenever I need a tow. Super nice people! I'd honestly give more stars if I could. read more

It's so sad to have to tell a towing business something they should already know -- but, PLEASE make sure you are towing the cars that actually should be towed. HAHAHAHA - what a freaking joke. They towed my car from visitors parking at the villages on telluride for no reason. I had to call the manager of the villages and explain the situation, for which she called Rios and they would not admit they messed up. The people there have nothing better to do with their lives then sit, eat and watch people walk to and from their cars. Fun fact, their towing licensure has expired so my mom & I have filed a report with the Texas department of public safety to get a refund. The people that work there are an absolute joke - complete scum. Terrible business. So unfriendly. So unprofessional. Can't wait to see what happens next for them. read more

They are quick to tow your car, but when you go to pick it up there isn't anyone there. Yet they advertise 24 hours.

Place is bullshit... they towed me in the middle of the night from a visitors section i was parked in for not even 2 hours. I spoke to the apartment complex and they had no idea it even happened. Spoke with the "manager/owner" about my daughter's brand new car being towed from her apartment building the first night she was there. He was very rude and condescending. The office manager of the apartment admitted it should not have happened, but the towing service stuck to their "it's a job" party line. No room for common sense or discretion. Aside from the fact that the car had been towed, everyone at that company was rude, arrogant, unbending, and completely unapologetic for their unwillingness to be helpful or courteous in any way. It's their job. They're following the contract. Don't expect them to stop and think for a minute. No sticker, you get towed. And don't expect the process of finding your vehicle to be easy. The woman at the towing company said my daughter would have to "come look" to see if her car was there. Which is difficult when you don't have a car! We didn't have a choice about having to deal with this company. But if you do, look elsewhere. read more

I wish I could give this place -5 stars for having the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. The young man who directed me to my car was very nice, but the lady at the desk was just horrific.
