Run away, as far and as fast as you can!
We had a significant remodel complete with multiple rooms of cabinetry and tile quoted, procured, and installed by Rimrock cabinets. The Crown brand cabinets that we purchased were in good order and look nice, but the design process was trying and not particularly well done, nor were the pre-install design steps or imagery worth the price for the service. Several components were not ordered in the correct quantities and some were missing but we're rectified eventually. The third party installer did a good job installing the cabinets and making the best with what he was given in regards to a fairly poor design provided by Rimrock that we did our best to solve in the field with what we had.
However, the worst part was working with Angela, who provided all of the consultation and sales of the tile for multiple bathrooms. Her inability to work with contractors and quote, and procure the correct products caused delays of months. Reordering of specialty tile, and gross negligence on what was requested for the install and what our expectations were in regards to the end result led to the installer leaving the job and not returning. Although we requested Rimrock to have the installer to come prior to the install and confirm measurements and layouts, this did not occur, causing issues at install time due to lack of diligence on Rimrock cabinets part, causing further delays and frustration. The installed tile was poorly done, many tiles are not flat in relation to the next tile, the various bathrooms are not adequately waterproofed as requested and optionally required by the manufacturer of the products used, and the grout product that was recommended by Angela and Rimrock cabinetry scratched the glass tile that we had installed and is not a recommended product for such an installation. Since the installer they contracted, and offended, refused to return we were left with finding another party to solve the issues either through tear out or repair basically requiring us to pay double.
Rimrock Cabinets provided no warranty documentation regardless of several requests to have it in written form.
In short, do not work with Rimrock Cabinets for any reason, it is not worth your time or money. Many of the sub contractors that they used even stated that their services have declined significantly and will only perform the current work they have on the books for them as required contractually, confirming to me that they have burned more than just us but many of the people that they work with. read more
