My roadside took its sweet flipping time dispatching this company but when they finally got there, the driver was so kind and concerned about us. We were broken down with a completely shredded tire on the left side of the highway up against the speed wall. And we were in a huge hurry to make it to an important appointment. I told him we were desperate to make it to a doctor on time and he hustled in high gear to get our car loaded on his truck and definitely put his own skin on the line by braving the left side of the highway to get us moving in a hurry. I wish I had gotten his name to praise him directly, because this driver was absolutely wonderful and caring and he didn't have to be. read more

They are rude towed my car from Kerby lane cafe at the San Marcos river I was just there for 4 of July not even 15 they were watching us from the parking lot and towed out car right when we just put our stuff down for the river. Last year I parked there never had a problem I seen a lot of people park there . When we arrived we saw the towing truck park across , they were just there watching and waiting for people to leave to tow there car . They asked us for driver license and insurance like there some dam police and charged us 124 dollars . We are from San Antonio and we even had to walk to the place to go pick up the car. read more

We are just kids that are traveling. We just stopped somewhere to pee really quick and they towed us within 20min we aren't familiar with the area we didn't know any better and they charged us 124 dollars to get our car back. Do not use this towing service. They openly mistreated my family and didn't care. Our family had them scheduled to come help us unload a heavy item at 10 AM. I called them at 10:45 because they were running 45 minutes late. The dispatcher answers, then tells us that they weren't going to come at all. I told them that we had movers at our home. That we were all waiting for them and that we had relied on them to do what they said they'd do. They didn't care. They just told me to have a nice day and hung up the phone. I can't believe anyone allows themselves to treat others this way. It's not right. Southwest Towing should be ashamed of themselves. Use another towing company. read more

These people will find a way to screw you no matter what the situation is. The will tell you that they cannot do something because of the contract signed. When asked if they have said contract in front of them, they will say no but then assure that they have read them and that is how they interpret the contract. It's a scam. You will pay money/sign a contract for them to tow unauthorized vehicles and then they will interpret the contract in a way for them to get out of actually doing any work. They take your money and then tell you to piss off. read more

Absolutely the WORST service.... Our apartments employ this company claiming that they are a 24/7 service, but it took them FOUR HOURS to come tow a car in a parking space that we pay for! What's worse is we had to wait from 4:00 am to 8:30 am. When we would call the employees were very rude and would hang up on us. This company should be shut down! Illegally towed me in a parking lot of an out of business store with NO sign to say anyone would tow. Not only that, but I was just around the corner at another business not even technically off the parking lot. Was parked there less than an hour. The lady at the window refused to discuss it with me calmly and instead walked away saying NOTHING as if she hadn't heard me and PLAYED ON HER PHONE for 20 minutes in the heat while she was supposed to be filling out a form so I could get my car back. It was as if she didn't know I could see her through the glass. Asked around and friends have had similar experiences and confirmed to me that their entire company is just as rude and greedy, trying to scam innocent people. The manager even lied to and hung up on my friend. Had to pay anyway because apparently they charge by the half hour and I emptied my entire savings account to get the car they stole from me. Literally take your business anywhere else. There was ONE friendly, decent man working there and he's probably not who you'll be dealing with. This place is horrible pray you never get towed. I wasn't mad at them it wasn't there fault I got towed so I was very sweet over the phone. Where I was told it would be 120 if I got there today and tomorrow it would go up. I then called back to see if they took cash they said yes and I could even pick it up after five but I'd have to have exact cash. I got there at 3 and they tried saying my mom the trucks owner wasn't the owner. We told them there records were wrong and some girl popped off and said well it's the state records so they're not wrong. After arguing with us finally agreed they were wrong. Then told me it'll be 120 again went to give them the money and some other worker a female got attitude and said it's 143. So after being told the price was 120 three times they changed it to 143. They then wouldn't let me the person who drives the truck get it even tho I'm on the insurance and my mother was right there by me. After all that they wouldn't let my mom drive through the gate because my brother was parked too close to the gate. It was fucking ridiculous. read more

The whole staff has an attitude like it was their car that just got towed.....the short lady behind the counter took 20 MINUTES just to find the info to a car that literally just arrived there 5 mins ago. Then after waiting 20 minutes she then proceeds to tell me that I need the insurance that's in the glove box in my car....so then I walk almost half a mile in the scorching heat to a junkyard just to get my insurance from inside my car then walk ALL the way back just for her to waste my time for another 15 mins! So I got my car towed at Copper. & I knew they towed but I completely forgot and parked anyway so it was my mistake. I'm giving them 5 stars because they were very responsive and I got a call back when they missed my call the first time. A man named "david" helped me figure out what i needed to get my car out. He was very nice. These people have to deal with a**holes everyday so I appreciated his patience with me. Anyway, I got my car out and it was $118.22 for 1 day. Cheaper than other places that tow. If you know you messed up just pay the fee. if your friend lied to you then make them pay half. :) Tip for the towing people: You should really get someone to work the front kiosk. Southwest towing towed my car at the wrongful request of a local apartment complex just doing their job they took the vehicle. Despite having to work with a highly frustrated person (me) who was in all intents and purposes not a customer. EVERY person I dealt with was helpful and nice! Also when the apartment paid for the vehicle to be brought back this company still checked with me before doing anything. This is a good group of honest people. read more

