I was pleased with how they handled my car when it needed a tow. The woman who I had spoken with over the phone was professional and understanding of the situation. My son's car was needing to be towed from the car dealership to our home, and our insurance wouldn't cover it. I called Richard's towing, and they were quick with the response time- when it came to be that we didn't need them after all, they couldn't have been more understanding and nice about the situation. They were one of the ONLY tow companies who could come tow out of a parking garage...I'd called ten prior to them! They answered my questions RIGHT away were super nice and the driver was to me in under the time quoted! When the driver got there...turned out I didn't need a tow it was a backwards battery in my key fob! Wife had an accident and SAPD called this company. Everything was fine until transport time. Didn't drop vehicle where my insurance company repairs vehicles, even though I told him where to go. Result..had to get my insurance company to call another tow company to pick up vehicle from where he dropped it (that collision center will not do estimates or repairs for my insurance company), so it had to be transported to where I originally told the driver... If I could give zero stars I would. Worst experience I have ever experienced, I was not able to get my babies stuff out from the car, they let me go home without a proper car seat, they are very unprofessional. Would never recommend to anyone, hire anyone but this company. Owner doesn't care about a 2 month old baby, doesn't mind sending them home without proper care, I am 5 hours from home, and don't have time to be commuting back and forth. I understand it's a towing company and there is a reason why my car is there in the first place however it's STILL A SERVICE. First, my mom was the one calling around looking for it and it was late at night so one of the ladies that worked there said to come in the morning not that night and the additional fee would not be charged. NEVER TRUST VERBAL AGREEMENTS FROM ANYONE IN GENERAL of course there was no record of this conversation and the direct number given went straight to voicemail when I tried to call and verify. But anyway, they ask you to call an hour ahead before and your car isn't even ready when you get there. 3 stars at least none of my belongings seem to have been stolen. read more

I specifically asked for a flatbed, and they send a wheel lift. The dispatcher (Brian ) then said it will be 30 min for a flatbed, unfortunately an hour and a half later still waiting on a flat bed , killed my whole morning, I've used Richard towing before never had a problem. read more

My husband and I just had the worst experience from your company. A female driver was rude and unprofessional. She pulled our car on to the truck sideways with the parking brake on and in park! The female driver started verbally abusing my husband ,took our car to the wrong location then over charged us for taking our car to the location we originally ask for. To who it may concern: yesterday my car broke down and my girl who works with you guys on the regular decided to help me out by calling for your towing services. Angel, the guy who showed up was very good at what he did and took my car with no problem. Then I noticed my glasses were missing and my first instinct was to accuse this innocent man of him stealing my glasses and almost cost him his job and my wife's ability to work with your company. I am ashamed of myself for jumping to conclusions and accusing Angel of doing this, if your reading , I'm am very sorry for accusing you without knowing for sure what happened. I retraced my steps and where the pickup was and they were lying on the floor where I accidentally dropped them. My past experiences have led me to think that I will get taken advantage of, but not the case here. Instead I accused someone who is probably a very hard worker and I am sorry of that. I had the worst experience with them. I was in an accident and I had to have my vehicle towed from the scene. I was told it was only gonna cost $120. I go to pick up my truck and I was told me it was gonna cost $220 due to "hidden fees." I went to the website and it said "No hidden fees." That's false advertisement. And to top it off, the owner himself was so rude and disrespectful. He would not answer any of my questions. I will never go there again and I recommend that no one ever does. read more

TERRIBLE......Talk about the old bait and switch. I had arranged for my husband's truck to be towed and taken to a specific Auto repair place. I was told by the repair shop they would only charge me a set amount if taken within ten miles. I spoke to their "customer service person" or whoever she was to set an appointment for the truck to be towed...she had three opportunities, three phone calls were made to clarify the cost of the tow..... not a word, even when I asked if they accepted only cash or card....not a word about the cost of the tow. Well maybe she didn't hear me very well as I could hear her flushing her toilet in the background. When the tow truck arrived to pick up the truck, the amount increased and having no choice we had to pay. I called to bring their poor customer communications to their attention and again they were not interested. I won't be recommending to anyone any time. read more
