We were in a pickle with a vehicle in a tricky spot and he was able to get it out quickly and was super fun to work with in the process. As a AAA vendor the price was right as a AAA member. He ended up helping us twice and did so with a good sense of humor. He was also super quick and nimble operating his tow truck and moving everything. The rear tire blew on my Toyota Tacoma as my daughter was driving it on 410. I called AAA and within an hour Ridgeway Towing showed up. Bad spot on side of freeway- 8:45 at night - the gentleman was quick- towed the truck to where we needed it then sat and chatted with us for a few minutes. I have been blessed to have service 3 times 6 months ago my battery service as my battery died when we were at Mr Big's with a party. Ridgeway Towing not only came very quickly replaced the battery and we continued on our way. We called them out for what we thought was the battery and the gentleman let us know it was the starter. I took it to Freedom Chevrolet and was charged 269.00 from the original 229.00 . I would recommend Freedom Chevrolet. I called AAA which I have belonged to for over 40 years. This is the worst towing service. My vehicle never made it to the dealership. I called the next day asking where my vehicle was at they towed it to a storage instead and the made promises they'll get my vehicle to the dealership by 10 am then 12 pm. And nothing. Called the towing company and the person who runs the company said " we'll get the vehicle there when we get it there" and laughed and hung up on me. They shouldn't have a business is they can't provide quality service.the get one star only because I have to at least put one. read more

If you need towing with no timetable sure this service is fine. But if you need to schedule a pickup because you have a specific timetable to follow stay far away. I don't know what is going on but they have missed my pickup time 2 times in a row now. completely unacceptable especially when I scheduled these pickups at least 2 hours in advance. I was stranded at the San Antonio Zoo because my car would not start at all. It was the end of a long fun day at the zoo. And I called AAA and got Richy with Ridgeway. I was told it would take 90 minutes for someone to come and instead Richie was there in 20 minutes and helped me stop my car and get me and my daughter and my granddaughter on our way. Here is a limited review of the service provided by Ridgeway 4 days ago. I am a member of AAA, and unhappily my battery died an untimely death, completely without warning. Ridgeway has the contract for the San Antonio area, and a call to the AAA number connected me with the Ridgeway Operator. Unlike some other reviewers, my experience with the operator was excellent: prompt response to the call, and very professional. I explained that I would want the technician to connect to a memory saver during the replacement, and she conveyed such to the driver. I was told that the technician would arrive in 45 minutes, but in truth, I received a call within 15 minutes that the technician was already at my vehicle! Marwan explained that he would protect the memory, but that he did not use a memory saver. I was immediately skeptical, but Marwan told that he had an alternative technique. His technique: he jump started the car, and replaced the battery while my vehicle was runnning!! I was astounded. I had never heard of such a thing, but he was definitely correct. The memory was saved on my computers, and he replaced the correct battery, completed a diagnostic check on the charging system, and finished the job within 20 minutes. In my opinion, Marwan was one of the best technicians I had ever come across, and I can readily recommend his expertise and very good cheer with very high praise. Would I suggest the battery service from AAA, provided by Ridgeway and Marwan? Most definitely!! Safe motoring friends!! read more

In December 2024 I was shopping at Wal-Mart off military, when I came out My 2019 Toyota Tacoma would Not start,. I called AAA, they said it would be about 30 minutes, so I had my daughter pick me up because I lived 5 minutes away. We Ridgeway was there within 10 minutes. Today my 2024 Honda CR-V's dash board lit up like a Christmas tree! Indicators showed tires, steering, brakes, tires engine, etc. Very disappointed but, Brandon came to tow my ride to Hill Country Honda where I purchased the vehicle. This company deserves no stars. It is a complete joke. They had me waiting all day but failed to inform me and triple A they canceled my tow due to a fault of their own. I had to call to find out and then had a highly unprofessional dispatcher answer and lie about our conversation. If the owner is listening you should clean up your company, unless you condone that type of behavior then please carry on. I have read ALL the other negative reviews and it seems that it's a common occurrence to treat customers badly. If you have Triple A you should ask for a different provider to offer roadside service as this company does not deserve to be contracted by them and if you're just looking for a tow please find a more deserving company that San Antonio has to offer. read more

I called through my insurance for help with being locked out of my vehicle. It was very early in the morning and the insurance said it would be about 90minutes before anyone could come. But Fredrick called and notified me he would be at my location with a 20minute drive time. He came as expected. I'm being generous with giving Ridgeway Towing one star. I was unable to remove the wheel cover from my leased Toyota Corolla and needed help. It was important because I had a dealer appointment the next day to have the tire replaced. Called Toyota Roadside Assistance at 2:30 PM today and was told that someone would be out in an hour. After waiting three hours I called again to check on the status. Toyota was then given a time frame of 60-90 minutes from Ridgeway. After waiting another four hours (until 9:30pm), I called Toyota to cancel the request since it was late at night at this point. If you can't be reliable and follow through on your commitments, don't be a Toyota Roadside Assistance affiliate. If you're in San Antonio and you find out that Ridgeway will be giving you Toyota Roadside Assistance, do yourself a favor and request another towing service. UPDATE: Called Toyota Roadside Assistance today and Ridgeway was assigned again. Got an ETA of 90 minutes and Corey arrived within that time frame. Fast, efficient and friendly. Great way to redeem an unpleasant experience from the previous day. read more

Seriously, Anthony made my day. I really thought I was going to be stuck in San Antonio during rush hour waiting on AAA but as it turns out Anthony showed up to my rescue. I came to do a quick job in San Antonio and was ready to go back to Houston when I noticed I had a flat. I was dispatched Ridgeway Towing and I'm truly thankful. Anthony was there in 15 minutes. As a member of AAA, I was connected to Ridgeway in a time of need at 12:45pm. I was told by AAA a tow would arrive at 1:14pm. When they didn't arrive, the dispatch made a disparaging remark about AAA to me, a AAA customer. I received a call about every 20 minutes with another delayed time, and my tow driver did not arrive until 5:20pm. I have been with AAA for an extended period of time and have been satisfied with my services, but I feel the long wait time and lack of accurate timeframes was inconvenient to my needs and schedule. Thankfully, Mr. Gilbert made the process easy with his kindness and willingness to help. I am not sure if I would have any peace without him or AAA. Do not use this company! AAA called them to change my truck tire. I was stranded on IH 10 in San Antonio. The driver could not change the tire and could not get it loaded on tow truck. The dispatcher told AAA that it was stuck in the mud and they couldn't tow it. After calling dispatcher, they said they did not have the equipment available to load it and they could not help me. I was out of luck and my truck was left on the side of the highway. I never felt more helpless. Not a company you can rely on when you need them. I called my insurance company afterward and they sent a tow company who had it loaded in 10 mins, no problems at all. read more

I have AAA and whenever I needed assistance they always have been on spot with service lately until I came to San Antonio , and this company has been noting but issues after issues , first they are never never on time they gave me an hour estimate turns into 3 hours , and when I called them about any updates they tell me to wait .