I feel like this company took advantage of my daughter and that they have a system to take advantage of college kids. Towing vehicles out of a parking lot adjacent to the campus, no signage, and lying in wait to grab the vehicle immediately after she steps off the curb toward campus, is abusive. These kids are out in the world on their own for the first time. To conduct business in a way that deliberately takes advantage of the kids entrusted to your town is shameful. I hope that business owners and local residents see this review and take note. Despite the fact that I was towed from somewhere with no visible tow signs, I called southwest towing and confirmed my car was with them (8pm) and that I was on the way. Once I got there (8:30 pm) no one was in sight and I was forced to wait for someone to show up. Hope you love your job-stealing money from college kids by towing ridiculous amounts, everywhere, all the time. I feel like they understand that it isn't worth it to fight the $100 fee for getting my car towed but I'm pretty sure it is illegal to tow from areas without visible signs anyways. read more

Conveniently to them, their credit card machine was "down" so they were only accepting cash. The driver lied about what time they took my car to the tow lot and charged me for another day (12 hours is considered a full day now I guess thats what they learn in Mexico). It is not about the thirty-five extra dollars I was charged it was frustrating because the company lied about it. Actually zero stars!!! My daughter's car was towed from HER covered parking space at her apartments. She pays for this reserved spot and has been parking there for months. I drove 60 miles to go get the car (it's in my name) and to take her to her first class at TXSU since she had a test. We were told that there was no parking sticker. There was a parking sticker, but someone had removed it.....the adhesive was still there where the sticker had been. The apartment manager was called and confirmed that my daughter was parked in her spot. They gave me a discount and only charged me $50!!! I think these guys are running a scam....I believe that they removed the sticker. I'm sure they are ripping of college students left and right. And, they are trollling the apartment complexes. My daughter's car was towed 15 minutes after she got home from work.....she was being watched. read more

If I could i would put zero stars. I am not sure how these guys have such a good rating. I understand that I was illegally parked, but these guys put me on hold for 25+ minutes just so I could try and see if they had my car. Once I confirmed that these jokers had my car, I tried to pick it up after calling and talking to the person in charge, and had to wait almost 2 hours in the rain and cold before I could talk to anyone. They stood around, walking past me and talking to each other, completely ignoring me. They finally told me the only person that could release my car was the truck driver. The manager wouldn't even release it to me. Once I got to my car to pay for this hustle, the jerk proceeded to tell me the story of how he pickup my car, and how excited he was to take it. They treated me as if they owned me just because they had my car. Watch where you park even at 1am because these sharks have people watching and waiting. Worst towing service I have ever done business with. Not only did they tow my vehicle from my own residence, but they scratched the entire passenger side door, from the front tire to the rear. After finding out my vehicle had been towed I contacted a man named Michael, who claims to be the "manager". Never in my life have I been spoken down to in the manner that Michael did. During our initial conversation Michael told myself, as well as my mother, that he would be available all night long to release my vehicle from impound, yet when we arrived the entire office was empty. We contacted Michael yet again to inform him that we were at his facility and he said he would send someone in just a few minutes to help us. Ha! We waited for 45 minutes for Michael and when someone did show up to help us it was not Michael, but one of his drivers. The driver proceeded to show us the paperwork and ask for a drivers license yet somehow "forgot" to ask for the registration as well as proof of insurance. As we looked over the paperwork we noticed how specific it was. The scratches on the front and back bumper were noted, as well as everything I had in the car, from the cup in my cup holder to the Copenhagen can my boyfriend had left on the passenger side floorboard. When I got to my vehicle it was parked so close to another car that it had to be backed up to even open the passenger door. At this point I decided to give my car a look-over and discovered the scratch on the passenger side. When I confronted the driver who had been helping me he barely even looked where I was pointing and proceeded to inform me of the scratches on the bumpers, at which point I told him that after all, it was MY vehicle that I drive daily and I am very aware of the nicks and dings being that I am the one who did them. He continued to blatantly disregard what I was trying to show him and told us that if we had an issue then we should call Michael. So we did, only to be treated with up most disrespect and complete disregard for out situation. After 10 minutes of arguing and being told to "quit putting words in his mouth" when we repeated to him the fact that he said he would be available and was not, he told us that there was nothing he could do and if we wished to pursue the issue we would have to file a police report. Absolutely terrible service. I am well aware that as a tow truck driver they are hassled on a daily basis by unhappy customers but the way they handled the situation was absolutely unacceptable. read more

An absolutely poorly managed company. When I needed to have a car towed from my designated parking spot, the supervisor on the phone assured me that they would be here in ten minutes- and I told them that in the meanwhile I was parked in a different spot and needed them to be as quick as possible. Fast forward thirty minutes, no sign on them. When I called, the man I had spoken to early was horribly rude and said, and I quote, "I have a guy on the way but I never told you a time so don't tell me that I told you a time. I didn't tell you a time". Ludicrous! Not only was he lying to me, but he was unnecessarily impolite when all I wanted was an apology and an estimated time of their arrival. The fact that this company has a sort of monopoly over this area is disgusting as they are an extremely poor excuse for a business. I would much rather pull my own hair out strand by strand than have to deal with them. A complete disgrace. read more
