Terrible customer service! Fees change daily and you will wait longer than an hour to get your vehicle after hours.

WARNING: You are NOT told about the 15% fee of the $125.00 towing fee plus the $4.00 per mile fee (3 miles for us) of $12.00 so you get to pay an extra $20.55 for "fuel adjustment". I was told not all towing services charge this fee but since our car broke down and the police said that we could not wait for them for an hour so they requested their services. Be aware, a 3 mile tow plus the convenience fee for using a credit card $5.51 which totaled $163.06. I called them & they said it is their standard practice. Just wanted you to know that your insurance company will not reimburse you for the fuel adjustment nor the convenience fee if you have USAA. read more

Jeff with Roadrunner Towing is the only one I'll call if I ever need a tow again. I was stuck in the middle of an intersection, panicking with the police telling me I was creating a road hazard, but unable to move because my brakes had locked up due to an electrical malfunction from a service I received from an Rv dealership, when Jeff came and saved the day. He was kind, and professional, and knowledgeable about what could and couldn't be done. Without his help, I would have been stuck there and it would have cost thousands to have my travel trailer moved. He is ethical and incredibly generous. More than fair. He was my super hero! Superior service. Friendly. Helpful. Quick. Convenient. Kind. Best in town after 3 other towing companies over the prior 48 hours failed to deliver. The others deceived my insurance by saying that I refused service when they found out it was a heavy motorcycle that needed towed, or simply no-showed. Unfortunately my vehicle was towed while I was in the hospital but the good folks at Roadrunner Towing took care of it and I am so thankful for them. I had work equipment in the back of it and had it been left to sit in the scorching sun and unpredictable rain surely my equipment would've been damaged. My car was impounded, I called in advance to let them know I was in my way less then ten minutes away at that. When I arrived office was closed, called the 24hr number and a very rude representative advised me that someone will arrive after an hour. False advertisement and very poor customer service. Have a car with a basically shot battery on base and Corey was here within minutes. He was so helpful and instead of towing it was able to get it jump started even after several attempts with another truck. After my son and daughters soccer practice my car did not start I called different places that had almost an gour of wait time and the cost was ridiculous. I called roadrunner towing spoke with Cynthia who by the way was very professional and understanding i explained to her I had all my kids and needed someone ASAP. She sait would take 30 min but then called me back 5 min later and told me there was someone 15 min away. Victor was the driver that showed up. I was in a car accident today and called Roadunner to come and pick up my car since my vehicle was undrivable. After confirming my location and phone number I was told they were sending a truck to come get my vehicle and they confirmed I would be there with a key. I waited for almost an hour the. Received a phone call from the Roadrunner office asking what kind of vehicle I was having picked up and they told me they would have someone there within te hour. This was of course unacceptable because it was 100 degrees outside and as requested I was waiting with my vehicle for an hour already. It is absolutely unacceptable to leave a customer waiting in the Texas heat for that long to then tell them it would possibly be another hour! I will NEVER use them again and will suggest all my friends and family do the same. read more

Josh from Roadrunner Towing came to our home today to pick up our motorhome and have it towed to our diesel mechanic. Not an easy task. Josh was very pleasant and helpful in explaining the steps that needed to be made to make it a safe towing trip. It took longer than I expected, but each motorhome is different and we were having numerous issues with the coach that had to be dealt with before it could to towed without causing damage. After being in a car accident and referred to them from my insurance, they got my credit card info and told me it would be an hour. I was on the phone with insurance when they called me an hour later, so I called back and because I missed their call they put me on another hour wait. When I talked to the representative or owner (whoever answers their phone), he was EXTREMELY rude and told me I should have answered my phone. After asking to speak to someone else I was hung up on. When I called back to get a refund, he said he could not help me. I have proceeded to tell my insurance about the quality of care this towing company provided, which was POOR and I will continue to complain about the way I was treated. I called another local towing company and they were NICE and HELPFUL and I was sent a tow truck in a timely manner. If you have a choice in picking a tow company, skip this company. read more

This is not the first time I've used Roadrunner Towing. Though it's never a good thing to need a tow truck, my experiences with them have always been extremely professional, so I always go back to them. Our truck was acting funny and didn't even want to chance driving it to the shop. We called Roadrunner and they picked it up early the next morning and absolutely no hassles. We have two large dogs, who are sweeties, but can be intimidating, so I thought I'd call the office, first thing, to warn the driver, but our truck was already, almost to the repair shop. These people are shady! I called to get basic information and not only was the guy RUDE, but he couldn't answer a simple question. I was charged almost $200 to tow less than two miles. When I asked how they determined the charges he got very upset with me and said there are different charges for different situations. I was quoted 75 in the beginning! WORST service EVER, EVER! Driver had a huge attitude problem. Showed up to pull a jeep out of the mud and told me it would cost $600-$1000 DOLLARS!!!!! I had no choice so I agreed- he was hugely intimidating and he knew it. When he was finished I thought he was towing it to my house, which was about 1/2 miles away, and he refused. LEFT IT ON THE CURB!!! Managed to drive over something when he was pulling it out so we spent 2 hours trying to cut away material that was hooked on the drive shaft!!! Again, he refused to ACTUALLY TOW IT! A towing service, refused to tow a vehicle 1/2 mile and leaves it on the curb. Doesn't even bother to put it on the street!!! CHARGED ME almost $1300!!!!!! Now lest not forget, I told him if he approached and pulled from the front of the vehicle it was dry, clear land!!! He refused to do that too and I said, "it'll prevent you from damaging the property" he said "oh! I don't care about the property!". Have to give some major kudos to Josh J and Cynthia. They were so amazing at handling my situation! My old suburban was stolen, but quickly recovered by Kirby PD and it was towed to Roadrunner Towing. I went the next day to pick it up, but since the keys were not recovered, and I did not have an extra set, I contacted a locksmith for a new key. Since it was close to closing time, Cynthia offered to have it towed to the street, so I would not have to continue to pay daily charges. When I found out how much it was going to cost to get a new key, I asked Cynthia and Josh J. if they could recommend someone that might take the vehicle off my hands. They did, and Josh J. also contacted me later letting me know a car flipper would offer me $50 more. In the end I decided to keep the car for now, and when I contacted Josh J. the next day to see if the car was still on the street (had not been stolen again) he offered to tow it to my house without me having to come all the way back into town to meet him. He got it done within the hour and in the pouring rain, and I did not have to cancel my family plans. He coached my son in getting the car safely parked in a place on my property that was out of the way. Great customer service and I will be highly recommending them. read more
