I was just serviced by this company for an indoor lockout, and they were great. None of the other places in San Marcos were open, served my location between SM n Martindale or answered my call. I saw their previous review score but gave still them a shot. The boss called me to make sure I had talked to the technician on the way and Rashid arrived exactly the time he said. I sent him a photo of my door lock and asked a price which I gladly venmoed to him after he finished the job in afew minutes. I highly recommend this company for home-style lock out service they provided. I'll be calling again if/when I need a lock smithed read more

This is the worst place you could choose to do any key replacement / lock out possible. They gave me no indication of pricing before the technician showed up. When they showed they did the work which was fine, but then started rattling off the charges. To get into my car and make a new key (keep in mind this key does not have any buttons, magical healing powers, or anything special other than opening the door and turning the car on) it cost $1200. Absolute trash business that takes advantage of people in bad situations. I struggled to find places to review them on Google - most likely because everyone would see what a complete scam this company is. read more

if I could write this business lower, I would totally shady enterprise predatory pricing standard Poplock pricing for a nonemergency is 60 to 120 they charged my daughter $325 and the owner Amat K. If you value your money, time, and sanity, do not call these people. As a previous post mentioned, if you search Pop a Lock for some reason this company comes up. They quoted me a price , came out and the price doubled. When I questioned the price hike, the tech mentioned that the alarm was on and that it was going to cost more. I told him, no. He told me I had to pay him 65$ for his service fee. I refused. I called the supervisor who proceeded to tell me that I was being difficult and that I was misinformed, then I misunderstood, then I was probably thinking about another company's quote... He also told me all companies charge a service fee and I owed them $35. The tech said $65. You can see where I'm going with this. In a completely frustrating situation, these people made it 100x worse. I was actually completely caught off guard by their business practice and I wished I had been more careful. I wish I could give N1 Locksmith 0 stars. read more

Don't fall for the fake reviews online that these rackateering scammers created about themselves. I requested service for a lockout at my apartment. Quoted $95. After the scammer gave me a spiel about how my lock had 8 pins and was extra secure, he had to work through 3 layers because my lock is very good and secure. Scammer destroyed my lock with a grind saw. Ignored me when i repeatedly asked for him to stop and that i had misunderstood. He pushed all the pieces out of the door and watched them fall and scatter all over the floor. He put his saw back in his bag and told me to have a nice night as im just staring in confusion at him. Steps on and kicks the pieces as he's leaving. Ignoring me and not even looking back as im asking about the outrageous charge. Basically, he was getting the hell out of there as fast as he could. I filed a police report. This is so criminal. Do not give them your identification cards, neither. read more

So I had lost my keys and googled for the closest locksmith. This company popped up so I called to get a quote. The price I ended up paying vs the price he gave me on the phone was off by like $80. That was strike 1. To start, I drive a Chevy impala which has push to start features as well as remote start. It has unlock buttons from the outside that unlock when pushed, if the keys are in the exact vicinity of the receiver. That being said, after the technician made my key and charged me, I locked/unlocked the door checking that it worked which It did and went inside. I didn't need to go anywhere, but the next morning, I hopped in my car and when I tried to start it the dash displayed that there was no remote detected. I tried again and it started. I said ok that's a little weird but it's probably good. From that moment on, over the course of the week, the key got worse. It took multiple tries to get it to start and then the lock/unlock feature suddenly started to become spotty to eventually not working at all. I currently can't lock my doors because my key fob will not be able to unlock it. The outside unlock buttons, can't detect the key for that to work. With that out, I can't remote start my vehicle. The whole Key Fab is useless outside of the car. Once the fab stopped unlocking my car, I needed to call them but I had lost memory of which locksmith I called. Once I figured that out it had been 4 weeks of having the key. This is when I started calling the business. They would answer, but tell me that they would have a technician call me in an hour. They never did. I would call back, they would get a "manager" and then the manager would act like they're going to help, only to hang up on you as well. This has been going on for a week now. Well I'm a very persistent person so I continued to call day after day hoping that they would get the message that you can't brush me off. They started to tell me that a technician would be on the way. They would go as far as making sure the address was right and phone number this and that. Nothing. So I started to get really upset and said some things not PG and he actually started clapping back with profanity. This was how I knew from that moment that this was not a company of high morale. This is not a company that does good business. They lie and apparently screw other customers over as well. They had many chances over the phone to either help me or tell me why they couldn't and they did neither. They chose to ghost me and lie about help being on the way.I'm currently trying to reach out to DPS and BBB in hopes to get down to this shady company. We'll see. read more

