Constantly losing floor plans and material decisions. The people installing the tile, carpet and backsplash were great, and did good work. The issue was Carol micro managing them and changing things we hadn't approved. The entire process was incredibly stressful, and make 1000 times worse every time we had to communicate anything to Rich's. Rather than have to deal with them at all, we hired different contractors to fix mistakes.

To make matters difficult, we had to do the original estimate long distance. We were living in Texas and relocating to Arizona. I provided the approximate square footage and they gave us a conservative estimate before putting their eyes on it. We wanted to know order of magnitude cost versus total replacement. We explained what kind of flooring it was with a couple of pictures (it was not solid hardwood and would not take normal progressive sanding being too thin). Their estimate was within our budget and we agreed to the terms. We agreed to have them inspect to determine if any additional repairs were required. They must be busy because we scheduled out a couple of months, which was okay since the house was empty. They were definitely worried about the condition before they got to view the floors. They completed the work a few days before we arrived. We were completely knocked over with how beautiful the floors were. To top it off, they came in within their estimate. Blame mostly the fabricators for not saying anything and not educating people, but Pierce "acted" like they cared and would help. Needless to say they ignored use and couldn't even be bothered to get us a detailed receipt for work done. They stopped responding to calls and emails and decided the crack in the countertop that appeared after the hole was cut for the faucet was our fault. They obviously don't care about you once they have your money. The last review my husband left on Google they immediately removed which says a lot about their transparency.