Total Bogus company. Was traveling & lost auto keys. Call this company in error, thought i was calling Cothrons. They showed up at airport after 2 hours waiting. Charged $1000+, just to open car door, then hid the fact that they charge a fee for credit cards, which made charge over $1100. Then, charged $1800 for 2 car fobs, which the tech supposedly programed for my vehicle. Had to call out supervisor next day to reprogram correctly the fobs so that i could lock/unlock the vehicle correctly. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! read more

SCAMMER ALERT DO NOT USE THIS POS "COMPANY" Door locked, I inquired about the cost over the phone and was told they would let me know when they got here. DO NOT USE!!! Our regular locksmith was unavailable that day. They tried to charge us $10K to replace a lock that we already had a core for. They didn't explain the cost before hand and told us that they would let us know. Once finished they handed us a bill for $10k for something that takes everyone else $800 or less to do. They then tried for over an hour to negotiate down the price to which we paid them $1k for an $800 job just to get them to leave. We asked for their security license which they could not produce. We also threatened to call the police and they changed their tune entirely. Shady scammers. read more

The key to my truck got locked inside at breakfast, so I called N1. They informed me someone would be there in less than 30 minutes and that they would give me a quote before arrival. It was almost 30 minutes before I even got called back and the guy informed me he was on his way. After just over an hour the guy showed up. He managed to open the door in less than five minutes. But still had not given me a quote. When I asked how much he said $600 and laughed. But I wasn't laughing after ge wrote out the bill for $275. Infact, that evening at dinner 30 minutes down the road, the keys got locked in the car and I chose a different company. I got an immediate quote (before the guy showed up) and It was only $89 for the same job. I called N1 back the next day and wanted to know why they charged me three times the price to preform the same task. They only gave me the run around for days, telling me to call back. Then after a week said they could do nothing about the price. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING ANYONE ELSE. read more

We were quoted $100 for a vehicle lockout service. The technician arrived after about 30 minutes and began work immediately. However, after completing the job, he requested payment without specifying the amount. When we inquired, he revealed the charge would be $579, citing the distance as the reason for the increase. We contacted the office and were sent a handwritten note for $250 instead, which added to the confusion. After checking Yelp, we found similar complaints, suggesting this is a common practice for N1 Locksmiths--offering a low quote, then charging an exorbitant amount without prior notice. We believe this company intentionally exploits customers, operating with unethical practices. If able, would give 0-Stars. Just like everyone else stated here STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM! read more

The worst experience I have had with a locksmith ever. I accidentally clicked on their number because of a google ad (meant to go to Cothron's so this is partly my fault - but will also use this as an ad to GO TO COTHRON'S not this company). Locksmith came out and spent nearly 2.5 hours absolutely destroying my lock. He charged $900 (quote was ~$200) and the lock currently is shakey, not reliable, and sticks out nearly an inch from the door. Additionally, when I called - multiple times - to find a resolution and understand this absurd charge, I was told their "finance department" and "complaint department" would call me back. After multiple calls, texts, and emails, I have received no resolution and it's arguably been one of the shadiest business experiences of my life. They also evidently charge a 9% credit card fee which is just bonkers. I'm so disappointed with this experience and would genuinesly give negative stars if I could. DO NOT USE!!! I was scammed just like everyone else who has left a review. I was locked out of my house and in a slight panic to get in as I had just walked my bulldog (a breed that can easily overheat). I needed to get her in the AC as it was starting to warm up outside so I didn't take the time to investigate the company or read reviews - I called the first company that popped up on a Google search. I wasn't familiar with current pricing and assumed prices has gone up in the past 20 years but not to $800 to break into a house! When I called to complain, I was told someone would call me back in 30 min. No one called. When I called back, same thing, same result. I called the following day and asked to speak to a manager. I was in luck! This was a manager on the phone (yeah right). He acted very concerned about my concerns. He assured me that he'd look into it, review paperwork and phone recordings, and get back to me... never heard a peep. Each time I would call, I had to get creative about calling from other numbers because they block you once they know you're not happy. I'm shocked they can continually get away with this scam of a business. read more

SCAMMERS (512) 515-9657! I asked for the price and she couldn't give me one but i was waiting like a dumba$$ any way and got charged $325 to pop my door with a tool you can buy from Amazon lol. Then told i was being charged that amount because they use a "special tool" so they don't damage my door. I waited over an hour+ and even asked how much it was going to be and they didn't give me a price. Not even a spare plain a$$ key made for that price was included. As with other companies. It's my own fault but don't want anyone else to do what i did. I'm in the wrong business! But scamming isnt in me. I get it with gas, time and money but the "dispatch" woman could have gave me a price and i would have just declined the service since i had already been waiting over a hour+ when told he was the closest by me.
